This venue is far from the Star Alliance standards, maybe except one thing: rooms are spacious and there are plenty of chairs. Unfriendly reception service, bored bar tenders (very few customers on 1st Jan). Food selection is a joke: some super dry pastries and sandwiches of suspicious quality. Worst coffee I have ever had. No idea about drinks selection yet I would not expect anything much better than food. What a disappointment.

December 2021: This is the whole menu on my pics. No joke. Just crackers and cookies. Nothing else. Softdrinks not in cans or similar, diet coke tastes like sewage. One of the worst 3 lounges I've ever seen, and I've seen quite some lounges in China. For sure the worst star alliance lounge worldwide. Don't go here, the other priority pass lounges are better with hot food and cans.

As far as global standards this lounge is far from the best. Lack of food and fruit. Just packaged unhealthy snacks. At one time they had bagels fresh fruit like apples and bananas but none for the last few trips here. It does have a nice coffee machine, filtered water and a bar. The lounge is kept clean has Wi-Fi comfortable chairs, clean bathroom and showers. For being the lounge at the Copa hub I rate it so so at best due to lack of quality food. Copa is an outstanding airline they can do much better with their lounge in my opinion. Back again in 2023 and it's still the same poor selection of food for a star alliance lounge. The new lounge in Terminal 2 is new but same food.

This is a pretty miserable lounge and especially when you consider it's Copa's main airport. They're clearly not trying at all with the food and drinks. The seats are filthy, but there are plenty of them which is a plus I guess. Counter staff were also friendly. You're honestly better paying for a meal at the airport and skipping this lounge all together.

The atmosphere was pretty amazing and very spacious with a nice view of the terminal. However, food and beverage options are absolutely awful. Given that descent food options are the most important thing in a lounge I can’t give it a high review.

The seats are comfortable. There are plenty of electrical outlets and the WiFi is strong. That's the end of the good news. It's crowded, noisy and the food offerings are laughable. No hot food, no fruit or anything healthy. Just cookies and fat and/or salty snacks.

My wife and I had a layover (~7 hours) at the airport so we decided to pay for the day pass (It was around $50 USD per person). Due to COVID restrictions the selection of snacks and drinks was limited but more than enough. They didn't provide any real meals, but they let you know as soon as you enter that this is the case. The good thing about the day pass is you can go in and out of the lounge as you please, so we went out got something to eat somewhere else in the airport and then we came back (you are not allowed to bring food from outside). The Wifi was great. You can scroll through Instagram, Twitter, watch YouTube and Tiktok videos without any issues. Every seat has charging ports, both standard and USB plugs. Even with the reduced capacity the lounge seems to be able to hold a reasonable amount of people. The chairs were very comfortable and overall we had a pleasant experience.

This is not a lounge, they should be sued for false advertising. It would be flattering to call it a poorly stocked cafeteria. Fruit and packet crackers and cheese as shown by photos. What a joke!

Catering was extremely disappointing. Nothing local. Only small buns with so little spread on them that I couldn't even tell what was on them. Service was slow. Spills and mess were not cleaned up in a timely manner. Worse, service people would just step around the mess. Outside food was forbidden. The club itself was ok. Lots of space and different types of seating. Lockers and showers are also available. Good views of the terminal from the lounge which is on the 2nd level.

Disgusting, no other word for this Lounge. No showers then in their 2 nd one no towels. Food looked bad. Full of slobs that get in with priority pass.noisy kids, what a terrible atmosphere. Truly 4th world standard. Worst lounge on the whole continent. Almost as bad as Copa Business class cabins

The Copa Club Business Lounge at the Tocumen International Airport in Panama City is a confortable place that the Copa Airlines Company offer for its passengens in transit, but only for those that have specific credit cards of Visa or Mastercard, paying variable taxes. Inside, the visitors have a lot of places with chairs and wifi connection, some snacks and beverages as soft drinks, beer, wine, water, scotch etc. But for me, the main reason to use this space is the opportunity to take a relaxing, warm and delicious shower, including towels, shampoo and liquid soap in a clean and private bathroom, while we're waiting for our flight. I recommend it.

