I ordered from the menu of the day with the salmon as my entree. I had to send my salmon back twice because it was raw and not cooked repeatedly. Aside from putting my plate under heat and returning the exact same thing back to me, the service was not welcoming at all. For the salad course, I was brought vinegar packets that were already opened and used. There was a bug in my glass, as well. Although there is a great view of the aqueducts, I can not recommend this restaurant.

Restaurante Casares has a great location, steps from the Aqueduct of Segovia, probably the biggest attraction of the city. It has a couple of lunch menus that are geared to visitors. In Segovia, the main local specialty is usually braised meat. The meat was too dry. Luckily, the white broad beans - another local specialty - were well prepared and tasted good. This was my appetizer. It was hearty and, with dessert, quite sufficient for lunch. Service was slow, but the restaurant was full and understaffed.

Best meal I had in Spain so far! Roast pork is so tender and the Judiones is extremely delicious!!! The portion is so generous that one set menu is far more than enough for two person. The price is very reasonable! I highly recommend this place to everyone especially if you want to try good local food when you travel here!

great experience: - the place: we had lunch inside, at street level, in a very quiet area, with very very subtle ambient music. No noise at all from either the outside or the bar area. Excellent. - the service: very proffessional and kind. Excellent - the food: We had Morcilla and alcachofas as starters: absolutely delicious, the morcilla came just fried and the alcachofas were top. My wife and I had cochinillo, perfectly cooked, really tasty. Our daughther was also very pleased with the lomo a la salsa de pimienta. To end we had the coulant, the brownie and a chocolate ball filled with petazetas. All really nice. - wine: we are very fan of Protos, so we asked for a bottle of Protos Roble. Top as usual. to sum up: if you want a quiet, relaxed and absolutely delicius real spanish local gastronomic experience, this is the place in Segovia: inside the Casares you'll have it.

It is open until 1 a.m. which is very convenient. Good atmosphere and service. It is also just outside the aqueduct so it is easy access and near the car parking place. I ordered a salad.

5 stars to this revamped place for various reasons: - Quality of its food: every served dish met our expectations, from the starters (cold meats, croquettes & tempura veggies) going through the main course (I chose grilled turbot) to the dessert (a delicious tiramisu). - service: very attentive all the time, we could even stay longer enjoying our post drinks - views and location: well, not many restaurants let you enjoy the Acueduct views as Casares does. Keep it up, Casares team. I reccomend

Nice food, but a little expensive, compared to others in the area, difficult to get the servers attention, and it was quiet. It started to rain, and the two tables of locals were helped to move their tables to better area of shelter, we were not helped, and sorted ourselves out, even though one of the tables they helped was next to ours. My wife is Coeliac, and ordered a gluten free dessert, when it arrived, i questioned it's contents, and sure enough, it contained gluten, and had to be changed. An average experience for us.

The treatment we received yesterday in this place was disappointing, we went to Segovia with great enthusiasm and the people are extremely unpleasant, at least the employees, I don't know if it's because of a lot of work, but they are not professional at all, what a disappointment of a place, what a wrong... bye Segovia, goodbye. Learn a little education in treating your visitors. After walking around Spain throughout the Mediterranean and Andalusia, Toledo and Madrid with exquisite treatment, I came across you 🤔🤮🤢🤬 too bad.

My family and I stopped here for lunch after touring the city. The host was friendly and found us a table even without a reservation and being a busy place. Antonio was our waiter. He was knowledgeable and very attentive to our needs. He selected a fantastic wine for our table! Our food came out quickly and was delicious!!! We ordered salads, pig, eggs and potato. There was another server helping us at the end. She had long straight hair and was very nice and helpful. Great food, great service, great location!

Dive in at the deep end. My husband and I have a fairly good vocabulary in Spanish. But no English menu and not very well spoken English from the waiting staff. So took a leap of faith. It was beautiful. I ended up with a very large piece of braising steak. Which was perfectly well done and melted in your mouth. Absolutely 💯 recommend.

We were so hungry and was sitting there for more than 20 minutes after the menu has been provided. No one came to take the order. We asked two servers, one of them said coming but never came and another one pointed to another server who ended up chit chatting and on his phone. So we just had to leave

I have been looking for a long time to find this restaurant on google maps so I could write a review. Finally I found it. So we went in this restaurant in the afternoon. There weren’t a lot of people. The card was translated in many languages. We ordered a salad, a soup, three dishes and two desserts. Actually everything was alright but the fish wasn’t fresh or well cooked. It had a really strange sour taste.

Wonderful experience at Casares! We did the typical segoviano menu with the Cordero lechal. The lamb was stunning—incredibly tender inside and crispy on the outside. The staff were very attentive to dietary restrictions and advised on ordering, considering the allergies in our party. They had gluten free bread available, as well as an entire gluten free daily menu (menu del día). Conveniently located by the acueducto. This place was recommended by our Airbnb host. Despite being right next to the acueducto, it seemed like a good mix of locals and tourists.

Tried the Executive Menu! Super filling and all the courses were delicious. The staff were super friendly, let us keep our bags as we were travelling through Segovia!! Should probably get an appointment prior as it’s difficult to find seats.

I stumbled across this place as it was right by where I parked and the aqueduct. Had the executive menu. The Gazpacho to start which was solid, the roast pork was quite possibly the best pork I’ve ever eaten, with fine crackling like the best kind of caramel. I had a cheesecake for dessert which was decent, but I was still dreaming of the pork.
