Best place to study Informatiks (Computer Science). There are a plethora of courses offered with the most recent and advanced concepts covered in the syllabus. The system is still very old school, like everywhere else in Germany though, the assignments are compulsory to get eligibility for the exams. All the courses are heavy math oriented, not good if you don't like proofs and not for someone who just wants a job after their study program. The courses are completely research based, dwells deep into the details of each topic and makes the fundamentals clear.

I wish i could give half a star or no star. I interacted with prof. OLIVER PETERSEN and i regret emailing him. He discouraged me by telling me that there is minimum chance to get admission and asked me to apply anyway. What does that mean? I cant believe that this is a person who teaches philosophy to many students. Such biased and uneducated people cannot be professors in a university. Such a shame!!

It has its headquarters in Saarbrücken and Homburg . The Saarbrücken campus, whose core is the former Belovo barracks, is located in the Saarbrücken city forest within the district of St. Johann . Currently, about 17,000 students are enrolled , the proportion of foreign students is over 19 percent. The university employs about 3,000 people, including about 250 student and research assistants.
