My first experience as a Hilton Honors member was no honor at all, in fact it was deplorable. We checked into the Hampton Inn Northlake and immediately smelled a rank odor. We initially wrote it off as possibly just the smell of an older building, disinfected our room, and tried to carry on. The bed linen had minor stains on the blankets, the door to the room wouldn’t open unless you jimmied the handle. We got in late and we woke up with extremely stuffy sinuses and malaise that we couldn’t quite explain. I went to the restroom and that’s when I noticed the room was infested with black mold. The shower ceiling had black mold, the wall behind the decorative ottoman had black mold, and the wooden cabinet that stored the refrigerator also had black mold. There is absolutely no way the hotel staff didn’t know that the room was an unsatisfactory health hazard and the fact that they even booked the room shows a lack of care for the “honorable” customers and financial greed. The manager Bongo, was kind enough to compensate our second night stay but had no available rooms to move us to. We also learned that the room above us also had an issue with black mold after we brought these findings to their attention. We felt uncomfortable returning to stay and booked elsewhere at the last minute. Unfortunately, I can’t upload the video I took of the loose bathroom sink fixtures and the mold on the ceilings.

From now on I will go with my gut. My husband booked this hotel and I feel like I'm in a motel. Room was dirty so I cleaned it.( something that I do anyway) Room is small there is NOT a real closet. It's more like a curtain pulled over a rod. The air isn't working so I had to go get a fan. I didn't change rooms because I will have to re-clean and I used it all cleaning this mess. Front desk both at check in and night shift were very nice. My husband booked through Reservations and brought up my concerns about some reviews and the lady said people lie so they can get a refund. They're NOT lying this place is trash. Even the trash cans aren't clean. NEVER will I stay at a Hampton Inn again. We ended up leaving the next day and found another hotel.

Construction/upgrades going on so be mindful of Construction atmosphere. Check in was great! Room updates are SO nice! No full length mirrors in rooms anymore. Breakfast attendant was 1 of the nicest people! Food was really good as well as the coffee! Would definitely stay here again!

We love the Hampton Inns and this location is one of the best we have been to. What keeps us going back is the delicious breakfast, and this location is absolutely no exception. The breakfast was outstanding! See photos. Fresh waffles, a variety of coffees, delicious orange juice, fresh muffins, home fries, eggs, sausage, the list goes on and on. Something for everyone. A shout out to Teresa who is a wonderful cook and hostess in the dining area. I definitely recommend this location of the Hampton inn, we will be back.

Room was dated but clean.. Coffee machine in room was broken... Pool wasn't cleaned but advertising that it's open all year. Beef was extremely comfy and the building was very quiet... Breakfast was only cold foods..lol I found that most hotels that advertise free breakfast are now using covid as an excuse to serve only cereal and milk..

I always stay at the Hampton Inn and this one was my first. First of all, the young man checking us in had a large afro with a “fight the power” pick sticking out the back. Like the style he was rocking but wrong place and time for it. Next, young folks running up and down the halls. Never experienced that before. The room was stuffy smelling and we found a baby roach near our food on the table when we came back into the room. Stains in the freezer portion of the refrigerator as well. For the price that this hotel chain charges, this is unacceptable. The hotel is in a quiet, private area of Tucker near all the shopping locations. Hopefully, this is not the standard quality of the hotel.

The room wasn't horrible. It just fell short of my expectations for a Hilton chain. Overall, hotel is showing age. Lamp shades and upholstered chair were stained. AC fan was set to high but temp was not cold. Unit had a wall thermostat but wasn't working. Not a bad hotel, just didn't meet expectations.

Horrible experience. Got a room that was dirty - bed wasn’t made, towels on the floor, and clearly not cleaned. Then it took 40 minutes to get a new room, but it wasn’t a suite. At least we had a room. In the middle of the night, we wake up to extreme yelling and screaming and the front desk said it’s a public place so not much can be done. In the morning, our bathroom smelled like weed. The hotel really needs some TLC and better management.

While the rooms were very clean the halls and rest of the hotel felt under kept and the fitness center is a bit of a joke. 6 machines only 1 works, mismatched dumbbells, the water cooler was empty, and there’s barely any room to move in there. On another good note though the front desk team was very very friendly.

Our stay was amazing. Room was spacious and comfortable. First night checking in guy was unprofessional, but still tried his hardest to be nice - he gave us wrong information. Everyone else we encountered; whether front desk, housekeeping or breakfast staff, were extremely professional, friendly and very helpful. We’d definitely stay again.

Hotel is under construction. The first room on the 1st floor was not update. I requested a quiet room but that wasn’t the case. The door doesn’t seal properly when closed, at night it was loud with foot traffic, doors slamming, and hearing people’s conversations down the hall. The bed was also worn out with a body shape indent. The second room on the 4th floor, also had same door issues and the bathroom door was broken. The hallway on the 4th floor smelled from the renovation it causing my asthma to flare up. They definitely did not have proper ventilation for the renovation job. The front desk service was also terrible, before I went to work, I asked for a room changed. The desk clerk checked me out instead of moving me to a different room. She told me that I’ll have a room by 1pm but when called she said I’m already checkout and I have to take my stuff out of the first room. WTH! I had to leave the office during lunch to fix it. She then fixed it and told me I was good to go, but this morning she I don’t check out until Monday. When I clearly have the email reservation, check out on Sunday. She felt confused and had to have somebody else help me. Terrible!

