You just have to come and try their lunch and dinner menu. They offer different menu for both session. Cincai menu is very nice. Even 2 pax you can just order a few dishes and feel just right. Noodle is a must order, pork lard rice thumbs up too. We tried the pork rib and salted egg fried pumpkin. It was so good indulging with good food. The highlight of the meal is definitely the mochi. We prefer corn than kaya. The mochi is so softttt! We had the chinese new year drinks - heng ong huat. Orange chrysanthemum beer and whisky with bak kwa. Creative yet refreshing! Hope to come back for more on different menu.

Sorry but this place doesn't live up to the hype. Decoration was very hipster, service was great as it was manned by young and ambitious kids, but food was just not up to par at all. I had the nyonya laksa with chicken slice (RM26) and emerald dragon with beer braised pork belly (RM26). The nyonya laksa broth tasted diluted, definitely missing some strong flavours that I'm used to in a typical bowl of nyonya laksa. It was served with some pretty big fried shrimps but they weren't very well seasoned so that was disappointing. The chicken slice looks like processed food, but I admit it doesn't taste proceased which is a good thing. It's just a bit odd biting into a very straight, perfectly rectangular piece of meat. Almost like luncheon meat. The "laksa" noodles were undercooked and quite hard when you bite into it. Overall quite a difficult meal to like. As for the emerald dragon, the noodles were much softer and tastier, and the beer braised pork belly was pretty unique too. However, portion was quite small for the price we paid. For the steep pricetag on a bowl of noodles, I'll have to say the taste and portion really disappoints. Final note, the waiter offers you water but doesn't tell you there's a RM1 charge. I didn't know restaurants were still allowed to charge for water.

The place is nicely decorated and neat. I would recommend you to make reservation as is always packed. Love the food at this place as the chef has cook the traditional with a new personal touch to it giving one the curiosity to try to figure what the familiar is from. The chicken is nicely marinated and they serve the soup brew from the chicken. Steam egg is good. The vegetables has really unique and interesting taste to it. Lastly the dessert. Really enjoy it.

Overall is average, price on a higher side but most of the dishes are just normal, not too great or excellent considering the price factor. There weren’t many options on the menu, we ordered quite a few dishes: 1. Truffle yeasted noodles 2. Cold drunken duck 3. Grilled pork ribs 4. Claypot sweet jalapeño and angus wagyu belly 5. 金丝豆腐 6. Dragon chives and centry egg sauce 7. Cashew nut and duck egg kaya muachee 8. Lime & papaya aiyu jelly I would recommend the pork ribs and the aiyu jelly. The aiyu jelly was a gem and it’s kinda different from those typical aiyu. The tofu is kinda normal and the shop doesn’t have much options on green vegetables. Would think that the portion is actually not big but still adequate to serve 3-4 ppl. Have a quite neutral opinion for this shop, but it’s still worth trying out considering the taste of the dishes is something you wouldn’t get outside for first timer. But considering that we had ordered most of the items from the menu, might not consider a second visit. The parking there might be a headache, carpool would be great cause is really really limited.

We ordered their signature dishes to try as it is our first time here Cold drunken duck was 7/10, the meat is very tender and flavourful Truffle yeasted noodle was 7/10. Truffle taste was quite strong which is great for truffle lover 🤣 Napa Cabbage & braised dried oysters was 10/10. Very interesting way of serving Chinese cabbage and it tastes amazing Last but not least, Mua Chee was a 100/10. It taste like the local delicacy - apam balik and the texture of mochi was so soft and not sticky at the same time! Overall, we had a great time at Fifty Tales with very attentive waiters

The food is quite underwhelming given its price, and its fame. It’s really just ordinary food which taste so-so but with fancy name. 1. Truffle noodles: the truffle taste wasnt strong enough and the noodle was slightly hard 2. Dragon chives with century egg sauce: There wasnt even a faint taste of century egg in this. Scammer much? Anyways, we were quite disappointed with how bland this vege was given its RM36 for this 3. Tofu: nothing special bout this 4. Cold drunken duck and pork ribs: These were quite okay, the pork ribs were quite tender and the duck was quite special 5. dessert (muachee and aiyu jelly): these are the best dishes that we ordered that night. Will consider to come back just for the dessert. The aiyu jelly is refreshing and flavorful! the peanut flavor muachi reminds me of pasar malam apom but it does taste good and the texture is good as well though its abit pricey (RM12 for one) For reservation more than 7 pax they do required a deposit of RM200. Make sure they deduct it from the total when u got your bill. Not really suitable for gathering if you are hoping to be able to chit chat and catch up as the dining hour is strictly restricted to 1.5 hours.

Don’t let the simple decor fool you. The food is delicious, flavorful and innovative. The service is friendly and attentive. For Jan/Feb 2024 dinner menu, highly recommend the crispy pumpkin salted egg, Wensi tofu soup, goji berry pancakes and mochi. The claypot rice seems to be a crowd favorite too!

Chinese restaurant with unique taste of modern style! Well accommodated for big group dinner. Personally prefers noodle, drunken duck and the hotpot beef. Selection of drinks is innovative!

Love the texture of the noodles. They are firm and springy! And the marinated egg is perfection, so flavourful. The restaurant is staffed by young people and it’s just good vibes all around. Will definitely return to try their dinner menu.
