Wir können denen nicht zustimmen, die von unfreundlichen Damen am Ticketschalter berichten. Das Museum fanden wir klasse. Sehenswert der Film im UG, der über das Leben und Sterben von und mit der Seefahrt und dem Handel berichtet. Auch Dänemark war Kolonialmacht. Auch den Besuch der Museumswerft ist interessant!

Maritimes Erbe erleben. Hat mir gut gefallen. Viel Wissenswertes über Flensburg gelernt. Ich mag die Tradition und Historie. Haben sie schön aufbereitet. Viel wichtiger erscheint mir jedoch die Bedeutung für die Region damals, die sich aus dem maritimen ergab. Mit viel Geopolitik, die man sich dann bei gutem Kaffee ☕ und leckeren Kuchen 🍰 im Foyer des Schifffahrtsmuseum nochmal durch den Kopf gehen lassen kann. Wie sehe ich das heute, rückblickend? Welche Bedeutung hat das für die Gestaltung unserer Zukunft? Welche lehren können wir mit einfließen lassen?

It's fantastic. I enjoyed it and was surprised with all the old ships and there parts. Also the Rum machine. This museum comes highly recommend.

This is a wonderful place to explore and there are many things to see. Very good for kids as well.

Big exhibition in three houses, lot of interesting objects and facts, specially about rum :) You can also buy samples of rum in museum shop and take a rest in small caffe bar. Unfortunately no labels in English :(

It is a quite interesting place where you can get info on the history of city and its marine heritage. The building is divided into three sections, each tells a story of the great sailor of Flensburg or their huge ships and mashines.

Very interesting local history museum, recounting how Flensburg grew with trade including the Rum & Sugar trades with the Caribbean, and how slavery was in the picture. There is a very entertaining 20 minute movie (also narrated in English), which really is interesting and well presented, as well as the static displays showing, for instance, how the town has grown over the centuries. Note that the entrance fee is €8, but for an extra €2 you can get a ticket which also gets you into the 3 Museumsburgs exhibits (History, Natural History and Art) a bit further downtown, also well worth visiting 👍

Wirklich ein sehenswertes Museum. Gerade, wenn das Wetter mal nicht so mitspielt ein interessanter Ort, um die Zeit ins Flensburg sinnvoll zu nutzen. 👍

Wunderbarer Ort. Die Schiffe werden von Enthusiasten liebevoll erhalten. Der Besuch ist gratis.

Ein tolles Museum, wo man vieles erfahren kann. Man darf einiges anfassen und ausprobieren, was an den jeweiligen Ausstellungsstücken gekennzeichnet ist und daher auch für Kinder geeignet. Es ist alles sehr sauber und das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das komplette Museum ist Barrierefrei und mit Aufzügen ausgestattet. Der Eintritt ist günstig.

Schönes Museum direkt am Wasser. Gute Einblicke in die Geschichte der Schifffahrt und des Schiffbaus in Flensburg. Im Untergeschoss ist eine Ausstellung zu Sklaverei, Zucker und Rum. Ein liebevoll gestalteter Film führt durch diese Kapitel der Geschichte Flensburgs. Der Knüller ist der Museumshop mit seiner Riesenauswahl an verschiedenem Rum. Man kann auch mal eben probieren bevor man sich entscheiden muss.

Tolles Museum, auch mit Kindern absolut empfehlenswert.

Es war ein kleines aber sehr gut gestaltetes Museum. Ich persönlich fand es sehr interessant. Zu empfehlen ist die Rum Geschichte Flensburg.

Well Worth for all machina enthusiasts. Great collection of moving steam engine models, cinema with interesting movie about region and city history, ship models, and history of colonial past.

The "Sugar-Rum-Slavery" section is truly splendid. I had tears in my eyes while watching the video. It was a few years ago, so I am not sure if the exhibition has the same shape. But the museum is high class no matter which section.

We didn’t get to do the museum but had a few coffees with a few rum balls. Friendly service and great coffee.