I'll start by warning that one of our rooms has bed bugs. I was with a party of 6. 3 people that shared a room ended up not actually getting any sleep. Those that got sleep had an ok experience. But, the bed bugs are inexcusable. Also, the breakfast bar could use a second waffle iron. The line was constant for waffles.

Super nice staff, solid breakfast, and not expensive at all. Sort of loud with other guests slamming doors at 4am but it comes with hotel territory. Absolutely lovely staff though.

The manager Brian was really nice and helpful with everything that I expected had a problem with the first room because of suspicious stains on headboard Brian gave me no problems accommodating my move to another room. Brian deserves a reward for his great customer service. As far as the hotel it's quite old looking, bathrooms are renovated but room carpet and furniture needs serious updating. Breakfast was hot food sausage, eggs juice not to bad. Overall a good stay just needs to renovate furniture in the rooms and carpet.

As of Dec 2023 the top 2 floors (4-5) are under construction. Stayed on 3rd floor. No construction noise, but room picks up lots of noise from hallway due to sagging, gappy doors. Furniture is laminated particle board & 1 cabinet door was falling off. Frig was clean but surrounding cabinet interior was dirty. Breakfast was ok but adequate. Free Go Bags at front desk in the morning had sweet apple, water, bagel, jelly & PB.

First room, checked in late. Pr-regestered. Layed down at 1 am and a horrible smell of urine hit me. The mattress was stinking!!!! Sheets, well all bedding reeked! I used bedding coverlet from other bed to put under me. Next morning we told desk. They were great. New room on same floor. We went to it and it was dirty. Had nit been cleaned yet. So 2 hours before we got in it. We met cleaning staff and they got right on it. 20 mins after telling them they had new room spotless. The cleaning staff was awesome. I truly hope the guy took out the nasty mattress. Hate money was spent on a stinky mattress in our room. Would I use this hotel again, you bet. One mess up , no problem. The rest of our stay was terrific. Good breakfast, pleasant staff, clean hotel. Elevator was weird lol noisy hahaha.

I don't know if this place was under renovations or what, but all of the room doors looked like latches had just been removed. The room door lock latch was broken, and someone could have easily used something to break into our room. Due to this we reported it and they gave us a new room. In the new room, one of the headboards had what looked like dried blood stains. A roach was crawling on the bathroom floor while my guest was on the toilet. There were holes in the wall behind the ottam where TV wiring was. And the closet was a wall with a curtain over it. The ironing board and iron were in the homemade closet. Customer service was great, but the building itself is outdated and needs renovations.

Woke up at 4 am with my leg itching. 3 bits in a row. Which means bed bugs. Took pictures of them and everything. Room is hot as heck so they are breading them. So not stay at this dirty hotel you will regret it.

Where to start. None of the outlet/USB ports by the bed work. Toilet seat is super loose. The 2 treadmills in the fitness center are broken. AC doesn't blow well. It has an outdated look and feel. Morning breakfast was good and ready early. That's why I gave a 1 star rating.

The room had numerous health and safety issues. The toilet did not flush properly, there was someone else’s hair on the shower wall, the sink was leaking with a puddle on the floor, and the deadbolt did not work, so I could not secure the room. The hotel staff was exceptionally rude. Avoid this hotel at all costs!

Clean room, nice pool, staff was quick to help and give suggestions for fun in the city. The free breakfast was surprisingly complete, and varied every morning. Cookies appear in the lobby in evening. My room was cleaned and ready by midday every day.

The staff at the hotel were very nice. However, the hotel is in need of serious renovations. The door closed but there was a gap where you can see outside. There was a musty smell in the hallway. The sliding bathroom door was coming off of the track. This hotel definitely does not meet up to Hilton’s standard. Couldn’t wait for my stay to be over. Very disappointed.

Worst hotel staff ever! We booked three rooms and the people next to us were loud for two nights straight, screaming and yelling, slamming the doors over and over. I called to the front desk and complained many times each night about the noise and still they continued to not care. The people at the front desk told us that if we were unhappy that we should be the ones to check out. What kind of customer service and hospitality is this? Will never stay here again!

We had 4 great nights. Friendly helpful staff. Then upon arriving home I realized I’d left my sport coat in the room. Trisha and the house keeping executive found my coat and helped me get it back home. Thank you to both of them!! We’ll be back.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. As soon I checked into the room I was killing roaches on the wall and ceiling !! I went to the lobby to borrow febreeze as well due to the weed and FEET smell that was so strong in the room! The staff was nice and that’s the only good thing about this place. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. Rooms are also extremely small , very claustrophobic-like! It was also people hangin out in the parking lot all night and trying to sell whatever to people all night I did not feel safe at all! For $187 per night this was totally unacceptable and so frustrating. I will never consider this place or spend a dime here again.

