Closing hours are misleading! While the Visitor Center is closed and the road into the Arboretum, you can park outside the perimeter and still take a long stroll after 5pm! Glad I didn't pay attention to these hour postings, and still came to enjoy a very nice, socially distant walk around! I even got to see an owl!

So much plant diversity from around the world! This is a great place for a pleasant stroll, jog, or bike ride; although walking works best, as it let's you explore more by meandering through the many side paths. Even on a beautiful Sunday morning there was plenty of free parking. On the way in there is a building with information, water, and bathrooms.

Haven’t seen you for two years, ginkgo in Seattle! Where is the best place to feel your thousands years charming? ginkgo village, tengchong, Yunnan? or west lake surroundings, Hangzhou? Or, everywhere, from mountains to cities, from temples to farms.......one time face to face her golden, just one glimpse= eternity

Used to love this place but this year we went and found massive amounts of dead trees overgrown with horrible moss or something. Even down the main walk way that used to have a lot of beautiful cherry trees. Many of the trees are damaged and dying. Not sure if anyone was pruning them.

Very nice park for jogging. Dogs are allowed. Sufficient benches to rest. Couple ponds make the stroll worthwhile. Looks super in autumn.

The perfect location to hold a memorial event surrounded by the winding paths and gorgeous foliage in fall splendor. The conference room and staff were terrific with so many treasures to take home from the gift shop. I will come back again to spend time beneath the tree that is dedicated to my sisters' love and appreciation for God's creation!

Such a pretty place to visit. We enjoyed this time of the year as the leaves were changing and the colors of Autumn are showing. It's a beautiful place to walk around any time of the year.

Beautiful Arboretum for a Nature explorer. Huge collection of trees. We loved to see the winter hollies loaded with red berries. We hiked in winter, I can imagine how beautiful this will look in Spring.

Spring in Seattle is my favorite season.  The Arboretum is a great place to stroll, look at nature.  It is very quiet and there are always something to see. I was lucky this year to pop in the Arboretum during Rhododendron season.  It was exquisite.

Wonderful forested park with plentiful trails, both a paved one that circumnavigates the entire park and several gravel trails that criss cross the area. Don’t miss the totem pole just up the trail from the visitor center. Plenty of parking around, as well as ebikes waiting to be used.

My favorite place to go running. Many excellent running trails for both walkers and runners. The plants are lush and there is something blooming all year round. The smells as you walk though the Arboretum pleasures the senses. This is a must see if your from out of town, even if it is raining. Just do like Northwesterners do put on a raincoat and go. Cheers!

(Translated by Google) . Arboretum (Washington Park Arboretum), Seattle Arboretum Park can be reached by 4 buses, from the center on foot for about 40-50 minutes. The park is huge, similar to our botanical, but fifty times more, and walking on the grass is allowed. In general, the staff is almost invisible. There are territories of Australian nature, the rhododendron alley. Huge, very tall spruce. Many tablets on trees and shrubs. Throughout the park, there are many paths and paths laid parallel to each other at different levels - from the highest to almost the bottom of a natural ravine. Many benches and all sorts of surprises in different places: pavilions, alpine slides. On the one hand, it is seen that they are caring, and on the other, they allow plants not only to live, but also to die peacefully: fallen branches and even trunks are left in place, they lie quietly, covered with moss and gradually rotting away. In the Japanese sector, a small pond. One of the paths led to the bay with thickets of large white water lilies, between which a water alley was made, along which kayaks float. Many birds, there are very similar to hoopoe, with a crest on the head. Squirrels run across the lawns. If you have time, then you can spend the whole day in the park exploring paths and paths. There is a small shop in the park with books and booklets about the nature of this place - separately about birds, fish, plants, animals. There are many places in the park where you can relax in company, in one place on a large lawn, schoolchildren were relaxing, it seems that they brought one or two classes. In another place, by a small lake, there was a corporate party of some company. Probably in the spring it is very beautiful here when everything blooms. (Original) .

We walked around for about three hours enjoying the waterfront, the play courts, and the trails in between. We also visited the Japanese garden. It was a ton of fun. The Japenese garden was a bit smaller than we expected for the admission price but we didn't mind because it was a nice peaceful experience to sit down, rest and talk. This was my first time going and I loved it!

Loved this place! Beautiful surroundings and lots of great hiking trails. Make sure you bring water and snacks if you’re walking the entire park. Also bring raincoat as the Seattle weather is unpredictable
