So I chose to stay in the tower view deluxe king room for my last night in KL. I arrived at the hotel for check in at 4pm and was met with bad news that the room was still not ready. I had to give credit to Mel (the receptionist) for dealing with the upsetting situation by giving my wife and I free breakfast (it wasn't included in my room). All I can say is the service was top notch. I have no words about the room itself. Absolutely incredible views of the twin towers. My room was the corner room and you can imagine the views I had. The bathroom was equally spacious with first class amenities. Nothing more to say.

We didn't stay but we went for the afternoon tea at Thirty8 Restaurant Grand Hyatt. From the beginning I called for a change of date for our reservation until we went to eat at the restaurant, it was pure disappointment. It was shocking to experience a hotel with its market standing this level of customer service. Our calls were passed from one person to another and eventually they informed that they would get the person in charge to return call. The returned call would never come. This had repeated a few rounds and finally the reservation was made. The views at Thirty8 were good but that was all. The food was not good and we were served with half melted ice creams. We had to remind the waiter three times before we could get our tea refilled. I would say it had been a zero-star customer experience from start to end. This would be the first and also the last time we would patronise this hotel.

A wonderful place and a very great hotel , The place is recommended especially for your love ones or solo vacation to treat yourself a luxury getaway . The meals are so scrumptious and well presentable. But the ugly thing about this hotel is the staff Attitude, It’s so ridiculous that it doesn’t even deserve a star. It’s not the hostess or any team leader, But I believe it’s a Chinese girl, someone with a higher position. You should train your staff to have more respect and be more polite especially when it comes to handle a business purpose. The rude behaviour of them only make this hotel less attractive.

I stayed with family for 5 nights and enjoyed the good services, food at this hotel and swimming pool. Staff were polite and serve you with a smile. One thing I didn’t actually prefer was the transparent glass of the shower room from backside which was difficult for some of family members sharing the same room to have a privacy shower. Receptionist said all rooms have same design unfortunately.

A wonderful hotel with a spectacular view of the twin towers. The room was luxurious, spacious and very comfortable. I love how the bathroom glass wall can, at a press of a switch, turn opaque for extra privacy. The service was impeccable and felt genuine. A wonderful stay.

It was genuinely a great experience staying at Grand Hyatt. I had a staycation with mom for my birthday and we got the Twin Room with the City View. The room was very spacious and cozy. The whole ambience and feel was wonderful. The service was also great. The Sky Lobby with a view of KL city was also a nice touch. Would I stay again? Definitely!

It was worth to stay in Twin Tower View room, we get to oversee all the beautiful lights from here. Thanks for the complimentary birthday cake and the services were top notch and commendable. From Sky Lobby Reception to Grand Club to THIRTY8 to Ground Lobby - they all maintained the same level (if not more) of professionalism. Breakfast was great and the chefs were friendly despite the heavy crowd. All Grand Club team extended a great level of hospitality - Thanks Joyce, Prem, Esther and literally everyone else there! Very attentive, very friendly. My kids gave the hotel 10 out of 10.

Worst experience I've had anywhere in the world checking in. Even checking in well after the time the TWO rooms we had booked were not ready. Firstly no ownership of the issue. Meerly "sit on the couch over there and I'll call you on your international number when the rooms are ready. " Not even a "can I get you a bottle of water while you wait"... nothing. No view of time for the rooms to be ready... until I stood my ground and refused to move from the front desk. Then they said the rooms were having final check and he would come back to us in 5 min. Well, 5 min came and went, and again, until I went up to the desk, there was no action. As I pointed out to them, if I stayed until 1 pm rather than the non check out, they would charge me another day. We lost access to our room and had no attempt to remedy the situation or restitution. Even better is we're part of a large wedding reception and had very little time to change and get ready... all they could do was deflect with a "I'm so sorry"... at one point I thought they were going to comp our breakfast (part of our room anyway) but all they said is breakfast is on the level below. And now I find we're not the only ones from the wedding party with rooms not ready. Not good enough.

