First
the
pros:
This
hotel
has
an
amazing
location.
Right
on
the
boardwalk
toward
the
north
end
so
a
bit
less
activity
on
the
boards.
There
is
a
nice
size
deck
on
the
third
floor
level
overlooking
the
boardwalk
and
ocean
front.
Our
plans
changed
and
the
hotel
allowed
us
to
cancel
our
last
night
with
very
little
notice.
They
also
permitted
us
to
stay
with
our
dog,
which
was
a
big
plus
for
us.
Now
the
cons:
The
rooms
are
basic
and
clean
enough
(think
motel
8),
however,
it
is
difficult
to
see
them
as
clean
because
the
entire
place
is
so
incredibly
run
down.
The
room
had
a
dorm
fridge
and
microwave.
The
microwave
had
dials
and
looked
like
it
was
a
bargain
buy
from
1995.
When
we
arrived
we
were
given
a
key
to
the
room.
An
actual
key
as
if
we
were
at
The
Stanley
Hotel
(The
Shining).
When
we
opened
the
door
the
striker
plate
for
the
latch
fell
off.
The
room
had
no
hooks.
Not
one,
and
there
is
no
closet.
Only
a
single
bureau
with
drawers.
The
dresser
has
veneer
peeling
off
the
top
and
front.
The
toilet
paper
holder
was
broken
and
the
pieces
were
in
the
vanity.
There
was
an
obvious
ceiling
leak
which
had
been
fixed
but
the
work,
again,
shottty.
There
is
no
elevator
which
didn't
bother
us
but
the
stairs
are
made
of
wood
and
all
have
give
or
wobbliness
while
walking
on
them.
The
stair
rails
are
all
freshly
painted
but
the
paint
doesn't
hide
the
cracks
and
instability
of
the
rails.
I
would
not
recommend
leaning
on
them.
You
can
see
the
"hack"
fixes
with
L
brackets
and
tape.
Im
really
not
sure
how
they
passed
any
inspections.
We
stayed
during
the
off
season
so
parking
wasn't
an
issue
for
us
but
the
lot
is
extremely
small.
I
don't
know
how
they
would
fit
more
than
5
cars
in
there
and
have
enough
room
to
manuver.
This
place
has
such
amazing
potential.
It
is
a
shame
that
absolutely
no
effort
is
being
put
into
updating
and
maintaining
the
building.
As
mentioned
we
stayed
during
the
off
season
so
I
would
expect
to
see
some
work
happening
on
the
rooms,
stairwells
or
building
facade,
but
that
was
not
the
case.
It
seems
that
the
owners
are
happy
with
status
quo.
I
recommend
NOT
staying
here
so
that
the
owners
realize
the
impact
of
a
run
down,
neglected
and
potentially
dangerous
building.