Nice and spacious with plenty of seating and personal power ports. Food was simple fayre but plenty of it (they regularly topped up during the 3 hours I was there). No hot food though. Beer, wine, soft drinks and range of coffees were also on tap. Staff kept the place clean and were friendly both at the food/drink area and for check-in. Toilets were clean. I used my priority pass card to get in here and I found this lounge helped pass my 3 hours without any issue. Not the Ritz to be sure, but would use again.

Probably the top 5 worst lounge I visited. I understand that service are limited due to Covid restrictions. BUT they don't even offer can drinks! Furthermore it is way too over crowded and some of the charging points are not ever working.

Visited on a Monday, good options were cut up sandwiches of cream cheese with chives and pimento cheese, turkey sandwiches, coffee and tea and the bar. It was bit crowded but it wasn’t loud. I liked it had a view of the runway.

Good armchairs, internet, restrooms, AC, coffee machine by Nestle. It's a safe space. Showers closed. Hyper clean lounge by the friendly staff. Even though, I missed the sandwiches, appetizers and warm/comfy food. Maybe because the pandemic they are serving packed snacks. It's totally comprehensive. Otherwise, could be bigger in order to accommodate more people with comfort.

This has got to be the saddest excuse for a lounge in all the western world. I thought you couldn't get anymore pathetic than the service you get on Copa Airline flight. I was wrong. This lounge is an absolute disgrace. If you want to pay for bags of chips and bagged junk food, you have come to the right place. The folks in charge of this lounge should all be fire. This is the worst lounge I have ever been to in my entire life.

I don’t think there’s anything I like about Copa Airlines, including this Lounge. It seems a little dingy and in need of some TLC. The offerings are basic: everything was packaged. There is not much seating and it was crowded. I wouldn’t come back here and I recommend you skip it too.

(Translated by Google) Good place to wait for the flight to leave. Quite a little food and drink for what they charge, but it is an acceptable alternative when you have long wait between flight and flight. Excellent oasis when at PTY. Spacious and clean with WiFi and charging stations. Only snacks and beverages available, but they are quality snacks and beverages. With Covid distancing restriction enforcement in main departures lobby finding this comfortable area was a godsend.

COPA Airlines should be ashamed of themselves. This is COPA Airline home airport/hub and still they do not put in any effort to make sure that the customer enjoy a positive experience. Instead, they just offer bagels, carrots and Riba Smith cookies. The lounge is always overcrowded and the bartenders grumpy - but again thats normal business in Panama where good Customer Service is non-existent.

Shame on copa for making this beautiful place so awful with their food. Come on!! You can make it so simple and add more points. Put a soup A salad And a pasta You will probably spend the same amount of money as making those awful sandwiches.

Wow I thought US lounges are the worst in the world. This lounge sets even lower standard. Is this how COPA treats its business class passengers?!?!? No wonder you look like United — you are in a race to the bottom with that shameless budget airline. Absolutely nothing to eat. You expect business class passengers to nimble on some cheap biscuits with tap water???? It shocks me to see a filter water system as a center piece of this lounge just like the ones outside some toilets in the US… Even sparkling water (also from the tap) needs to be ordered. How do you justify your price? BTW it’s somewhat difficult to find with its own small entrance near 130-1. Typically one hides gems but this is: Pura Basura I won’t walk ever for this lounge. Save your steps. I think this has got to be one of the worst among hundreds of lounges that I’ve visited.

The lounge is OK busy as usual. They should put more effort in food area. Very few options with no flavours. Although they have only two showers, expect waiting list, helps a lot. Also, they should have more and bigger TV showing departure times. Be aware that 'Lounge Key' members are only accepted at noon. Wifi is reliable and has good range.

My go to place in Tocumen airport in Panama. Bar man Ivan has been there 16 years and he is the best. Yes it’s crowded and food is not the best compared with other lounges I’ve been but there is a light ant the end of the tunnel when the new terimal opens

This is not the type of lounge you might expect for a star alliance airline. But it's all relative. It is very difficult to social distance in the airport proper. This lounge offers quite a bit of opportunity to be safe from direct contact with others. The food and drink are quite meager. The showers are not operational. But I'm still glad I was able to spend several hours here between flights.

