Food Quality: i was very pleased with the food’s taste and texture. Everything felt very freshly made. The dessert trio is quite interesting, but was not a big fan of the knodel dessert one. Portions: quite big and very satisfying. We only had main courses and felt quite full. Was very tempting to get some starters but would have suffered later the food coma. Drinks: many options to pick from (wines, cocktails, spirits, beers), but being a german style restaurant i went for some local draft beers. Price: $$ for this amount of food and quality, I believe it was very fair pricing. Average to any restaurant of this quality. Service: very friendly staff, drinks and food was quite fast. Atmosphere: there’s an amazing terrace outside with a nice view of the river. Inside its cosy and very german style decorated. Highlights: the terrace, the schnitzel, and of course the welcome shot of beer when you first arrive. Things to improve: it was a pity to be requested to move inside quite early. Even earlier than the noise rule in place. It was a lovely evening and would have been nice to be allowed outside a bit longer.

This is a wonderful schnitzel place everything is just cooked so well first I got the pork schnitzel which was made so well crunchy on the outside and flavorful in the inside next I got the pretzel vegan schnitzel which tasted like bread obviously which a nice crunch and the sauce that came with it was very cream and delicious the last schnitzel I ordered is wrapped in beef and has pickles and other things in there (I forgot the name of this schnitzel) lastly for dessert I got the ice cream which was fine nothing special 5/5 all of the schnitzels were amazing

Unfortunately, I have not tried your food, even tho my partner and I were waiting for so long to go to this place. Thank you, dear waiter, who left a very inappropriate comment on my nationality and gender. I strongly believe that this is not acceptable in any case. Please, educate your staff!

I did not liked it, you get a small beer for greater and the service is fast. But I found the portions to expensive. Don’t get me wrong the tast was good and I liked the size of the portions as well but 33€ for schnitzel and 2 beer is pricy. The ambiance is not up to that price and the beer had no foam. Lot of room for improvements there.

Let’s get straight to the point: it’s not the best Schnitzel in Berlin BUT it’s actually a lot of fun to spend an evening here. At the door we’ve been welcomed with a bright smile and they instantly offered us a drink for a smooth arrival. I really enjoyed the visit and, to be honest, the bavarian-type Schnitzel, marinated with honey mustard and horseradish, was dar from being bad! 🤤 While there is delicious stuf on the menu, I still think the standard “plain” Schnitzel is not Berlin’s finest. 😁

Two things are very special about this place its location and food quality. It's located in a beautiful neighborhood where nature is abundant, you can enjoy looking at the river while dining then take a walk after. I believe this is the best schnitzel quality I had in Berlin, however it is quite pricey and had less portion than other places I tried. The waitress was very friendly, and I enjoyed a nice lunch their with my family during the summer. I will be coming back

The best schnitzel I've ever had. Definitely exceeded my expectations although they were already high. As soon as I arrived the staff was super friendly and welcoming. Our waitress was amazing and made us feel welcomed with a free but small "welcome beer". I don't speak german so our waitress spoke to us in perfect english which made us feel even more welcomed. The price of the schnitzel was rather expensive (24,50€) but as soon as I had a bite of it, I forgot about the price. It was by far the best schnitzel I've ever had. Everything about it was heavenly. The portions were big so I understand the pricing. After we had had our schnitzels, we had to order the apple strudels as we were in germany. It was the perfect combination of cold vanilla ice cream and warm apple goodness. After we had paid, our waitress offered us to have a schnapp which was a nice gesture. I can't recommend this place enough. You MUST come here if you're visiting Berlin. I do recommend you to make a reservation as it gets full fairly quick.

I recently dined at Schnitzelei, a local Berlin restaurant that exceeded my expectations. The portions were great, and the staff there were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made for an even more enjoyable experience. We tried the mushroom schnitzel and dessert, and everything was absolutely delicious. The portions were very generous, which was great value for money, and the food was of a high standard. If you're in Berlin and looking to try some local cuisine, I would definitely recommend Schnitzelei. It's worth a visit, as the food and service are exceptional.

Allerdings eben nichts besonderes.

Amazing experience. Great Service and very nice atmosphere. The food was super taste for a fair price considering the quality you get and that it’s in a cool neighbourhood

service is quite lackluster and wait times between courses (even drinks) was unjustifiably long; food was acceptable, and the vibe is great. there was an extremely odd ending to the night with the employee pressuring us strongly to tip

I always want to go again and again 😍 Also being veggie. The mushrooms are amazing! Super friendly staff, the food is the best Snitzel in the county. Generous portions. Also to take away, the taste is amazing and the prepare every detail for home 🥰 (lemon, bread, cucumber, everything the same that dining in). Accept card and is better to make a reservation.

Really nice location by the Spree. Staff were all happy and polite. We especially recommend the Wiener Schnitzel and the Jägerschnitzel. Both were very delicious and the side dishes were also great. Really good value for money. Be aware that the restrooms are down a very steep and narrow spiral staircase, though.

