Very popular department store that, even with busy hours, the staff gives you as much of their personalized attention as you need as if you've been friends with them a long time. In an age where sales are becoming more online, it's nice to have a place that has a great staff, great selection at better than competitive prices(some items unheard of low pricing) ,super clean environment. A place you can interact and see items in front of you or clothes you can try on before buying, unlike online. Mind you they do have a website but if in the area, do yourself a favor and check them out. Clothes, furniture, electronics and more. Here's hoping their around many more years.

I went in for a quick browse and wound up in there for over an hour, and spending over 150 dollars. They really surprised me with the deals on clothes. T shirts for 3.99, flannels for 7.99, sherpa-lined fall jackets for 15.99. Plus, they have clothes for all age groups, candy and chocolates, various appliances, etc. It reminded me of the department stores I went to as a child, in the 1990s. Definitely worth a visit.

They have everything from Keurigs to sound systems; luggage to mattresses; evening wear to upscale cosmetics; outdoor furniture to drapery; but best of all-fresh fudge made on-premises! Their credit card lets you build worthwhile points and the customer service is very helpful. With bonus sales and multiple locations, the shopping experience is rewarding!

Great old style department store. Big selections in many areas with reasonable prices. Easy parking/access with elevators and escalators. Worth a visit...

No store could beat their prices when they have clearance.the quality of the clothes is excellent.I really buy all my clothes here on sale or not!!

Clerk was so helpful and really assisted me in finding a winter coat. I'm hard to fit and she took extra care helping me.

Great selection of mens clothing and very helpful staff. Internet is great but its always better to try stuff on to get the right fit. Get your parking tix validated if u buy something.

Went to find strapless comfy bra. I think I got 3 for $14.99 on sale. They were Skinny Girl bras. Great fit as well. I did get the last set. But many items on sale.

The atmosphere everytime i am shopping there. Eveb just strolling through is a pleasant experience. Nice Employees always willing to help, see how you are. Last but not least you can't leave out how fair the prices are!

Mens suits section, I walked around for about 15 minutes looking for someone. Finally a sales associate walked out, I asked her for help, I showed her a picture on my phone of the suit I was looking for. She answered very quickly "we don't have that" and walked away. I asked if they had anything similar and she said no. They did she just couldn't be bothered. It's a suit, not a unicorn, she could have tried, but I spent $1,850 at JC Penny the next day,happily.

I needed some cloths for a wedding this week and was on a time crunch and didn’t know exactly what to get or how to fit an old it fit for the occasion. So an employee gave me some assistance for almost an hour helping me pick and choose what looks right and what doesn’t. She did a fantastic job and got me the outfits I needed. She always made sure to give her full honest opinion. Her name is marry. And people like her are the reason I return to boscovs time after time. The customer service is unbeatable. Again thank you marry, you are the #1 Boscovs employee for me! ~Sincerely the 89$ tie guy.

Got a cute dress on sale for $20, they are having really good sales. My first time, I will definitely be returning.

Can always find some great deals at Boscovs! They have something for everyone, & any occasion! Associate in jewelry was extremely nice & helpful. Cosmetics were little less. Misses associates were also extremely friendly & helpful. I don't get to Scranton store that often, & the assistance in navigating departments was appreciated. Shop Wilkes-Barre store most of time, & everyone is friendly & helpful.

I absolutely love the store, however the only 2 times I've ordered online I've had my order canceled due to items being out of stock, so they say, I drive to the store both times and purchased the exact items that were "out of stock "! If your that lazy seriously you shouldn't have online sales just saying

Went for a shirt and tie, Extremely helpful. But, I did see another woman not get the same type of treatment.... nice begets nice. In other words, treat people the way you want to be treated.

It is a good place to shop if your local or in town but most people are entertained by what the mall itself has in it and I believe the disparate sadness of the mall interaction with the business of Boscov's. There is a wide world of businesses out there, and whoever owns the mall is either lazy or no longer interested in this business and trying to get rid of it. It's is bad enough that the government ruined this because in the 90s, there were many people in town supporting these businesses, and today, it is a true waste of local taxpayers' money.

Boscov's in Scranton is a beautiful store with great prices. Quality merchandise sold here with a very helpful friendly staff. I recommend them highly.

Still a local favorite.I still like having a place to physically shop. Brought up old school I want to examine the clothing for quality of fabric, closeness of stitches, secureness of buttons and hems. Then there is trying things on ...because like the old timers state, " sometimes what's ugly onthe hanger is the loveliest on the body".That's been true more than once. Colors are different in person. Also unlike several of my coworkers who shop only on line ..I don't have a closet full of too lazy to returns... and then there's the therapy of just being out shopping.This place has ample parking and you have to take a ticket going in but anyone at a register will scan it for you so you can get out free. I was told this is because everyone who works in town was parking there and taking up the spots for the shoppers. They are always great sales and if you are on the mailing list because you have a credit card ...there are bonus points and coupons that arrive via mail.

It's nice that Downtown Scranton still has a traditional department store selling fine items at affordable prices. Although I'm a recent newcomer to Scranton, going to Boscov's on Lackawanna Ave makes me feel how the city must have been back when the Globe Store and Scranton Dry Goods were the premier emporiums downtown. The Christmas decorations outside, and ladies with kerchiefs and stylish coats holding packages while waiting for busses to take their suburban homes. Boscov's on Lackawanna preserves a bit of this past in a contemporary fashion.

The only anchor store left in what was The Mall At Steamtown. So many great stores have come and gone over the last 25+ years but Boscovs has stayed and still offers great deals and low prices on clothing, home goods, seasonal items, jewelry and furniture

It was okay, I could tell the girl was annoyed to check us out, she stated she could but she was late for her lunch. I told her the sign on the shower curtain was 9.99 and it rang up at 12.99, her answere was: well you'll have to show me. So I did. Meh,, not a fan, no explanation or apology was offered. My purchase wasn't valued but it was only a showe curtain.