Afternoon Tea Delight: I had the pleasure of experiencing the luxurious afternoon tea at this hotel, and it was nothing short of amazing. The attentive staff made sure every need was met, creating a truly enjoyable experience. Actually I was staying at a nearby hotel whose restaurant was closed. They happily accommodated me and the food and service blew me away! I had mostly seafood and it was cooked to perfection, with great flavour combinations I had not had before (scallops with pumpkin sauce and pumpkin seeds - gorgeous!!! Moroccan king prawn - sumptuous!!! Desert and voice - exquisite!!!). Staff genuinely warm and friendly, really well informed about the food and drinks. Unexpectedly special evening - oh and great view too!

The view that we get from our room is spectacular, every sides of the outer walls are glass so you know you will get a very beautiful view 24 hours a day. We can see the whole KLCC tower and some landscape of the KL city. The room is spacious and our little daughter seems to be happy that she can crawl around the room even to the bathroom! Some of the staff are very helpful especially the room service. Breakfast variety is awesome and again, accompanied with the beautiful view of the heart of KL. As a 5 star, in-room dining foods and beverage is not really worth it. The portion is small and the taste is average (but the beef burger is quite good). We are expecting for free minibar as well but that is not the case at Grand Hyatt hotel. Some of the staff need to be more attentive and welcoming especially the front desk officers. Well that will definitely will make the guest feel welcomed and might considering coming back again to the hotel. That is something that were lack of from my opinion - the service of a 5 star hotel. Another thing that I felt a little bit inconvenient is multiple lift (3 to be exact) need to be taken from the basement car pack to your room. That's our first time experiencing it but the distance from a lift to another is still acceptable.

Grand Hyatt is supposed to be a five star hotel? It was a good hotel and a good stay but it was not a five star experience. Location of the hotel was great, we booked the room with the tower view so the view was great but there were stains on the window, it didn’t ruin the view but would expected better. During our stay there were renovations work ongoing which is fine but the notice said the start time on the weekend is from 11am but it actually started at 9am. We pre ordered a cake through email for a birthday celebration and was reassured when we check in that we would be receiving the cake in 20 minutes but we had nothing. We booked a room for three people and even the concierge acknowledged it was for three but when we got to the room it was only for two people. I think there were also difficulties for the staff to communicate in English. At times if felt the staff were rude but I think it was just from the frustration because there were several occasions when we have to explain ourselves repeatedly. Honestly, I just expect better from a five star hotel.

Booked this place for my parent’s anniversary and it was wonderful! They really enjoyed their time there. Staffs are very helpful and polite. We booked the hi-tea via klook and add on the table decor & cakes via email. The transaction was very smooth. There were varieties of food and worth every penny. Might come back soon!

Great hotel! I have experienced fantastic service during my last stay there, and special thanks to the 2 Firdaus at the concierge who went out of their way to help me recover my lost laptop, which I left in the plane. Room decor is tasteful, and amenities are superb as I expect from any Grand Hyatt. Keep it up, and see you guys soon!

Convenient location, we were able to walk to most of the attractions and shopping malls in the city. Most of the hotel staff speak English, they were pleasant and friendly, they also assisted by arranging a day tour with a tour guide to the outskirts of the city. We booked a spacious room with a 180° stunning view of the city’s skyline; bed and pillows were nice and firm. Variety of foods served at breakfast, and the restaurants in the hotel serve international/western dishes also. We went out the night before my birthday and when we returned to the room, a special gift from the had been left for me. Truly appreciated the gesture.

By far one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at . We arrived midnight and there was a slight delay in bags coming to the room. But everything else was amazing , the staff so friendly , going above and beyond. Recommending restaurants and sights to visits with care . The pool area was great for adults and perfect for toddlers too. The spa and sauna area a absolute delight. The gym was way nice than my fitness first membership. Clean and tidy. Close by to the twin towers and shopping centre . Highly recommend , thanks guys ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Super efficient staff, from concierge till check out. Feel really welcomed by their hospitality even the crowd is quite huge during my stay. If there's comment possible, is Thirty Eight Staff during breakfast. They're relatively below par from Grand Hyatt staff performance, nevertheless still doing a great job. Room is great, good food, great location. Cant wait for our next trip here :)

Had a wonderful time with the family. The location and facilities were excellent. It was also worthwhile booking the clubrooms as the use of club lounge allowed for a place to chill and relax. Parking was also easy. Will definitely recommend and certainly come again. The staff was always friendly and helpful. A shout out to Ms Esther who handled our check in.

