This place is a hidden gem! The animal displays were all very clean and the animals looked well cared for. The fish tanks were beautiful, loved the coral designs. And the rainforest section was SO cool! Not sure why people are saying $20 for an adult is too much to pay, this place definitely gives you your money's worth. Highly recommend!!

As long as you take your time and walk slow like I read in the comments here before I went. It is well worth it. But they bomb at the end when you HAVE to take the kids through the gifts hop to get out. That's where they empty your wallets. Everything is overpriced in the gifts hop but we still spend a good 200 in there plus the entry fee for the 5 of us.

It’s a very small place in a mall but beautifully curated and arranged. The exhibits are pristine and the animals looked healthy which is important if you want kids to enjoy and learn. Overall a decent experience but expect to be done in a half hour or less.

Such a nice place and staff are super informative. It's not as big as some aquariums but for the price you get to see a lot. I took my children here and they got to pet the stingrays. They had so much fun

Was very pleasantly surprised with the Electric City Aquarium and Reptile Den. I have a good amount of experience with exotic animal care so I tend to be a little critical of little zoos and aquariums but the animals in this facility are very well cared for and look fantastic all around. All of the habitats and enclosures are clean, well kept, and appropriate for the house species. The signage on most enclosures are very helpful and concise. They have a small live presentation with a knowledgeable keeper who was fun to listen to and engaging. They also have a couple touch tanks in the aquarium section which we did not get to encounter, but the facilities looked well cared for, and there was a place to wash your hands before and after the touch tank which is a great sign. The visit seemed a little on the expensive side, around $20 to get in, but once I saw the facility I was happy with the value that it provided as the animals and the facility look very well cared for. You can expect to spend between 45 minutes to an hour if you take a quick look at everything, and perhaps up to 2 hours if you are moving slowly and do both the live presentation and the touch tank. Some of the labeling on the aquarium side is either missing or needs updating with the species being housed. But that is my only observation of things that could be improved. Everything else looks good. All in all I am very impressed with the facility, especially because it wouldn't seem like a aquarium in a mall would be a cool thing but it definitely is worth a visit if you are in the area.

Well worth the visit. The kiddos can enjoy panning for gems or shells in the sluice out front before heading into the exhibit itself. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the place as well as the number and variety of the animals. The facility was clean and well maintained. Well definitely be back!

Bought tickets online we were able to save about $5 off each ticket. This aquarium is in a mall, which my family thought was unique. It's much larger inside than you would think. There is a large variety of animals, and all looked happy and well cared for. We would definitely return. If you park in the parking garage, they validate your ticket, so make sure you bring it with you!!! Highly recommend!!!!!

Very cool!! The animals are beautiful and everything is so clean and well taken care of in this location. It is a small aquarium but you won't be disappointed by how great everything is put together and you can tell how happy the animals are. They have starfish touch exhibits and petting for small rays and horseshoe crabs. I recommend supporting them and take the time for a visit!

We really loved it! I have seen all kind of zoos all over the world, but this one was so lovely! All the animals looked so great and happy. I really walked there for hours. Everyone was so sweet!

Really neat place especially since it's inside of a mall. There were a variety of different reptiles and animals throughout. Was a little disappointed that they switched shark feeding for catfish feeding. Otherwise, tickets are reasonable and a nice place to check out in Scranton

Not bad for the price. Seeing all the fish & reptiles was really cool. Unfortunately their rainforest part was kinda disappointing because it was really only a few animals you can see. But definitely recommend it if your taken a really young kid. Took my almost 2yr old & he loved it!

Cute decent sized aquarium for Scranton! Kids love it, especially the interactive parts. Petting the horseshoe crabs and stingrays makes the trip worthwhile! A couple of hours and you are through the whole thing, but it's great to have such a sweet, educational place to take families to in our area.

I loved the experience definitely it's an amazing find, very unexpected to be so full of animal life, and activities since its inside a "mall"/shopping area. Prices where great, employees where nice and friendly. Definitely something to look forward to.

This is inside of a mall! I didn't know that, I'm from Lancaster and we love to travel to see different things. So just know that. The place is very well done, I was impressed. Lots to look at the touch tanks were a favorite with the kiddos. We spent about 2hours there with the kids, so I'd say it was a success.

