    HORRIBLE FOOD!!! This picture was supposed to be Swedish crepes. Looked just like scrambled eggs and tasted disgusting. Missing items, bad food. Lots of good breakfast places around. Anywhere else would be better

    So I've never eaten here before but I was starving and it was late so I decided to call in my order on my way home(1:30ish am) I ordered 3 different meals Country fried steak, Turkey and stuffing and the pot roast. I was excited to try them all to see what I would like. Country fried steak was extremely good 👍 The other 2 I can't say the same. They both had the potential to be a great dish. The flavor on the meats tasted good. But both of them looked like the scraps of the night. Crunchy, thin and overcooked. I was very disappointed. All the sides I received with the meals tasted good. So to be honest I'm 50/50 on going back.

    Attempted giving them business 3 times. First time they took so long toddler got hangry had to get our food to go. Second attempt they said they didn't have enough staff and wouldn't serve us carry out only. 3rd attempt walked into more than half the tables empty and were told would be a 15-20 minute wait and refused to seat us. Will not try again.

    My husband and I attempted to dine in just after 11 a.m. on 8/27/23. We were greeted instantly by a young lady that asked us to give her a moment as she disappeared behind a wall. She proceeded to assist two servers delivering food to patrons already seated. She again asked us to wait a moment as she again disappeared behind a wall. After 5 minutes of waiting we decided to leave. But not before the family of 3 that came in after us left first. The sign out front says "under new management." If this is the new standard of service, I hate to see what service was like in the past.

    This place is just awful! The seats are all torn up, the tables have spilled old syrup on them, my food took over an HOUR! They messed up my order AND it was cold. I am very disgusted and disappointed with this IHOP. Service was okay we had Joseph he did remake my order and was very nice but the food was very cold and the place was just nasty. I did hear a lot of laughter in the kitchen so sounds to me my food was made a long time ago these workers were just too busy playing around NOT WORKING and doing a terrible job at their job! -5 stars from me!

    Definitely short of staff. Bud, the manager, was extremely nice and helpful, explaining how difficult it is to get people to work. He couldn't take his family to church this morning as he got called in to work. The host, his 2nd day, was rushing cleaning tables, seating people, helping the servers, and always smiling, even with rude customers. Sometimes you have to have patience.

    yesterday I came in at about 10:30 AM and as you could tell they were short staffed and very busy, our waitress was katrina I believe and I believe she was the manager helping out the servers and she was amazing! Even tho our meals took longer than expected she always gave us an update and she was very attentive! Will for sure be coming back!!

    We went to one Ihop in Merrilleville, IN and they had a few tables open, but never sat anyone at those open tables. Husband got upset, so we went to the IHOP in Schererville, IN. They were not very busy, but very short staffed. We waited quite awhile for our food and I took a couple of bites of my eggs and then found a hair in my food. Sent it back, they were supposed to make it right away! I never even got a new plate of food! I watched my husband eat and then a waitress came and asked me if I still hadn't gotten my new plate of food. Nope, sure didn't and told her to cancel it and give us our bill. We paid with a gift card and they took my card in the back, brought out my stub, stating that I had a balance on the gift card, but she didn't bring my card back. We had to ask for it! Such a terrible experience!

    I had to remind the hostess no one came to take our order. The hash browns were so crispy they hurt my teeth when trying to eat them. No utensils were given to us we had to ask for them. Np napkins on the table. No one came to ask if everything was OK or if we needed anything else.

    Food was just warm...cold. Eggs cooked badly. A good server would know, anticipate what you need. We had to ask for silverware. Pepper shaker was empty. I had to get one from another table. Terrible experience!

    I got charged for an order that I never received. Then after about a week trying to get a refund (pretty useless) they finally “issued” me a refund. They even knew my card #. But a month later they still have not issued me anything and the best part is they never gave me a receipt for my order as “they did not receive it”. So I’m not sure if these are just good tactics on how to not retain any customers and still make money? Based on the other comments they’re pretty good at not retaining customers.

    This location has definitely improved and I'm glad I returned. Nice to see it is staffed now. Our waitress was very friendly & attentive. Food came out fast. Will be returning.

    Horrible!! Went with my husband, completely empty restaurant, but took half an hour to have our orders taken. We were missing food, it was all cold, hashbrowns weren't cooked or crispy, eggs were small and rubbery, dirty cups with gunk on the inside, doughy and cold pancakes, very small portions. Terrible service with no refills or anyone checking on us. Staff just walked around doing nothing. No butter or syrup either which is ridiculous for the international house of pancakes. Absolutely don't come here.

    The server was amazing, she handled 4 adults and 3 children very well. My only issue was the small portion I received for a 20$ meal. Kinda looked like what I got when I went camping with my parents when I was 6, small portion..

    I want yesterday for Lunch . I will say the staff was nice but the food was terrible. The manager was kind and asked me did I have any issues? . I did tell her politely that our food took forever and the fish was terrible, it was old , overcooked and freezer burn . I told her the cooks need to get their acts together. So sadly we have to stop somewhere else for food after . Please get your act together. The place is always empty . That should be saying something.

    Staff was rude. They told us they were short staffed but i counted 6 employees dragging their feet around the empty dining room. Empty restaurant and still had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. No one greeted us at the table for 10 minutes before we finally got up and left.
