I
recently
had
an
extremely
disappointing
experience
with
a
barber
named
Damian
at
The
Grooming
Cove.
Not
only
was
the
quality
of
the
haircut
subpar,
but
Damian's
unprofessional
behavior
and
sense
of
entitlement
were
completely
unacceptable.
I
feel
compelled
to
share
my
experience
to
warn
others
about
the
disrespectful
treatment
I
received.
Firstly,
it
is
important
to
note
that
Damian
had
no
right
to
gather
my
personal
information,
specifically
my
phone
number,
and
use
it
to
intimidate
me
about
tipping.
In
a
text
message
exchange
after
my
visit,
Damian
expressed
his
displeasure
over
not
receiving
a
tip
and
demanded
that
I
book
my
future
haircuts
elsewhere
if
I
wasn't
willing
to
tip
him.
This
act
of
coercion
was
both
unprofessional
and
disrespectful.
During
my
haircut,
Damian's
entitled
attitude
was
apparent
when
he
asked
me,
not
once
but
twice,
if
I
intended
to
add
a
tip
to
the
payment.
Despite
already
providing
a
clear
response
that
I
had
no
intention
of
tipping,
he
persisted
in
questioning
my
decision.
This
type
of
behavior
is
unacceptable.
The
owner
stated
in
a
response
to
a
previous
review,
"Our
barbers
are
not
able
to
see
the
tips
received
until
the
end
of
the
pay
week."
yet
Damian
was
able
to
see
if
I
had
added
a
tip
or
not
the
second
I
was
done.
Furthermore,
Damian's
work
was
far
from
impressive.
The
haircut
I
received
was
subpar,
lacking
the
attention
to
detail
and
precision
that
one
would
expect
from
a
professional
barber.
Specifically,
he
messed
up
the
lineup
on
both
sides
of
my
head.
The
sides
didn't
match
up
(as
well
as
pushed
back
from
where
it
is
naturally),
even
leaving
me
with
a
mini
bald
spot
on
one
side.
Yet
I
didn't
even
complain
or
mention
this
to
him
and
still
paid
the
full
price
because
I
understand
people
can
make
mistakes.
But,
if
you
demand
a
tip
for
this
subpar
work,
I
will
not
tolerate
that.
It
is
important
for
barbers
to
understand
that
tipping
is
earned
through
performing
more
than
the
service
you
paid
for,
not
simply
by
demanding
it.
Damian
failed
to
go
above
and
beyond
the
basic
standard
I
had
paid
for,
making
any
additional
gratuity
unwarranted.
I
find
it
deeply
concerning
that
Damian
has
been
in
the
industry
for
15+
years
and
yet
displayed
such
a
lack
of
professionalism
and
respect
toward
a
customer
giving
him
business
that
he
otherwise
wouldn't
have
had.
It
is
crucial
for
the
owner
to
address
these
issues
and
ensure
that
other
clients
do
not
have
to
endure
the
same
unpleasant
experience.
I
strongly
advise
potential
customers
to
think
twice
before
visiting
The
Grooming
Cove,
as
my
encounter
with
Damian
reflects
poorly
on
the
establishment
as
a
whole.
No
one
should
have
to
endure
intimidation,
disrespect,
and
subpar
service
when
seeking
a
simple
haircut.
It
is
essential
for
barbers
to
uphold
professionalism,
respect
customer
boundaries,
and
understand
that
tipping
is
earned
through
performing
more
than
the
service
you
paid
for,
not
demanded
through
coercion.
In
conclusion,
I
cannot
recommend
The
Grooming
Cove
due
to
the
unprofessional
behavior
of
Damian
and
the
lackluster
quality
of
the
haircut
I
received.
I
hope
the
management
takes
appropriate
action
to
rectify
this
situation
and
improve
the
overall
customer
experience
at
their
establishment.