No food just snacks. The place is very crowded so it wasn't relaxing, however the drinks options are good they give you complementary alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. We had a long connection and we went out to eat because of the lack of food options, the people is nice, very very polite. I saw many people waiting for their long haul flights

Poor Customer service at the desk. I don't know her name but when I asked her for a Supervisor, she told me "I am". very short and not helpful at all, didn't even mention her name. This just happened 10 minutes ago, 2:50pm, December 5, 2023. Service and comfortable environment makes it worth the entrance fee. Food and drink needs work. Only food we’re bready sandwiches or humus with chocolate chip cookies or shortbread for dessert. Very disappointing for a business lounge in an International airport. The food was average and the lounge was pretty crowded.

  • 3/5 Drew B. 1 year ago on Google
Extremely average lounge with plenty of seating areas. The food selections are very limited. This lounge would be better if it had more amenities for international travelers such as resting areas, a shower and more selection of food. The lounge is ice cold, which makes it not very comfortable unless you have jackets/blankets.

One of the worst VIP lounges I have ever been to. Limited seat capacity, thus it's always crowded. Food options scarce, for breakfast there were only available bagels and fruit (no cheese, ham, cake, pudding or similar). If you have to pay for it, don't come at all.

  • 1/5 Jas 10 months ago on Google
Coffee is instant. Really? The food matches the coffee. Can be described as basic at best. Better to eat on the plane. No towels for showers and no apparent concern about when they will arrive. Better than sitting in the airport, but not by much. I would not pay to get in.

It looks nice, good WiFi and comfortable seats. But that is pretty much it. the only food available is cookies and nachos.. the really bad nestle coffee machines serves coffees so sweet that I almost could not drink it. I'll give it another try whenever I'm back in Panama because maybe I just went in during a bad time.

A decent place to relax and unwind before flights. The reason this Club only gets 3 stars is because it is usually overcrowded and the food offerings are quite sparse. Being that Copa is the dominant airline at this airport, the facilities need to be expanded and upgraded to international standards.

SUPER busy and run down lounge - busier than the airport terminal and decor that looks like a holdover from the 1980s (and that’s being generous). Provides very few food and drink options (no hot food, mostly junk food / wrapped snacks, no bottled beverages - essentially worse than an airline snack tray in economy class) AND does not allow you to bring in your own food. On the positive side, there are power outlets at many seats (though only 2/3 work).

This is the worst airline based lounge I have visited to date. I bought Copa Business class ticket that had a long stay in Panama thinking I would have the lounge to pass the time and for food. I thought since this is Copa's home port that the lounge with be nice. The lounge is very basic, solely for the AC that actually works in comparison with the rest of airport i gave this 2 stars instead of 1. The fact that your drink options are coffee from a machine or a water fountain, that is free options. If you want something else you will be paying. Next up food, oh I mean lack of. There is literally a line of junk snacks that would be something that would given on a short flight normally. They have the showers closed and some of the toilets. I am not sure what this lack of amenities is due to but it is hardly what I would call a nice lounge. Oh and to top it off for pure stupidity they send someone around ever 15 minutes or so to tell people to put their masks on if they deem your not eating or drinking fast enough. Hahaha this place is horrible. I am taking back the extra star for AC based in being chastized every 15 minutes.

Conclusión: COPA no ofrece un buen servicio a sus pasajeros frecuentes, ni los cuida ni fideliza con éste pésimo servicio de su VIP lounge en el aeropuerto de Panamá. Por el contrario, parece que nos quiere castigar... Malo, malo. RamT.

(Translated by Google) Absolutely impersonal, it looks like a 90's lounge, a gallery of chairs. Very little food, and for a normal sized juice you have to tip a waiter. Too regular (like Copa planes to South America). (Original) Absolutamente impersonal, parece un lounge de los 90, una galería de sillas. Escasísima la comida, y para un jugo de tamaño normal hay que dar tip t un mesero. Demasiado regular (como los aviones de Copa a Sudamérica).

(Translated by Google) The food is ok the service. WiFi Only water and soda, for example, have to stand in line to be served a glass. In other vip you can serve the bottle or can without wasting time in line And it gets very crowded. That is a problem for the time if you have to queue for a mineral or carbonated water.

Receptionist named Mabel has a nasty and disrespectful attitude, she lacks the people skills expected at a lounge. Guest need to be treated with respect.

Nice lounge, but the receptionists are always so rude.