Overall room experience was good. Not the best if you want a full on luxurious getaway to relax as the set up, to me, leans slightly more towards the business end. But omg - best cheeseburger I’ve had from a hotel 🍔Get it delivered to your room. Best!

I've just checked out from GH KL and it doesn't hesitate me to write a review on the compliment towards the hotel's service from the staff and management team. The team was fantastic and we are here for my spouse' birthday event. Utmost to say, we are truly enjoyed our stay here. Special thanks to Esther (in Sky Lobby, amongst others) with your warmest smile and greetings.

One of the few decent hotels in Malaysia. The price is cheaper compared to usual Grand Hyatts because its in Malaysia. But one of the worst Grand Hyatts I’ve ever visited. Customer service is almost nonexistent. Lowlevel staff are very rude and very arrogant. They run the hotel like they own the place. Just an awful experience. Great view. Rooms clean.

Great experience. Btw, I come with family members and used baby stroller. When go out from lift at Ground level to change different lift to parking level B1 / B2, there is 2 steps stair without any ramp. I think it is quite obvious that small ramp are required for baby stroller or wheel chair. If I go to level B1/B2 from different lift at level 2 (pool level), I don't have this issues. But I think this route are a quite dark / less light. This is just my simple observation, maybe there is another way at Ground level that I don't realize since I also did not ask Grand Hyatt staff around. Hehehe...

The check in lobby is at the highest floor, very different from the other hotels. When the lift opens you will have an awesome view of the skyscraper with the tall glass of the lobby. Room are neat and clean, views are not too bad as we didn’t manage to get the twin tower view. Overall is okay, comfortable and spacious. The restaurant is just a level below the lobby, they serves nice Chinese cuisine, we especially like the fried rice, the simple dish is the most difficult and requires a certain level of culinary experience over the years.

We had a great stay at Grand Hyatt. The location was perfect and walkable to KLCC and Pavilion. The rooms had everything we needed and the service staff was very friendly. Food and drinks at the bar were good too and we also enjoyed the spa service at the hotel. Would highly recommended to others!

What a fantastic hotel! I stayed here for 3 nights in the Grand Twin Towers view suite and really had a pleasant stay. My trip started and ended with a hotel booked airport limousine (Mercedes S class) which was a great way to arrive in KL and such a stress free experience when leaving as well. The room was huge and well appointed with plenty of room for guests. The multiple welcome amenities (cookies, dried fruits, crackers, fresh fruit) were a really nice treat and I used them throughout my stay. I ordered room service on multiple occasions, for breakfast, lunch, and dinner; all were fresh and delicious as well as generously portioned. I also visited the restaurant for breakfast on two mornings, both times were great and the Grand Hyatt really puts on a huge spread for breakfast. Each day I had completely different meals which was nice. Unfortunately the spa was booked up during my stay but I was able to enjoy the pool while I was there, which was nice and had plenty of seating options. Access the the KLCC park is easy and literally right across the road, so plenty of shopping options. Again, fantastic hotel and while there are many nice options here in Kuala Lumpur, I could easily find myself returning here and would recommend it to my friends as the service and quality are of great value for the price.

Stayed for few nights and it’s a haven of luxury and relaxation in the midst of a vibrant city. My only minor quibble was the limited local food options at the hotel, but with the city’s culinary treasures just steps away, it’s a small matter. The hotel’s dining options are impressive, with a variety of restaurants offering international and local cuisine. The breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious I would highly recommend the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur to anyone seeking an unforgettable stay in this beautiful city. It’s a five-star experience from start to finish, and I can’t wait to return.

Beautiful hotel from the entrance all the way to the rooms. The views from the rooms are breathtaking. The breakfast buffet was great. The staff are amazing. There was a guy in the kitchen called Aliff, he makes delicious omelettes. Imagine enjoying your breakfast while looking at the Petronas twin towers! Right in the city close to the shopping malls! How wonderful!

