This is a hidden gem on the pictures island of Föhr. Highly recommended. Resembles beautiful art of renowned artists, engaged in art research as well as giving local artists space to display their art work. Thumbs up for the exhibition. The building is a jewel, tugged into the frisian style village of Alkersum. For visitors who know Louisana museum Copenhagen, similarities are well in place.Beautiful... No queues to get in. Ein Besuch im Museum der Westküste ist immer wieder schön. Das Museum ist toll gemacht und bietet mit seinen wechselnden Ausstellungen jedes Mal eine neue Entdeckungsreise durch die unterschiedlichen Räume und Ebenen. Es gibt auch einen kleinen Museumsladen. Die Eintrittspreise sind absolut im Rahmen.

Tolles Museum, mit abwechslungsreichen Ausstellungen und einer tollen Architektur. Es lohnt sich immer wieder vorbei zu schauen. Im Angrenzend Restaurant kann man toll im Museums Garten etwas essen. Die Abwechslung zwischen Fotografie, Malerei und Installationen ist klasse und macht spaß!

Immer wieder interessante Ausstellungen. Man gewinnt immer wieder neue Eindrücke. Sehr sehenswerte Fotografien von dem Dänen Per Bank Jensen. Der Film mit dem Interview mit ihm ist toll!

It may not be the Orsay, but it is a precious little well curated museum focusing on artwork depicting the sea and coastal life. Well worth a trip! I especially appreciated them checking the patrons' testing and vaccination status at the door, not just by glancing at it, but rather verifying it with an official verification app - the way it is supposed to be done.