I have stayed at this location many times over the past 7 years due to work and school. On my most recent stay I noticed that this hotel is in need of a lot of TLC as it is showing wear and tear that I did not notice in previous visits. The carpet is worn and dirty, trash/dust lingers in corners and on base boards, rooms dings and dents seem not to be attended to, etc. This definitely hasn't been my experience over the years I have been coming here or I would have found another location to stay. I am sad to say I felt a bit embarrassed that I recommended this hotel to friends who also stayed the same night as I did. I will also add to a previous comment about room 205; it did indeed smell. I stayed in this room on my last visit (1 week ago) and the room had a very musty, mildew like smell that permeated the room. I haven't written this location off but I will be investigating the new Tru down the street or returning to the Doubletree (also down the street).

I have stayed in enough hotels to know that rooms sometimes aren’t going to be squeaky clean but my room definitely could have used some extra care. Room 205 smelled, the carpet looked/felt dirty and our mini fridge smelled very bad. Not a huge deal, was fine for one night. Also super friendly service at the front desk, breakfast was good and parking lots felt safe.

This hotel exceeded my expectations it was amazing for the price , the room was clean and super comfortable I was impressed with the bathroom and what was included. We also used the pool while there which was nice. Lastly the hotel breakfast was really good the hours were 6-10 and the variety was great.will definitely be staying here again

I only gave it a 2 star rating because the breakfast was good and the staff was welcoming. Other than that it was horrible. The rooms had roaches and we had to get moved 5 times between the two rooms that I got the first time. The rooms that had the most roaches was 335 and 203. The hotel needs to close down for a few weeks and exterminate and get the hotel free of roaches. Those rooms cost too much to be seeing roaches in them. I wanted to leave immediately but knew I wouldn’t get my money back right away so we just had to keep getting our rooms changed until we landed in roach free rooms.

The entire staff from the front desk to the kitchen staff to the cleaning staff were extremely cordial, courteous and friendly. The pool was nice and clean and enjoyable. The breakfast was phenomenal. There were lunch bags to grab on the go as well as cookies and fruit in the afternoon. The neighborhood has many amenities close by. It was an excellent stay. The Hampton Inn provides an extremely reasonable rate for individuals associated with Emory healthcare. As a patient traveling from a distance, I was grateful to return to a clean and comfortable room every evening.

The hotel was very nice and clean. The staff was extremely helpful, especially the young man with the fro that was working night shift. He made my family's stay easier and more comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was amazing! I highly recommend this hotel if you're traveling to Atlanta!!

From check-in to check out, the ladies at the front desk were very polite and nice. The room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom had a sliding door, and I just love the sliding shower glass. I really enjoyed my time time here. I had to book another night.

This place is beautiful! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Stayed in a 2 bed suite was very nice, and clean. The breakfast was also really good hot and fresh! We will be back to stay here!

Overall, this property is fine. Check-in was easy, the room was fine, bathrooms were clean except for a couple of hairs high up on the shower and one on the floor. Sink did drain which is a pet peeve of mine. Air and TV were fine. Breakfast was ok but not great. Staff were busy at work. Generally speaking Hamptons aren't what they used to be but that is not a reflection on this location.

Hampton is always my go to when traveling. However, this time it was a mistake. We arrived late and the guy at the front desk was super helpful and nice. He had to go with us to our room because "no one from maintenance showed up to work" and there was a roll away bed in our room. I guess that should have been our first clue that the room at night been cleaned. It was late when we checked in our we would have left. There was grease or oil along with what I think was jelly on our side table. The head board, walls, and lamps all had dirty spits on them, the hall and rooms smelled like cigarettes. There was paper towels wrapped around the ceiling sprinkler. Breakfast looked decent but I was afraid too eat after seeing the filth throughout the hotel. To top it off as we were leaving there was a huge roach in the front entrance. So disappointing. If you care anything about cleanliness do not stay here.

Hotel is old and in need of updates and repairs. The AC was out in the hallways, making it very difficult for the room AC unit to keep the room cool. There was lint overflowing from the filter, and humidity accumulating in the room - so much so that my clothes got damp. Cut my stay short due to a miscommunication from hotel staff. Ultimately they refunded my final night that I cancelled, but only after a lengthy discussion telling me how it wasn’t the manager’s fault.

My sister and I stayed at this hotel for five days and could not have been happier. We booked for two nights and each morning after the two nights, we extended another day. We can’t say enough about the service we received. I had a problem operating the microwave and the maintenance man came up within five minutes and assisted. Then he later saw my with the ice bucket heading downstairs for ice and inquired… He was at the ice machine within minutes getting it back in order. Housekeeping was AWESOME! The front desk was professional and very friendly. Every morning I joked about adding another day, lol. We truly enjoyed ourselves, the coffee bar after hours and those hot cookies, OMG! Thanks for making our stay welcoming and homey. You didn’t even know we were there to handle a family crisis.
