I like my okonomiaki less doughy. These were a little thick. We are used to a thinner batter with more cabbage than dough. But very tasty! The soundtrack playing took us right back to summertime in Japan ❤️ cicada sounds and all 🇯🇵

The karaage is really juicy. The gyudon is really tasty. Friendly services. I think the price is reasonable. I can feel the Japan vibes in the restaurant,not the fine-dining one but the street food and simple Japan atmosfer. Btw,not related to the food: the toilet is really clean so it is an extra point for me.

Charming restaurant offering authentic Japanese street food. If you’re used to only sushi, don’t shy away from this place simply because they don’t have it. Their selection and execution of Japanese street food is on point. We were so pleased to have discovered this place that we ordered almost half of their menu (we didn’t get to take a lot of pictures sadly because we were too excited to eat). We got the seafood okonomiyaki and it’s best one we’ve ever had in Belgium! The tako karaage (fried octopus), takoyaki (octopus balls) and gyoza (we got duck dumplings) were to die for. We also got shrimp tempura, wakame (seaweed salad) and edamame for starters and they were authentic. For cocktails, we got the recommended umeshu (plum liqueur) which was amazing. It was sweet and sour, and went great with the food. They also have ramune (Japanese softdrink) which is great since the regular grocery stores in Antwerp don’t usually have it. For dessert, we got the yuzu cheesecake (great if you like lemon tarts) and the dorayaki akazuki (pancake with red beans). Everything was so good! The place is a lot more spacious than what you’d think if you were only looking from outside. The inside has 20 seats actually. Cozy interiors. The couple who owns the place are very friendly. Mad props to the lady chef for her awesome dishes. The service was really quick too even when they’re packed! They also do takeaways. Very highly recommended! 10 out of 5 stars!

We came here for a lunch before we left for home. We got a warm welcome and had a seat. We ordered two sodas an Okinomiyaki, Kare age and some tako yaki. All of these dishes were very tasty. But also a bit on the pricey side. This is a good place if you like to have some actual Japanese food which is not sushi.

Cosy little restaurant. Owner was really friendly and explained the menu thoroughly. Food was great, especially the deserts. We had the doryaki and Sakura mochi which were beyond devine. Only critique is that I felt the prices were slightly on the pricer side for the portion sizes offered but that's just my opinion. None the less, would definitely revisit.

We (party of 2) ordered the dumplings as appetiser and each took a noodles dish followed by a dessert. Together with the drinks we only spent about 60 Euro in total. The main dish was delightful. It used to be one of my favorite food places in Antwerp, but last time was a big disappointment. The prices have gone up extremely, while the portions or food quality didn't. The Okonomiyaki has never been more expensive than 15 euro, now it's 19. They used to put lo s of bonito flakes on top of it and now just very few. Also edamame is now 7 euro, while other places is always 5 or 6 euro, and the beans were very cold on the inside... Very sad the place became like that.