Visited the Electric City Aquarium our 2nd visit in a year. Loved the new exhibits. The young women who conducted the show today was delightful, as was the young Lady who was giving the animals treats. She was so informative and eager to share the names of the animals. The touch tanks were not open today (Bummer). Next time.

We didn't have great expectations for this but I have to say my wife and me really enjoyed our time at the aquarium! Not an all day experience, we were able to get through it in about 2 hours and we were taking our time. I'd say the first half is better than the second though. It was fun playing eye spy and trying to find all the frogs, lizards, snakes, etc. and they even have a sloth! The actual aquarium part itself is pretty standard type of stuff. Lots of tanks with the same kind of fish swimming around. We went in the middle of the week so crowd was pretty light. My Wheelchair Wife was able to get around without problems, she didn't miss out on anything due to being in a chair which can be a surprisingly hard thing to come by. If you're in the area check it out!

This place is incredible! The exterior is a little unassuming, but the inside is great! They really did a fantastic job with the layout, the decorations, and the information. There's a great variety of animals there, not just fish. A walk through takes about 45 minutes. The prices are reasonable (if you don't get carried away at the gift shop). The atmosphere is top-notch.

We definitely saw some cool animals good for a rainy day. Too expensive of you ask me but kids did have fun finding all the creatures :)

Loved our afternoon visit to this aquarium! Small enough to walk at our leisure with lots of beautiful displays. And a lovely gift shop with the dearest man to help us check out.

This was a last minute trip but worth every penny. They have such a great selection of sea life, reptiles & mammals. Staff was friendly & knowledgeable. I especially enjoyed the education class with the touch & feel segment as they showcased the different species. The entire family had a blast! We would definitely return if we were in the area. Added bonus was the clean bathrooms!

It's not the largest of aquariums, but it has a pretty expansive amount of fish and reptiles for their size! The Electric City Aquarium is a great experience for Scranton and the surrounding NEPA area.

A fun and unique aquarium with some exhibits not seen other places. Kept very clean, allowing for some very up-close interactions. We typically spend 60-90 minutes to see it all.

It was an amazing experience. Scranton as a whole was underwhelming but this place saved the trip. We easily spent over an hour here looking at everything. The animals they had were amazing and seemed well cared for. There’s 3 sections you can go through and then a cute gift shop at the end. I only rate it a 4/5 because we paid to feed stingrays and one BIT me on the hand. Wouldn’t recommend that part…

Went here with my famuly ( seven of us ) aging from 7 - 83 and had a great time. Comfortable, clean and a lot of exhibits to see. The educational show was informative. Had a good time.

My family visited this aquarium for a day and had a great time. It's not huge, but for being inside a mall, it's a decent size. The mall was eerily empty, which I enjoyed. It's not an all day trip to visit either. So I will give this place 4 out of 5.

This was a great little aquarium to take the family. There are plenty of cool animals to see and even a little show to get up close to some of them.

It's a neat experience to see aquatic and reptilian animals you might not easily be able to see elsewhere nearby. An interesting walk-through with lots of different animals. I had Some minor concerns about enclosure sizes for some of the reptiles. Also just be aware, while they do say they donate to animal conservation efforts, this is NOT a non-profit, and its associated with a for-profit owned animal park that houses animals from someone's private collection. In the future, I'd much rather direct my admission $$ toward nonprofit zoos and aquariums with accreditations, whose animals are rehabilitated/unreleaseable or captive bred specifically for conservation/ Species Survival Plan efforts, rather than animals purchased for the sole purpose of display. There's nothing wrong with this place in particular, I just feel passionately about being a patron of nonprofit institutions who need the money more and have a bigger impact.

OMG first would like to say how amazing this place is in a dying mall and staff was super friendly, fun and very informative on our tour(fun fact horseshoe crabs have 10 eyes and they also don't have mandibles or teeth) I left learning so much more than I actually already knew about aquatic animals.Seriously give your staff a raise!!!!

I really enjoyed being up close to the beautiful fish and the tanks were so clean, but I was disappointed that we drove 1.5 hours and the rainforest and reptile den were not open, but their website and even signage at the facility stated they were open.
