This place is one of my favorites locations, because of its amazing hiking trails. Many of the trails vary in terms of elevation and length. There's a trail to hike for every level! If you love scenic views including waterfalls, beautiful trees, and cool sites with historic statues and monuments, this place is for you. There's also a scenic overlook. The parking lot is near the playground area and it's stone and paved parking. The park is not far from the city of Scranton either so everything is close to get to. It's also close to the museum. For those with small bladders, don't worry; there are public restrooms.

What a gorgeous place!! What a 💎 of a park! There are so many hidden spaces and gorgeous views. It's well designed and if it had a little more TLC (some of the playgrounds definitely need some love and fixing). The "castle playground" was just exceptional! Definitely needs a few touches and a new layer of wood chips, a few new boards! But what a magical space for the kids! Unfortunately the pool space is under construction 🚧 but I can see it will be amazing for the community! There is a smaller playground that has a sign "closed/do not use the equipment". I really hope the city invests in updating and fixing it!

So so so cool. If your in the area check it out. The tree house was like something out of a magazine. The kids playground could definitely use a major overhaul. One slide is like 2 feet off the ground. Overall a nice park though! We did a little BBQ while there aswell. There were porta potties which were maintained and quite clean

A nice park right within the city of Scranton! The waterfall/gorge area is beautiful, but a lot of people ignore all the signage and go over the fence. It's sad to see so many people ignore safety signs and then have to hear about people dying! We tried calling about it, but the hours of the rangers are pathetic. But a nice place to go for a little walk.

Nice enough park for a short day hike. Most of the trails are well managed and clean. Plenty of places for kids. Cons: outer trails are not maintained and covered with lots of broken glass and large garbage. At least one overlook platform is in very poor, unsafe condition.

Beautiful waterfall and such a short hike to see such beauty!!! There are some stairs, rock steps, and roots that make the journey a mild effort and the rocks were wet during our visit so proper footwear is a must.

This place has everything you could want packed into one easily accessible place. They have hiking trails, playgrounds, a swimming pool, picnic areas, a treehouse, gardens, walking bridges, and so much more. The grounds are very well maintained and there is plenty of parking. In December, they transform the park into a drive thru lights display!

It's an easy stop if you're on a long haul in 81 and need a nature break. We visited on a warm February weekend. The runoff in the gorge was filthy. Couldn't believe how gross the water looked and smelled. Not sure if it was open sewage or the result of so much old time mining in the area. The trails are fine but can be difficult to navigate. Lock your car. There was a roaming hoodied guy loitering in the parking lot that made us kind of nervous.

Nice place to come for a walk. Mostly stroller friendly unless you take the hike all the way down. Pool has been shut down and is now a small wetlands. Only portapotties open for bathrooms that we saw.

A nice place to hike in the city, with some really pretty views. And i like that it is pet friendly. But the park is not well taken care of. The weeds are overgrown, and wooden railings and platforms are rotting away. It could be great if the city would invest some time and money into fixing it back up.

Nice park in Scranton. Was pleasantly surprised by its beauty. The nature trails, waterfalls, and the tree house. Only downside is the sounds of I-81 just on the outskirts of the park.

desolation. At least it’s free, but I don’t think that there’s been any maintenance done on most of the property or the grounds. Be careful you don’t sprain your ankle on some of the potholes some of the swings were broken and even almost as impossible as that would seem, some of the slides were actually broken. automobile traffic is mixed with a pedestrian on the outer loop so be careful people texting and driving coming around corners not a good mix. If you have a better safer park to go to select it not sure if most projects were just built as a budget- then let time ride. but at least free.

Decent size. Lots of parking. Free admission. Dogs are welcome. Lots to see. They do a Christmas light show, not free, during the holiday season. Port a potty’s. Tree house, cafe, statues, memorials, coal mining tribute, water falls, grills. Decent amount of tails, some easier than others but none are difficult.

Beautiful Park in Scranton, the Nay Aug Gorge is beautiful to see, but I think the signs could be better, I used Google maps while I walked around which I found very helpful

Beautiful park. Peaceful and trails weren't crowded. Make sure to wear proper footwear for the winter when there is snow and ice.

Amazing place to visit. I never thought there was such a beautiful waterfall in a local spot. The trails could be maintained a little better. Most of it is washed out going to the bridge over the gorge. You can also access a pretty cool train tunnel.

We loved these hikes. They are well-marked and the difficulty is also described. Some of the trails have been broken up by weather, so there are overlooks that are closed, for instance. I beg of the folks who frequent, though: please pick up your trash. There are trash cans at the trailheads. Or other folks passing through, bring a bag to pick up some trash. It is tragic how it interferes with the look of the place not to mention the harm it can have on our waterways and foodways.

The playground is a sad, unfriendly place where you are reminded of a once happy, bright playing area people would bring their children for an afternoon of glorious play now reduced to nothing more than a place for your child to be seriously hurt. Thank God the hospital is so close. The walking trail is beautiful though and was much more pleasant.

Always finding new adventures here and thrilled to have this location so close to my home, I do feel there should be more trails, if possible.

I love this park. Not too crowded, nice rivers and falls and a spooky/cool train tunnel. Who is Dukeo??

I spent the day in Scranton, starting with Nay Aug Park. Where do I start? The best thing about the park are the signs. Walkways are broken, with plenty of potholes. If you'd like a sprained ankle, this is your place. Walking to the water, garbage cans overflowed. The playground was dirty and unkempt. Swimming pool area? Total joke. There are no swimming pools. Sand Volleyball court, plenty of grass growing. No working toilets. Really? To Mayor Cognetti and the parks department... this could be a beautiful park. Somebody needs to step up ! This park is embarrassing!!

A perfect spring day hike. A nice way to explore the sights and nature in Pennsylvania. The trails were well maintained and easy to navigate. I had a lot of fun and there was much to see

Located about a half mile on route 81 in Scranton this park has a lot of trails and activities to discover including the Paul Kanjorski Bridge, the David Wenzel tree house with a nice view of the mountains and a Gorge with a beautiful waterfall, however the trails are not well maintained there is glass and garbage around the trails and also not well marked so watch your step and take a picture of the map at the beginning of the park for the best reference

Great place to hike and swim! If you visit this area on a hot day, make sure to being swimming gear as there are several areas you can get into the water.

Great park, love the tree house and the bridge. A lot of scenic view. Taking away one star because the children's playground a little under maintained, feels dirty and dated if you come with small children.
