This place is supper cool and a total hidden gem in Waikiki. Fortunately, we were able to secure a private tour thanks to Ben who is one of the family members that runs the place. It is actually a whole jewelry manufacturer, but they have an amazing collection of gems and minerals on display that are all in a museum like environment. Along with the tour, it is a great experience for young to old.

This place is amazing! It is the only museum type cultural attraction that is walking distance - so close to the beaches- it's right there! Great place to go when you don't have tons of time- you could view the place in 30 min or linger for an hour! Great for solo or fun for kids. I am so glad I didn't miss out on this place! What's really neat is how authentic it feels and the owner is warm and wonderful! You can experience a casual, self-guided tour through the gallery and view tons of gemstones, pearls, coral, rocks etc! There are some exceptional and uniquely ancient pieces in the collection that will blow your mind! To top it off, you can peruse the small store of on-site made jewelry. The prices are very affordable and the range includes gift worthy items and fine jewelry to treat yourself. (I purchased authentic gold/pearl drop earrings and I treasure them)! The thing about the jewelry they sell is it is seriously the ONLY place on the island you can shop in peace for yourself or gifts- you can linger and enjoy without being hassled- and with crazy good prices! Don't miss this stop! It's not like any other attraction on the island. It's well-loved, and though not fancy- it's absolutely worth a visit!

A charming showcase of beautiful carved jade and assorted minerals. Expect to spend 10-30 minutes here enjoying the art. I visited mid-afternoon on a weekday so it was not busy.

Hello! Here is a review of the Lucoral Museum in Hawaii: The Lucoral Museum in Hawaii is a unique gemstone museum that is definitely worth a visit for anyone interested in geology, jewelry, or history. The museum features a stunning collection of precious and semi-precious gemstones, many of which have been crafted into breathtaking jewelry pieces. Visitors can see a wide variety of stones, ranging from diamonds and rubies to lesser-known minerals such as alexandrite and opal. One of the highlights of the museum is a room entirely dedicated to fossils and ancient artifacts, including dinosaur bones and teeth. The attention to detail in the displays is impressive, and the information provided is both informative and engaging. The staff at the Lucoral Museum are friendly and knowledgeable, and take the time to answer any questions you might have. They are happy to share stories about the history and meaning behind the gemstones and jewelry, which adds a personal touch to the experience. All in all, the Lucoral Museum in Hawaii is a must-visit for anyone interested in the beauty and science of gemstones. It is a well-curated museum with an extensive collection, knowledgeable staff, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Not so busy with the whole COVID deal, but they do tours for schools and kids of their museum otherwise. Really have some GORGEOUS pieces and a stunning collection of LARGE carved precious stones (more like boulders) throughout. They will work with you to make custom pieces, are VERY good at their work, kind, courteous, well-priced with quality merchandise. Call and ask and they will be happy to help you with whatever you need (one interesting piece hanging inside is a dress made of pink and white coral and pearls. Makes me think of the 1920's almost Gatsby era!) Amazing what they can do! You think of it, they can do it!

What an inspiring example of "be the change you want to see" - this super-nice extended family saw there was a gap in the offerings of the natural history museums on the island (Bishop, BYU), so decided to share free access to their own collection of minerals, gems & carvings to (now two) generations of school kids & tourists alike! They also handcraft a wide range of jewelry. All in all, a nice break from the Waikiki tourist scrum!
