We were a family of three and we stayed there for a weekend. The overall stay was ok, some things can definitely be improved. Good things: Location is quite good, a few minutes walking from the train station and very close to the tram and bus station, you can reach the Bismarckplatz (the main square) in a few minutes. The room was clean. They have a vending machine for drinks and snacks. Not so good things: The soap dispenser in the bathroom was empty, I find it surprising that they don't check this before every stay, we had to ask three times to get it filled, it was not a good customer service I would say. The rooms are not cleaned daily. They also serve breakfast but we didn't take that. The bathroom has a hair dryer. About accessibility, they are wheelchair accessible, they have an elevator.

Had a bed in a 4-bed dorm. Bed, room and everything else was very clean and in superb condition. Service was very friendly and the breakfast was outstanding. Location is close to the railway station so about 2,5 to 3 km away from „Altstadt“. Would come again 👍

A great designer hotel, good amenities and breakfast. Dormitories are fine, it you have your friends in them. I have never seen such a chaos, dirt and destructional behavior of guests and a lack of control from side of the hotel.

Very small twin room, beds were tiny. Stayed 3 nights, room wasn’t cleaned, insufficient towels, no kettle. However the worst thing was a man letting himself into my room as reception had allocated him my room!

We booked a twin bed room it was 1 bed with twin mattrasses. There were no glasses at all in the room. We couldn't turn the cold air conditioning off. So we had to take the card for elecricity out making it difficult to find the toilet in the night. Trams outside were very loud. Breakfast, basic.

Overall facilities were very well maintained and thought out. Comfortable beds, clean washroom, good a/c. Locker service is also provided for free if you need to store your baggage prior to leaving the city.

Great staff, I really loved the peaceful and yet good reachable location. The room was clean and nice, the shower was very pleasant and big! Also I loved they have a kitchen and a bar. I‘d love if some common activities in the evening would be present , but not compulsory. Also they have nice crevices like bike renting. Will come again!

I had a wonderful experience, the location is really good, just a couple minutes from the train station and you can walk even to the castle. The service is good, a bit on the slow side a couple of times but nothing major and the rooms are marvelous.

Good: size, fridge for the guests, reception 24hrs, bathroom, sofa in the room, free fruit, functional internet, luggage store room. Bad: Not in the city center, a lot of noise from kids that were in a school-travelling, only one chair for a double room, no boiler, no fridge in the room.

Extremely clean room and toilet. Booked a bed in a 4-bedroom female hostel. Staff at the counter was very friendly when I checked in. The room and the toilet were very clean. There were even sufficient storage space for my luggage.

Very nice hotel. Rooms and beds were very comfy. Great AC. We went as a group with 20 teens and the hotel was great. They have a downstairs area which was great for them to congregate. The staff was very nice and we had an excellent dinner of Italian lasagna prepared by Cosima.

The hostel itself is wonderful, but since it's a 40-minute walk to and from the old town it wasn't convenient to come and go. Basically we went out for the day and came back at night. Also, the triangular lockers are unique, but not very practical.

Room was very clean and has everything you’d need plus the staff was friendly and forthcoming! I was pleasantly surprised by the bar that’s open 24/7 - just like the reception. The late check out option is perfect, if you wanna go outside, come back, freshen up comfortably before you leave. Breakfast has enough variety and the kitchen staff is also nice. Location could be a bit better for walking to the city but you’re well connected by tram to get there quickly. All in all a very good and uncomplicated experience!

The staff here are excellent and very helpful. When the washing machine was broken they took my clothes and washed them in the hotels staff machine. The private rooms are immaculate and the only complaint on my part is that the double bed is actually just 2 singles. This isn’t a big problem however, and there’s plenty of storage and a modern bathroom. Something to keep in mind is that if you’re in a 4 bed dorm it is possible that you will be stuck between 2 strangers as I was on the first night. For the price you can’t complain though, just have to pray for good roommates.

This hotel was a breath of fresh air on my 9 day trip around Europe. This hotel had an interesting and aesthetically pleasing room. After all of the bare bones, stark white rooms of the past week, this one's decor was warmly welcomed. The room was unique while still practical and clean. The dinner area was clean as well and the food was very good. I didn't interact much with the staff but when I did they were quite nice. Would definitely stay here on my next trip to Heidelberg.

One of the most affordable hostels out there, that too, near to the central railway station. Best place to stay when on a vacation with friends. Breakfast is also of good quality. Definitely worth it!

