Plaza Mayor is the vibrant old center of Segovia. There are plenty of things to see and do, starting with the Cathedral, extending to Teatro Juan Bravo, and a few restaurants, pastry shops and cafe terraces. Plaza Mayor is also the location of a weekly farmer's market that temporarily transforms the neighborhood into an old-fashioned square. Local produce, fruits, flowers and local specialties are abundant on market day.

Plaza Mayor is simply like any other plaza in Spain with popular square with restaurant with outdoor seating all around however unique perspective of Cathedral is unmatched.

Pleasant plaza with many restaurants. Seating placed around plaza. Great views of cathedral. Many side streets with varied shops. Not too far to the castle.

A beautiful place to visit day or night. Many restaurants to sit and enjoy the view of the Cathedral(which offers guided tours). Some places can be slightly pricey due to the location. But I would definitely recommend even just going for some pictures. Take note that there is a 6 person per table restriction right now due to COVID-19.

Like so many Spanish city main squares vibrant with community activity. This one comes with the added feature oof the catederal that occupies one side of the square. Ringed by restaurants virtually dominated. by catering to tourists, don't head here if you need to do any serious food shopping. But for enjoyment this is the place to be in Segovia.

A beautiful square, the ideal place for a break after visiting the Cathedral and before the Alcazar, or the other way around. We had a coffee at one of the restaurants, local specialities, Pastries, from the Confitería El Alcázar and it was charming.

Lovely sunny corner terrace tucked into the ancient walls of Segovia. Excellent local dishes, tapas and raciones served all day.

Cathedral was closed when we visited, around 6 pm. Many restaurants around that place unfortunately Spanish habits of having dinner after 9 pm did not allow us to eat there as we were tired and dine usually around 7 pm

Wonderful, views from terrace outside our room. Modern art throughout, very comfortable rooms, air conditioning appreciated. Easy access to everything in old Town.

Nice place to spend good time sipping coffee or wine or beer... Central location of Segovia, big open space surrounded by old house and food outlet. At one side, you will have view of Cathedral of Segovia, on other side old houses (some are over 100 years old), Main location or venue for local cultural events as well.

The main or best known public square in Segovia is much like the Plaza Mayor of major cities in Spain. Arranged around the square are lots of bars, cafes and restaurants. The Cathedral of Segovia is also here and the only slightly unusual thing about this plaza is that it has an old style bandstand. Worth a stop for food.

Not so much to see, some restaurants which may or may not be overpriced. Much like other "plaza mayors" in nearby cities. Place was completely empty during the afternoon when we were there.

Sitting on a chair in the square, opening a can of beer, basking in the sun, and then dazed for a while. This is so-called life…

Wow, what an amazing place with a fantastic vibe. Getting used to the late nights and early mornings as well as the vibe takes time, but the atmosphere is electric.
