I
came
here
for
a
"German
hot
water
baths
experience",
but
it
started
off
frustrating.
I
bought
my
ticket
online
as
the
site
recommended
"booking
in
advance
to
ensure
capacity".
The
receptionist
lady
couldn't
speak
a
word
of
English
when
I
arrived.
I
tried
using
my
phone
to
translate
her
words,
but
it
didn't
make
sense.
So
I
just
received
my
standard
arm
band
and
decided
I'll
figure
things
out.
Firstly
this
place
is
very
hard
to
navigate
as
an
English
speaker
visiting
for
the
first
time
(for
example,
I
could
only
find
a
women's
changing
room
and
a
family
changing
room.
As
a
man,
do
I
go
to
the
family
changing-rooms?).
There
are
signs
in
German,
but
you
can't
use
your
phone
so
you
can't
translate
them.
The
bigger
pools
are
clean
and
fun,
but
only
medium
warm.
The
water
slide
is
cool,
but
watch
the
sign
on
the
wall
for
"Schnell"
otherwise
you
won't
move
much.
But
mainly,
the
most
frustrating
thing,
is
that
the
receptionist
didn't
book
me
for
sauna.
Only
afterwards
did
I
learn
is
the
only
way
you
can
get
in.
And
because
of
confusing
Covid
regulations
on
each
room
(even
though
everyone
visiting
must
present
a
3G),
they
only
let
a
few
people
in
apparently.
Your
"day
ticket"
also
includes
the
hour
that
everything
is
closed
for
cleaning.
You
have
to
either
sit
around
and
wait,
or
leave.
Considering
the
price
and
time
it
took
to
get
here,
I
chose
to
likely
sit
and
wait
at
reception.
Also
note
that
although
it
doesn't
mention
it
anywhere,
you
should
bring
all
your
own
soap,
towel,
flipflops
etc.
(For
the
price
I
had
hoped
to
at
least
have
a
soap
dispenser
in
the
shower).
Eventually
I
decided
to
just
go
check
the
sauna
rooms
without
having
a
special
arm
band.
And
they
were
all
empty
or
at
less
than
20%
full!
I
just
used
a
shoe
marker
and
visited
each
one.
Then
it
was
very
enjoyable,
especially
the
eucalyptus
one
at
the
lake.
So
ignoring
the
rules
saved
my
experience.
All
in
all
it
turned
out
nice
and
still
worth
it,
but
it
was
unnecessarily
frustrating
to
start.
I
recommend
going
with
someone
who
has
been
before,
or
speaks
German
fluently,
or
find
an
English
staff
member.
Or
if
you
have
been
to
a
nice
hot
water
springs
place
before,
you
could
skip
it.
