We stayed a whole week here and really enjoyed our time. The cottages are on a beautiful garden full of fruit trees and big plumeria trees. The location is literally across the street from a very nice beach that was fun to swim in and watch the sunsets. It was very quiet and serene despite being on a busy road. The location is wonderful, being that it's nearby a great farm stand, small coffee house and down the road from great restaurants and good beaches. Kihei is a great, unpretentious town that was easy to get to and from other great places on the island. The inside of the cottages are nothing fancy but accommodating. We had everything we needed, full kitchen with basic cooking supplies, coffee machine (with ground coffee!), towels including beach towels, comfy bed, tv, and a great porch to sit on. There's no housekeeping service during your stay (which we prefer), but you can request it. I don't know why you need someone to come and clean up after you during your stay but if you're into that sort of thing, it's available. There is also a coin operated laundry room available for you to use and you can purchase laundry pods from the front. Great for us to do some laundry before we left for home. The staff here are so genuinely nice and made us feel very comfortable as soon as we arrived. We were even gifted a huge pomelo grown on the grounds as we checked in! Very sweet family and people. We would absolutely stay here again in the future. The price was right, the place was great and it was a wonderful relaxing experience. 10/10

What a great little place this is! The family that runs it is very kind. Our cottage was clean, and the amenities are pretty good. The property is beautiful, with so many flowers and plants everywhere you turn. Beach towels and chairs are provided, and the towels are refreshed on request. We also got fresh linens half-way through our stay. We will definitely come back next time!

The rooms are newly remodeled. The location of this place right on the beach. Food spots are close by. Your supporting locals instead of massive resorts. I would definitely stay here again.

We always stay in cottage #4, the ocean is like 50' from the door. You do have to cross a road to get to it, but traffic isn't bad. At night, when the traffic dies down, you can hear the roar of the waves crashing. Very tidy little unit, queen bed, 2 day beds in livingroom. Rooms have most everything you need to cook. Fridge, stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker, blender. There are grilling areas centrally located, and a few places to just relax. You can even request a hammock. Quite often people pass on what they bought and haven't used, so theres usually some items hanging around - chairs, towels, coolers, beach umbrellas to use for the beach. Shower outside unit for removing sand. Cozy little porch with table and chairs. Picture is from the porch.

They have absolutely no Aloha spirit. As a resident next door to this location the property owners appear to be rude towards neighbors. Their attitude “is stay away”. My experience was just hoping to avoid the busy car traffic and the blowing sand off the street so I was crossing their grass, however I was immediately asked to leave. It would have been simply okay “he is local let him just walk past.” Instead they chose to ensure I knew I was NOT welcomed. Aloha NONE.. find a more friendly place. Note the picture shows there is NO sidewalk on either side of the street, so unfortunately my “neighbors “ don’t care if we are hit by cars but want us to stay off their land. Bad dharma here.

I stayed here for 10 days. These cottages were clean and comfortable - set in a beautiful garden with lots of space around them. Nearly all the cottages have an ocean view. And right across the street was a long stretch of beach - great for viewing the sunset. The owners were lovely people - very friendly and accommodating. A little know fact there are rooms available in the main house for larger groups. On sight laundry, Netflix, beach chairs, umbrellas, loungers and deck were a big bonus. It’s close to the Keālia Pond National Wildlife Refuge - we’re you can walk the boardwalk and walk the pristine quiet beach. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Elena and Aisha!

Very cozy and affordable compared to other places in town. Air conditioning works great, bed is super comfy, room spacious, and staff for accommodating. Minimal rooster sounds heard here. If you're looking for a place near beaches, this has one across the street, but it isn't as nice as beaches further south... which can be remedied by a 10 minute drive.

Stayed here for 5 nights and I would do it again. The staff is extremely nice and welcoming. They answered all questions and truly try to make you feel at home. One night, my wife and I were going to have dinner at a table and one of the employees went out of their way after work hours to give us a table cloth. Really felt cozy staying here and it was really nice that we had easy access to the beach, which makes great for sunsets!

Beautiful property, right across the street from beach. Northern part of Kihei. 7 clean, spacious cottages. Three one-bedroom units in Main Bldg. Large bathrroms & showers. Wi-fi provided. Laundry Room w/Washers & Dryers on property. Friendly, helpful Staff.

We would like to express our gratitude to Ray (forgive us if the name is not accurate). Upon departing, we discovered that one of our tires was flat and had to wait for maintenance for over two hours. However, Ray promptly asked us what had happened and quickly and efficiently changed the tire to a spare one. Thanks to his prompt action, we were able to make our flight on time.

So fun having our own little cottage! We have two kids ages 8 and 10 and it was a perfect set up for them to each have their own bed and for me and my partner to have our own room. Our favorite part about this stay was being able to walk right outside our door and feel like it was our own front yard. Beautiful grounds and really well-kept. It was great having our own kitchen and tiny house, made it really easy to imagine living here forever - it definitely made us dream about it! ☺️

My fiancée and I had a great stay here. Staff was super kind and helpful, location right across from the beach was great, and the property itself is lovely.

The property is beautiful and well kept. The women who run the property are a mother and daughter and we’re so helpful during our stay and gVe my husband and I many options for food coffee spots, farmers markets and beaches to visit. We just really enjoyed our stay, and loved how quiet it was and really enjoyed the property it self every morning we sat on our deck and had coffee then we both read/journaled in the lawn area before we started our day. Then would walk across the street to the beach and jump in the water. It was amazing. I also left my journal in the drawer and the second they found it I was texted about what was left behind and they automatically sent it to my home that day! Next time we visit Maui we will for sure be going back Nona Cottages. Already planning a family trip out there to rent out multiple cottages

It is its own style. Low key. Ocean instead of pool. Easy access to cottages. No big grand property or giant lobbies. I would do again for sure. Perfectly comfortable and pleasant.

We love this place and stay here every time we visit Maui from Big island. Walking distance to our kids place, plus decent beach right across the street. Amazing sushi restaurant just up the street. Great, unique and local kine place. Perfect for us, who don’t need any of the usual tourist junk.

I have no idea where to start on this review.. The heartwarming we got from these amazing ladies. Elena, Aisha and one other lovely lady we didn't catch her name. We felt at home They don't treat you like a business. They treat you like family. From the moment I drove up to the cottages The beautiful garden layout. I walked into the office and just the smile I received from Elena was so welcoming and warm I knew I chosen the right place to stay.. I'm looking forward to our next Maui vacation. We will definitely come back and stay longer. Thank you Ladies for opening your home to us.. Mahalo.. 5 STARS isn't enough They deserve 10⭐️.. 👏Hands down to Nona Lani Cottages

stayed her for six weeks for an university exchange program. The cottages are so beautiful, the scenery is stunning, and the sunset views are unmatched. Also, you’re ten feet from the beach! the best part, however, was the Kong family owners. They took us students in with unbelievable hospitality and kindness, and I will never forget how well they treated us. Thank you for hosting me & my friends Val, Elena, Ayesha, and Nona — we will never forget it.
