A
well
appointed
hotel
and
restaurant
set
in
the
middle
of
the
village.
We
were
greeted
by
the
server
(a
dear
old
Bavarian
lady)
who
offered
us
a
choice
of
table
in
the
light
and
airy
restaurant.
As
we
took
our
seats
she
came
over
to
take
our
drinks
order.
We
had
2
of
the
Weihenstephan
beers
on
offer.
Our
food
order
was
taken
before
the
drinks
were
delivered,
the
other
half
had
pork
loin,
with
cheese
spätzle
and
creamy
mushroom
sauce
and
I
had
the
pork
steak
with
a
dark
beer
and
onion
sauce.
The
server
brought
our
drinks
after
the
food
order
was
taken
and
the
food
wasn't
long
after.
The
pork
loin
was
well
cooked,
the
spätzle
and
mushroom
sauce
complimented
it
perfectly.
My
steak
was
served
with
potato
wedges,
which
was
a
good
thing
as
the
dark
beer
sauce
was
incredible,
mildly
bitter
from
the
beer
and
a
touch
of
sweetness
from
the
onion,
all
mopped
up
with
the
wedges.
The
bill
was
on
the
high
side,
but
well
worth
it.
