Best place to view sunset from a top of the hill. One can see the Straits of Malacca and if one is lucky, one can see the sun is setting down 'into' the sea. They sell durian too. The down part is do empty your bowel before coming here as on our visit, the toilets are closed.

Nice place. But during my visit it was raining so the beautiful scene cannot be seen from the hilltop. The local council should improvise the cleanliness and convenience of this area.

Unfortunately this place is now closed permanently. A new restaurant on the top of the hill at Anjung Indah called HillTop. A Thai Restaurant, same building as before just different cuisine. The food was OK. The 2 chilli symbols really mean HOT and SPICY. The soup portions were large (even though ordered the standard) The green curry chicken was good as so was the squid with lime and chilli (a bit sloppy). The only disappointment was the lemongrass chicken that was overcooked.

During durian season, this parking lot turns into a nice durian market where you can buy and sample different types of durian at all price points. The temperature is significantly cooler up here and eating durians here is very enjoyable. There are no less than 6-8 durian stalls here. One particular stall even offers all-you-can-eat durian buffet!

Nice for the sunset, didn't get here in time for the food. Some stray dogs lurking about but they caused no issue.

Can view the sea from up the higher land. The ABC is very sweet but the koay teow is a different style from the usual Penang fried koay yeow

This corner offers great view for those who loves photography and sightseeing. The view are so calming and tantalizing. There are foods and drinks from a few shops here. Whether you are with your family or friends, this is a good place to hang out. From time to time you can see cyclists hanging around this corner. The parking is limited but good enough for people who come here to hang around unless it's durian season. The whole place will be overcrowded. Overall, it's wonderful experience.

Nice place to stop by when driving across the island. Not busy on weekday.

Good place to cycle to. Challenging unless you are a seasoned cyclist. Nothing much to do here due to Covid-19. Shops are closed.

Tropical fruit farms. Nothing inside. Only a few fruits, not fresh, and full of flies, worse than the roadside fruit stall. Coffee also doesn't look delicious. Not recommended

Nice view to enjoy food (seafood goreng tepung Ganu style), at first we want to enjoy durian, but when one of the seller offer us only the expensive one that we have never heard (katanya durian ganja sebiji RM140).. no thanks..we went to Durian Kaki instead

Balik Pulau is a town within the jurisdiction of Penang Island City Council in the Malaysian state of Penang. Located at the southwest of Penang Island, it is also the administrative seat of the Southwest Penang Island District.

Loving the view forever since. Stop there to take shelter due to raining while I was riding, once the rain stops the view is much more astonishing.