I came to Heidelberg from India and stayed at this hotel for about 11 days. The hotel is beautiful and properly maintained. The room size is enough for one person and supplied with all the amenities. The staff speaks in English too because I don't know German. The rooms are bright and windows have blinds in case anyone wants to have a good sleep. There are sofas along with the bed which is an added bonus and you can watch tv as well. There are two big lifts and they'll serve your purpose. Thermostats are available which means you can precisely control the room temperature. Adding on to it, there are two vending machines that can really help you in getting food throughout the day. Really cool hotel and very well cooperative staff. And bonus of all, they are the cheapest ones available for booking right near the Heidelberg Hbf. People should definitely consider it.

George and Abigail were excellent hosts! There were fun games for our large group and check in was very organized. They made us feel welcome and comfortable.

Technically for my experience the bed situation was amazing, but i have to give less stars for anyone who doesn't want to sleep with a stranger. In our room there were "4" beds. 1 double bed (top/bottom) and... A double bed for 2... Technically it was 2 single beds, but the gap between them is so small you're basically snuggling with a stranger. Luckily for me i was traveling with my girlfriend and we got the double, so we cuddled. Perfect! If you're not traveling with someone you'd be happy to be in a bed with, just be aware you may get put in a double bed with someone you don't even know or feel comfortable being that close to. Especially solo female etc. Location was great for getting to/from the train station. About a 30/60 min walk to the river/center/castle so decent enough. There was a guest kitchen and eating area, and they sell breakfast. There isn't a whole lot of communal area and it did feel a bit hotel-y. They did have some board games and stuff to use for free which was nice. I wouldn't be against staying here again as i did feel safe and it's good to go with friends/with partner. But would at least look around to see other options.

Great place and price/quality. Staff is super kind. It has both parking and guest kitchen with everything you need to use. All very clean and nice.

Room was far too small for 4 people and had no lockable space or indeed anywhere to hang clothes. There was barely enough room for our luggage, I wouldn't stay again. Breakfast was good however.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. The showers have good pressure and get very warm. We had a problem with the shower drain, but their staff came up immediately and fixed it quickly. Breakfast costs 9 EUR for buffet. Good WiFi. Nice Mindy's restaurant and grill just nearby

Good hostel, clean with amenities. Wish there were more practical lockers inside the rooms (the small triangle ones are not practical) so you are forced to store your bags in the basement (must bring your own lock) as well as maybe some privacy shades on the beds as the beds are very close together. Hostel is fairly far from the city center (30 minutes walk) but there is a tram that runs very close which takes only 5 minutes to get into the city.

The hotel was quite nice with nice lounge area. It is located near the train station and all buses leave from there to arrive to the center of the city. The beds were comfortable and clean and the blankets very warm. However, the toilet was not cleaned for as long as I was there and we were out of toilet paper and hand tissues.

Because of the crazy hotel price, I was looking for a cheap hostel and chose the Meininger Hotel without much expectation. But when I arrived at the hotel and entered the room, I was surprised. If there is no objection to a room shared by 4 people, MEININGER will be the best alternative for you who are hesitating because of the insanely high hotel prices after Covid 19. However, the weak Wi-Fi signal in some rooms and the attitude of some reception staff needs improvement. 1. wifi : In room 419, the wifi signal strength is weak, so it does not work well. 2. I arrived at 2pm and asked the reception staff if I could check in now. She replied that check-in is possible after 3pm, so wait until then. While waiting in the waiting area next to the reception desk, three people who looked like family came in at around 2:30 and requested check-in. But when I saw that the staff who refused to check-in for me immediately handled the check-in for the family, I was outraged and angry. However, the staff, who started working at 3 o'clock, were very kind and helped with the check-in process, and I was very satisfied.

Wer booked a spontaneous vacation in the beautiful Heidelberg and came across this Hotel. In which we stayed for the weekend. I don’t normally write reviews but this time i really had to! Location: the hotel is located behind the central rail station, which makes things easier for travellers. We used to go to the old city/center by walk (about 15-20 mins) or with scooters (about 5-8 mins). The scooters are distributed all over the city, u just have to download the App and then u can rent one. The ride is also pretty enjoyable :D Hotel and Staff: We simply had a great time! the staff was very nice and quiet cool actually! We felt very welcomed and we were offered help anytime. The staff is a group of young and motivated people, who made a great atmosphere at the hotel. The rooms were nicer than we thought and the hotel was very clean. One can also wash/dry clothes (for people that are continuing to other destinations). A special thanks to Abigail and Nicole, you guys rock! keep up the good work. We had a great time with you guys :)

I am glad that in this hotel you have option - room for woman. Had great experience in this place. While booking process, I got answers for all of my questions. Thank you Minus - shower's door was closing bad, so we had little floods every day. - please make another way of changing towels. I was leaving them on the floor, my neighbors were picking them up, so I was ending up with the same towels.