I had 2 nights of memorable stay here. I booked a Deluxe Room with a Towers View. The room was spacious & clean. I like the open-concept bathroom but you can close the windows shade for privacy. Don't forget to try the breakfast at Thirty8, the 360-degree restaurant with a panoramic view of KL city. The breakfast here was so amazing. The hospitality here also is top-notch. By far, this is the best hotel I've stayed at.

We couldn’t have asked for a better stay here. The rooms were CLEAN! The location could not have been better or more convenient as tourists. The AC worked so well, pool was so nice, amazing views, beds were comfy - would 10/10 recommend if you’re in KL.

  • 2/5 Dandelion D. 2 years ago on Google
Grand Hyatt could do better. Competitor is high especially u r located right in the city center. Room is clean and comfy but service is no where near 5-star, probably like 2-3. Was ignore multiple times. Check in and check out is not smooth. Had to stand and wait for long. Thirty8 is supposed to be a classy restaurant but the staff didn’t manage to hold on to their standards and allow guests to come in shorts and hotel ma slippers. The hi tea set was not as great as advertisement. The combination was strange. We didn’t feel welcome and no warmth in your service. The breakfast - Chinese noodles was excellent! One of the best I’ve ever tested. Egg station was fantastic with great presentation. Good spread was good. Just the walk to the foods station and our seat is rather long. But again, the service is not meeting expectations. Needed to wait for long before enter. Being treated like a student where teacher will need to check your this and that. The overall staffing is obviously new and under trained. Gym is great though! All and all, feeling disappointed. Not coming back.

The room is well decorated. But hotel services are terrible . When we order grab food and ask their staff helps us deliver to our room. However, their receptionist relied that we were shortage of staffs currently due to loads of guests coming. At first, we felt understood. But when we went out for shopping. Saw many staff just lazy standing in front of door and do nothing. Now told me shortages of staff for no one just delivering foods. So irony. Terrible hotel services for brandy hotel

Rooms are beautiful, modern and large but strangley lack comfort. The front desk staff are not the most helpful. I wanted to stay an extra day, and they told me there is no more room left, but then I was able to book any types of room on their website! They buffet breakfast is excellent.

Important notes: - deposit of 900mr when staying. If you pay by credit card, card won’t be charged directly, they just seek authorisation that a charge of up to 900mr can be initiated. If you pay by debit card then the card will be charged and takes 1 month to return - lifts can be a little confusing. Just remember one section goes from ground to sky lounge and other section goes to the rooms and the gym. If you take the lift for the rooms you can still access the ground by getting off at level 2 and walking out onto the swimming pool area and taking the lift to the ground floor. Saved us a great deal of time. Me and my wife stayed here for 3 nights. Pros: - views are exceptional and you can fully see the infamous towers and other fantastic buildings. - breakfast has an abundance of selection - service is immaculate and the staff are exceptionally helpful - showers in the rooms are excellent and water pressure is one to envy when leaving - gym has everything you need Cons - beds were uncomfortable, but this feedback is bias so therefore not considered in overall star rating - the air con in the building fluctuates and is set extremely low, so inevitably my partner got ill going in and out from the humid temperatures outside to the freezing cold inside. For me I enjoyed it, so again this consideration can be bias. - the deposit refund for debit cards is definitely something they should look at. Even though I had my credit card, via apply pay, they did not permit it stating a physical card was required, which in this day of age, with this contemporary hotel, seems a little dated. Overall was a pleasant stay. Everything you need is nearby so very easy to get around and see all that you wish to.

We were there for 3 nights..had booked for a king bed tower view room for 2 days, but when we saw that check in time is 3 pm we booked the same room for one more day... a day before our arrival we confirmed that we will not have to change room as we had 2 + 1 day booking of the same room. We had to reach KL on 11th morning. Had our booking vouchers but still on our arrival we were not given our room, which was already booked from 10th. The manager told us there was technical glitch.. it was bad experience for us...having paid for 1 extra day only to check in on arrival as we were traveling with toddler. The room had wash basin just behind the bed. Making it too noisy to use if anyone is sleeping 😴. Hope this review helps others. Otherwise location is awesome and 10 on 10 for lobby area.

