(Translated by Google) Sensational for all interested parties! There is a lot to see on 15,000 square meters. Vehicles, technology and equipment from the history of Swiss Post. Great restored vehicles from all eras of getting around on wheels and runners or on foot. Radio and television technology, marine radio - everything! Much is only stored and stored in the depot to secure it. Some of the technology was put into operation again by post retirees on a voluntary basis. Wonderful to see something like this in operation. You can also put old telephones into operation yourself. There are also old signs, telephone booths, post advertisements and parts of buildings from old offices and buildings. Likewise a collection of paintings and so on ....... DO NOT FORGET THAT IT IS A DEPOT, NOT A MUSEUM !!! There are guided tours every 1st Friday of the month. Please login. In summer, a Reichspost bus runs from Schaumannkai, Museum for Communication in Frankfurt. A DAAG from 1922. It is definitely worth it. Please check the internet beforehand or call.

The museum, especially the Heusenstamm collection depot, is a real highlight. You will be guided for about 2 hours with a high level of competence. But the multitude of objects is a demanding and intoxicating view. Anyone interested in the topics must have been there.

Once a year the huge collection of postal antiques is shown to the public. There are all types of postal vehicles including stagecoaches. All postal technology is collected here and sometimes loaned to other museums. The tour was very interesting. Also suitable for children. The rest of the year you have to go to Frankfurt to the Postal Museum.

Visitors will discover exhibits that illustrate the historical development of long-distance information transmission systems. For us, who live in a virtual world, the museum helps us realize where it all began.

(Translated by Google) An interesting museum about telecommunications. A nice nostalgia trip. Old telephone booths, telephones, televisions, radios, post buses and carriages are on display. A small downer: The museum is only open once a month, on Fridays from 2 p.m.

Well, they moved a couple of months ago. It's now on the southside of the river in Frankfurt. Note: I was given the address of Industriestrasse, Heusenstamm which was some sort of temp facility for the collection, and still featured on Goggle maps (I checked even today, and it's still listed there).

A must for anyone interested in technology and history! But it is also extremely interesting for children, who can now rely on the best technical support in all areas of life as a matter of course, to be able to see how radio, television and, above all, the beloved cell phone began with the first telephones many years ago. When you're there, don't miss out on the guided tour, which is priced at just five euros! Only as part of this are you allowed into the huge basement exhibition rooms and you can't help but be amazed. Technology, technology and more technology as far as the eye can see. Last Sunday (May 21, 2023) we were lucky enough to be led by a highly competent and friendly employee who was able to explain everything with her impressive knowledge of history. Furthermore, in these “holy cellar halls” you also meet two brilliant and likeable people "Post-retirees" who, with their incredible technical knowledge, "keep the whole place running" and not only show the technology to interested visitors but also explain and demonstrate it! So definitely go and be amazed!!! (But inform yourself about the opening times beforehand, the "thing" is only rarely open, which is a shame.)

This depot is well worth seeing and has tons of technical equipment from all decades. Here you can also view the over 100-year history of Post Electric cars. It's funny that the body looks completely different today but the range has only improved very slightly over the years.

Danke !

(Translated by Google) A visit to the magazine of the Museum of Communication is a highly recommended time travel for all people interested in communication. Actually for everyone. Especially teens who had no contact with analog devices should be surprised here. Old stagecoaches, electric vehicles from the 30s !!!, radios and TVs and much more wait here once a month for visitors. The approximately 2 hours long tour was entertaining and very exciting. (Translated by Google) Here are many equipment, wagons and motor vehicles, the POST, when she was something like the good, old family business was (has worked there half kinship), used. And, we are not in a museum, but in a magazine! A journey through the past is revealed to the visitor as you stroll through the exhibition rooms. Because the post office was also until the beginning of the 90'er years parent company of the Telekom. And there was a lot of cables buried / repaired in the ground. Hence the many different use vehicles. Definitely worth a visit, especially for the open house, when veteran warriors explain the 'old' equipment in a matter of fact. And you can see a variety of different phone booths. What were they for? Have not we always had cell phones? If you are in the mood for antiquated relics, then go there!
