A nice, clean, and a tourist friendly property located facing to the Lake Gregory. We used to stay one night there in March 2021 with the family of my friend and we were fully satisfied with our lodging experience. Property owner and his business partner are really friendly and professional. Meals can get arranged upon request (need to pay separately) and all the dishes are delicious. I can recommend Medalin Cottage as a clean and safe place for your next stay at Nuwara Eliya.

It's very close to the town with great view of the lake, so you can walk out for your meals and still enjoy the view. The two rooms are very clean and roomy & the prices also very affordable

Be careful. What is advertised in booking doesn't correspond to reality. We booked this place for 5 people in the announce it said: 3 big bed + 1 bed-sofa and breakfast included. When we arrived, at our surprise, we found that were only 2 beds and the sofa was no convertible and EVERYTHING was so dirty (stains on the walls, spider webs everywhere, used soaps in the bathroom, hairs on the carpet....). To add up no breakfast. We told the housekeeper to make a discount for the mistake that he made and he said that we pay the total amount or we leave (it was 8 pm and it was too late to search for another place). Besides he asked for the money at the arrival. I would never recommend this place. It is the worst place I have ever been in my life.

It's very close to the town, but with great view of the lake, so you can walk out for your meals and still enjoy the view. The rooms are very clean and roomy. Host is very pleasant and super helpful

We went there January with my parents. It was a such a cozy place to be. Max is five people. It's near by to Nuwara Eliya town and Gregory Lake. So was very convenient on traveling when sight seeing. The owner is very friendly and helpful. We had a BBQ night too. Highly recommend this place if you are traveling with less crowd.

Warm Friendly Couple at a Nice Guesthouse with an Excellent View The most outstanding memory of staying here are the host, Keith and his wife. Upon arriving, I realised that there were only 2 king beds and 3 guys. Even though one of us could sleep on the sofa, Keith volunteered to put in an extra mattress for us with no fuss and at no extra charge. The room was homely and the bathroom was functional. There's a lovely balcony that has a great view of Gregory Lake Staying here was very was made very memorable by the genuine warmth and friendliness that the owners showed. Breakfast was very generous, simple yet absolutely delicious. We found out at breakfast that if we had requested during booking or before arriving, they can make us a home cooked dinner. Instead we went to the dodgy restaurant a few doors down with loud music and a smelly dining area.

The bad reviews were true. It is hard to think of the reason for the good reviews. What is advertised in booking doesn't correspond to reality. I booked Medalin Harmony for 3 nights and paid part of the payment in advance. Unfortunately, my plans have changed and I had to cancel the booking. I requested Mr. Anura (The Host) to return my advance payment and he returned it immediately without any hassle. I appreciate his kind support. This place seems to be nice but, in this movement, I cannot rate this place since I didn’t see the place physically.

My family and I always stay at Medalin Harmony when we visit Nuwara Eliya. The hosts are super kind, friendly and helpful. This guest house has a very cosy cottage-like feel to it and everything is beautifully arranged and tidy. What I also love about this place is the location as it is right in front of the beautiful Gregory lake. I 100% recommend Medalin Harmony to anyone visiting Nuwara Eliya!

Close to gregory lake and park but you cannot expect a scenic view here as its a covered place. Pleasant welcoming owners. They have two rooms with one bath so ideal for a family of about 4-5. TV area, dining, beautiful and small garden but no wifi. Overall satisfied and happy about their pricing also.

Wow! What a truly beautiful and comfortable guest house with the nicest hosts in a great location across from Gregory Lake! We stayed in the double room with balcony and it was fantastic! Spotlessly clean, spacious, very comfortable bed/bedding/ pillows, lovely living room area with a couch and window bench, beautiful views out over Gregory Lake and the park next to it, reliable hot water for the shower... everything about the room was perfect! The WiFi was also the fastest we've had in Sri Lanka! We ate both breakfasts and dinner here and everything was delicious and very reasonably priced. Being able to eat freshly prepared meals delivered to our room in our private living area felt so luxurious! And the owners (who live downstairs so they're always close by if you need them but otherwise give you complete privacy) were so kind and helpful! The location is perfect! It was hard to tell from Google Maps, but the path along Gregory Lake can only be accessed from a few points along the lake (barbed wire fences the rest of the way around), and one of those access points is right across from the guest house. At a leisurely walking pace, it took us 5 minutes to get to the entrance (note that there is a 500 rupee fee for foreigners. You can also walk on the sidewalk outside the park if you don't want to pay the fee, but it felt worth it to us for a nice and quiet lake walk). There are a few restaurants close by (including an excellent pizza place) and a big grocery store about a 10 minute walk away, so you don't really miss anything by being a little farther from the city center. It's much prettier out by the lake anyway, in my opinion:. It's probably 25 minutes to walk into the center of town and there is also a tuktuk stand right nearby. Highly recommended!

Booked a night last minute at Medalin Harmony and holy this place exceeded all of my expectations. The owners were incredibly nice and made me feel right at home during our entire stay. The service was fantastic and the breakfast was just chef's kiss. The apartments were also very comfortable and felt like a home away from home. We loved being able to relax in a space that felt so cozy and welcoming. It was definitely a highlight of our trip and I can't wait to come back and stay again. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay. The owners, service, and meals were all terrific and the apartments felt so homey. I will definitely be visiting back in the future. Ps: Both the owners were so kind the lady even offered to crack the egg shell for me, super sweet of you! :')

The rooms were overlooking the lake Gregory and they were nice and cosy. They provide tasty and worthy breakfast. Cottage keeper and other staff members are very helpful and polite. All the charges are very reasonable. Would definitely recommend!

This is about the Medalin Harmony. I went with my family and my partner. It was just the best decision we made to stay over at the house. The facilities were very good. Most of all their hospitality was amazing. They were very help in finding touristy locations to enjoy our stay. No matter the time they were very active and attended to our calls. The fireplace is super cute. I highly recommend using it. The highlight of our stay was their amazing breakfast. It’s very reasonably priced but very high end tasted breakie. All local bought goodies served in their own kitchen was the absolute best treat we enjoyed. Will definitely stay over at the Medalin Harmony once again. We miss their hospitality Denver & Family