A very wholesome meal with no frills. The service was very fast and friendly and, like all places in Berlin, all staff speak English. The portions are very large (see photos) so make sure you come with an appetite.

Good quality. This time the Wiener Schnitzel was unfortunately a little oily. But it's still a place a love to be. The dessert was a dream, the beer is excellent and the service is very kind

A very nice and cosy authentic German restaurant. The vibes here are very sofesricated and the service is perfect. The waiter was very friendly and funny. Although the atmosphere is good, the food was not the best and we have to order fries instead of roast potatoes. Whats the point of visiting a authentic restaurant and ordering french fries. Also the portion was small for the price.

It was a cold winter evening in Berlin and I had been looking forward to trying the schnitzel here all day! On Mondays they have a special where some of their schnitzels are available at a discounted rate, so I made a reservation via OpenTable to ensure I got a seat Monday night. Upon arrival I was greeted by a friendly waiter who offered me a free small glass of beer, how wonderful! I got the veal schnitzel and it was delicious! Perfectly breaded and thin. Definitely recommend getting the cranberry sauce on the side for an added sweetness. If I’m ever back in Berlin, I’ll definitely make sure to keep a visit on my itinerary.

It's for sure the holy moly of schnitzel ... I've ordered the weiner and it was more than expected. Also a lot of vegan dishes that seem attractive. Its right between the lake so if you find the Resto as less people as i had its absolutely chill and stunning to eat your schnitzel in a mindful way :) .

Excellent meal with generous servings. The schnitzel is simply superb. When seated, you’ll be offered a welcome beer which is a nice gesture that speaks to the generosity and attention they all have. Menu is available in English too.

Curious rustic place in Charlottenburg. As the name suggests, they offer a wide variety of meat, but also have several vegetarian options on their menu. The vegetarian Cordon Bleu was really quite good. Service was very quick and friendly. I can definitely recommend this place.

Exceptional staff. Friendly, attentive, and quick. The place is spotlessly clean. We had both the Bavarian and Weiner schnitzel, and both were very good.

Always a good choice, even though they only offer a reduced menue during Corona times. Quality of food as well as service very good and a good distance to other tables or a divider to avoid close contact

Probably one of the best vegetarian dish I ever had. I missed schnitzel since I stopped eating meat and here I found an incredible meatless schnitzel!

I love the area, and this place has a good vibe! I’v had better food (Schnitzel was ok) but overall 4/5 still good enough to recommend. Make reservation to sit on nice patio! Lots of menu options to choose from 👍

Amazing place for authentic German cuisine (schnitzel especially). Great portions, tasty food (homemade bread is amazing). Even better is the service! Such friendly waiters/hosts. Overall best restaurant experience in Berlin. Highly recommended!

Another one of those hidden gems. Schnitzelei is hitting the right notes when it comes to balancing the menu for vegan/vegetarian and non vegan guests. Before ending up at Schnitzelei we had some trouble finding a place that succeeded in offering something interesting for both worlds and we were not disappointed. No need to be afraid of too tiny portions, kid friendly, (small) dogs are no problem and a humoristic hint of despise against non-alcoholic beer gave me that familiar conservative reassurance that we were still in Germany. Just a little note, perhaps because we just came in at noon, right when they opened, but it was a bit fresh for some of us. Will surely come back soon!

We've celebrated wedding day of our friends here and were very touched by such a friendly team and amazing service. Great food, indeed! Thank you so much for your kind work and efforts to make that day so special :)

The waiter and the hostess were extremely unprofessional and rude. We have followed the corona protocols in Berlin, and they just started investigating and asking our vaccination history, what vaccine had we taken, were we recovered, where we recovered, when all in all checking our CovPass certificate should have been enough because the app is what verifies and informs them if we are eligible to get inside or not. After they finally saw we were eligible with showing all our PERSONAL DATA, we were offered a table, but after this unpleasant experience, we felt uncomfortable by this whole charade and decided against eating here, when leaving we informed them of this and the hostess said “Dann nicht”.

The staff is simply indescribable! Fantastic atmosphere, full professionalism and delicious food. Interior pleasing to the eye.

  • 3/5 Barb T. 2 years ago on Google
Service is good and portion sizes are massive. You are asked about your vaccination status just like any other restaurants and upon sitting you are rewarded with a free beer 🍺. We were a party of two and ordered 2 vegetarian options - the breaded oyster mushrooms (Austernpilzschnitzel) and pan fried dough balls (Försterinnenschnitzel). Each was 16.50€. We weren't big fans of either dish as it was quite heavy, and I think a bit bland. Perhaps the meat options are better or schnitzel isnt really our thing? We had the dessert platter which saved the meal 10,50 €. The chocolate mousse was our favourite.
