It was a fantastic trip back in time. Very impressive to see how they bring the wild west to live with horses and special effects in an open air theater lokated around a rock. Just beautiful especially at night and definitely fun for everyone.

It's just amazing how the actors are. Self-irony, humour, they can ride, they provide entertainment for children and adults alike. Once you've been there, you have to come back again and again.

Great event, great costumes, great open air theater, a bit too crowded though

Supposedly a great show. Was supposed to be seated front and center but could not go to seat because our kid was asleep in his pram. After being told it was ok to seat somewhere in the middle, eventually got told off and had to go all the way up to the very back seats where it was very windy. Completely killed it for me.

Family atmosphere full of happiness. Cowboys Indians. Good holism love story. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's a must for the hole family and those that never stopped being a cowboy

Visited after 15 years again. Loved it as a child, still great as an adult. Can recommend to check it out again. Saw the first book. Looking forward to check in again next year

Best open air theater in Germany. Great show with lots of explosions and mesmerizing moments.

I was here for the first time to such a show and location. The moment I arrived I noticed the souvenir shops (that are mainly for children), the typical food stands with typical German fast food(no döner). The open air theatre stage is very big with multiple buildings and a train. The show had modern jokes for the parents. The uses of pyrotechnics and the animals were grate. Grate atmosphere and a grate place to spend a complete evening at.

It's very nice. There are lots of shops where you can buy souvenirs and jewellery. But it's not a thing in the city, they do it every year, I think. I personally felt it was quite offensive to Native Americans. Especially when the Native actor joked about being the only member of his tribe. Genocide is not a joke.

The Karl- May show has been going for years and is based on the cowboy novels written by the author Karl May. It is a lot of fun with goodies and baddies chasing each other around the set. A great show for children and features lots of horses. It is open air and you sit on wooden benches so take something warm to wear and maybe a cushion to sit on.

I visit every year if I can. The atmosphere is fabulous and it is a great day out for the family. If you like the stories of Karl May - Winnetou and Old Shatterhand - you will find a unique interpretation with each year's function. Either afternoon for everyone or the later shows with fireworks and even more cosy effects. Look out for the premiere and the very last function - both usually the ones with the most side effects and fun. Bring suncream and raincoat and a pillow, just to be prepared!! :-) I love this place.

Once you get over the lack of Hollywood special effects, if you're spoilt like that, it's a great experience. I've been there twice, one year was considerably better than the other, so you're gonna have to inform yourself about the specific play you choose to watch and maybe be a bit lucky with the weather and actors you get. Snacks and drinks are available at reasonable prices.
