๐Ÿ˜  Not the best view of anything. Maybe a parking lot or two. Overgrown trees, graffiti tags, smells like urine. Definitely not anything you can't see just driving around Scranton. I've seen better scenic views from the Casey Highway. Not really missing anything here unless you're planning to scribble... Not the best view of anything. Maybe a parking lot or two. Overgrown trees, graffiti tags, smells like urine. Definitely not anything you can't see just driving around Scranton. I've seen better scenic views from the Casey Highway. Not really missing anything here unless you're planning to scribble your name on something for memories sake.

Cool place to stop on your way in or out of Scranton, this lookout point allows you to get a good look at the city and the valley it resides in. Thereโ€™s even one of those stationary binocular things for a quarter, although we didnโ€™t use it so I canโ€™t say if it works. Lots of people seem to hang out here, and it seemed to be about an even split between locals and visitors when I was there. I know if I was a local I would come chill here and read or just watch the sunset all the time!

They do a good job trying to keep this area clean. Please keep your trash in the trash cans

Beautiful view. It is not far from Ruby Falls so I recommend doing both. Otherwise just driving to Lookout Mountain, well, there isn't anything to do but take pictures; and that didn't take long. So unless you are in the area, I wouldn't drive a distance just to come here, but that just me. The landmarks are pretty cool, and if you catch the time right, you can find a "solider " walking the grounds who will give some historical information about Lookout Mountain.

Lookout is an awesome spot to park your car and look out over the city of Scranton. Believe it or not it is a beautiful view especially at night

Easy access pull-off perfect to stretch your legs. Autumn provided spectacular showing of color adding to the awe of the view.

It's a great place for a quick photo. There are a few minor issues with overgrown weeds and trash which can be an issue for those taking pictures but still a great place to stop.

I have a friend nearby and see it often. It's usually overcrowded during general peak hours of the day. But a beautiful view for free, nonetheless.

Good view of the city and a cool spot for non locals to see. However during the day would be the best time to stop since at night it becomes a spot for drug addicts and for other things Iโ€™d rather not find out.

A pullout spot with a stone wall, trash cans, and a wonderful view. I stop there often. Others have always been respectful with noise levels and turning off auto-lights at night

We stopped here only because my daughter had to feed the baby. It is dirty very not well kept. There are drug deals that go on here a lot. Not a place to stop. I know the city looks nice at night with the lights on. But go up past Tunkhannock on route 6 West, and stop at one of the two lookouts one's on Mile Hill and the other one is on Wyalusing Hill get a great view of the Susquehanna River valley just beautiful.

Great place to hang out with a great view of the city. I'd say it's more of an adult hangout spot. But I go here all the time to clear my mind of all the problems of life.

Recently visited this historic landmark actually on a drive by while while needing a place to just relax for a bit. Happened to be parked there. Just to gather my thoughts and do some phone conversation with a close family member as well as my fiance. When along came a young man who tapped on my window and asked me randomly to video him surprising his fiance with a wedding proposal overlooking the scenic view.these days I'm really appalled by the lack of social interaction that most days people don't even engage in. However that day. I realized there is people that still know that this is a free and social country. This place Is very versital with the different ethic group of people that pull over to take a look over the mountain and or just take a break. It's really cool that there doesn't seem to be any racial barriers here. So I suggest if your in need of a historic view and a pit stop to chill for a couple of minutes stop and see the view. Just be mindfull and clean up after yourself Good luck to the happy couple. I hope to see yous again some day.

It was nice but sadly people litter even though there are garbage cans. It's a very pretty area and you can see the whole town.