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely brilliant. The rooms were impeccable, service was on point and the location was brilliant. A special shout out to Nicole Yah( a staff member at the club lounge). She suggested the most amazing eateries and got us the reservations at the most wonderful restaurants eventhough it was the weekend. Will definitely stay at the Grand Hyatt again.

Very convenient location just besides to KLCC. The staff is friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast is fantastic. It took me a while to be used to the fact that you have to take lift to top floor lobby then change to another lift to your room floor. A bit troublesome but feels more secure and private. Rooms is spacious and well designed without losing the convenience and luxury feeling. Highly recommended!

This is our 2nd time staying at the Grand Hyatt, Kuala Lumpur. Room was very clean, everything was spic and span. Electrical appliances were fairly new and in good working condition. It was an early anniversary celebration for us this time round and the hotel surprised us with a little cake. How sweet! They were also very accommodating with our requests, too. We also had a lovely lunch at the Thirty8 restaurant before we left. Service was excellent and the staff were very friendly.

I booked a deluxe room with Tower view through hyatt.com. The room view is absolutely beautiful, and the room was good, although it gives you the impression of an old room, I like the room layout and also the wood atmosphere. The service team was good at check-in and 38 restaurant. What confused me was the lift from the room to go to car park :) you need to go to Level 2 and access from the swimming pool area. Overall, it was good

An excellent property that lives up to the Grand Hyatt standards. Shiama in Guest Services is fantastic at her job and truly caring. The F&B staff at 38 were great. Food quality was very good at both 38 and JP Teres. Housekeeping did such a pristine job on our room for the 5 nights we were there. All the Concierge and Bell staff were extremely gracious too. We were very impressed all around. Keep up the great work!

We had a memorable stay and dine at Grand Hyatt. We liaise with Ann from the beginning. We always got a prompt reply whenever we ask her anything. She also helped us to get our 360 video during The Grand Getaway which we unable to download it. TGG dinner was another level experience. Food was all good. The service was great. All the crew were so friendly and helpful. The show was entertaining. We really enjoyed our dinner in 5 cities. The check in staff was very kind to fulfill our request to upgrade the room with tower view. We had a good sleep at first night but second night was terrible. The guest next door were having party with very loud music and laughing and it started after 12am. We called concierge and security went to their room politely ask them to stop/reduce the volume. Unfortunately they continued the party after security left. Our moment of truth was during check out when the staff apologized so many times for the incident. Honestly we did not blame the hotel. It’s the guest attitude which was so selfish. Other than that we had a great experience. The hospitality was beyond our expectation. You guys really deliver the service with heart. Keep it up!

Room was only available at 5pm. Didn’t enjoy the hype of the hi tea there as I didn’t know what I was eating most of the time with the savory platter. The only edible thing was the choc lava cake. The room started to look a bit old, TV was also flickering. It’s about time to maintain it better and upgrade the place. For the price I paid for my stay I didn’t think it was worth it. The only thing I did enjoy there was the breakfast. Good variety and also up to standards.

Its a nice room on par with other hotels. However was highly dissapointed with how difficult it is to use pools with the booking system which is always filled up and the breakfast buffet is always full with long waiting time. We went to thirty8kl for breakfast after so much hype regarding the view only to be directed to the other cafes despite insisting that we can wait. The breakfast counters has a very long queues, the food quality is average - case in point, the croissant is cold and doughy and they even ran out of butter! Unable to utilize the facilities fully considering the price paid for the room At a similar price range I have experienced a much better and pleasant service in other hotels. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anybody else. This hotel unfortunately is a victim of their own fame and hype

We had a wonderful stay here. The staff are excellent. Very attentive, always smiling, always ready to assist. The rooms are large and well set out. The light switches take a little getting used to, some flip up and down, others, side to side, and some push in and out. The hotel, although dated, is well maintained. Breakfast on level 38 is very good, with amazing views of the twin towers. The club lounge is a great place to meet friends, relax, have a bite and a drink. With the same amazing views in the background. The internet is a little slow, but I understand they have already scheduled for this to be upgraded. The gym, spa, steam room, etc. are great. I look forward to visiting again.

We came here to celebrate birthday. We enjoyed our stay. The room is spacious and comfortable. The swimming pool is large too. They provide free complimentary birthday cake. The room service was good, but the food portion is quite small compared to the price. 2 small egg benedicts cost rm48.

Wow wow wow! Everything about Grand Hyatt KL, from service to room, is wow! Even before checking in, the team was nice enough to upgrade me to a suite (in recognition of my World of Hyatt status) despite it being fully sold out over a really busy long weekend. The suite is one of the most gorgeous I’ve seen in Southeast Asia Hyatt hotels, with very high ceilings and incredible views of the KLCC district. Service was subtly impeccable. I merely stepped out of my room for an hour at the gym, and within that hour, housekeeping had come in and turned the room around without me knowing. And the gym is a full-scale gym comparable to commercial gyms! The only bit that was less impressive was breakfast at Thirty8. Although there was a wide variety of options, nothing really stood out. Nonetheless, this is now my favorite hotel in KL. I’ll definitely be back!

Very noisy and very disappointing. The hotel sounds like a creche/kindergarten. Lots of noisy children and babies. It seems to cater to big families mainly which is fine, but every single guest should be able to enjoy their own rooms. However, it was not possible. I’ve had a room with a nice view on the 24th floor. However, I couldn’t enjoy it or properly concentrate to do some work because I had children jumping up and down in the room above mine and I could hear the noise in my room. You can also hear the noise from the rooms next door and in corridors because the configuration of the corridor is like a square and children line to run around and yell. I had an early flight and had noise from children jumping in the room above mine in the evening. I phoned twice to the reception to ask them to address the issue. It was not addressed until I dressed up and went up to the reception desk to ask a representative to address the issue. By then, I had the noise going on for over an hour. It’s understandable that children like to play, but everyone should be able to enjoy their rooms and rest if they wish. In particular in a 5-stars hotel. Therefore, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Really a top class 5 star hotel. Quality fittings, excellent service, fantastic view. Lovely pool area. Lobby on 38th floor a great idea. Probably the best hotel we've ever stayed in. Accessible from covered walkway - just a short walk when you go down the lift. Highly recommended.

Was there for a photoshoot of my daughter's final university project. Via some contacts we had managed to arrange a room for during the day. We were pleasantly surprised to be allowed to use a beautiful suite. Amazing view over KL from the 36st floor. The suite itself was superb. Not sure how much this will cost to stay overnight. So I can't say much about the food in the hotel as we didn't use it but the service was great, our luggage was delivered quickly and the suite was out of this world. Well worth to stay here for a relaxing few days near everything you want to visit in KL City Centre. Of course it will come at a price.

The hotel was buzzing with guests and there's delay upon checking in, however the front desk staffs were trying their best to get the room ready for me. Truly appreciate. It just so happened that I stayed in the same room years ago. Room is well maintained, location is great and breakfast buffet is good with a large variety from Western to Chinese to Malay and Indian. Unfortunately in room dining wasn't up to par. I'm not too certain but in my opinion the room service app wasn't stable and ready for use. Extremely long waiting time, double order, order never received and etc. Looking forward to come back here for a better guest experience.

The hotel is really suitable for business trips and meetings. The Ballroom is nice and I love the meeting rooms next to the pool with natural day light. The pool view is also cool. The room is quite big for me but the panaromic view in room is fantastic. Just one thing I am not happy about is QR code for order in room service. It is not convenient as the idea. Took me a lot time due to sign in and out to order just a soup

Excellent hotel to stay at. Location is amazing. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and clean. Breakfast is great, add that to the reservation package. One thing that we did not like was the elevator system, the lobby is on the top floor (amazing view of the twin towers) In order for you to leave the room to get out of the hotel you have to take the escalator up to the lobby then down to the Ground floor, it is not possible to go directly room floor to ground. This is also the case when you want to go up to your room, up lobby, down to room floor. Overall, i love this hotel, if i was to come back to KL i would definitely book here again.
