The food was amazing! So good! I had the Sal's Original Combination which included a taco, a chile relleno, and an enchilada, with beans, rice, and chips and salsa of course. The service was decent. The only thing was that I asked for a cheese enchilda and I got served a ground beef enchilada. It was crazy busy so I did not say anything. It would have been a 5 star experience if it wasn't for that. I would however recommend this restaurant any anytime.

Shrimp taco & shrimp enchilada dinner is my go to favorite when coming here from Visalia. Worth the drive 😋👍 Chips & salsa are great while waiting for my food. Staff is very friendly. Always a great experience.

The food was really good. We live in Fresno. Definitely worth the drive. This is the Orginal Sal's, the food is even better than its Fresno location.

Been going here since I was a kid. Makes me happy when I’m passing through Selma for lunch…I can’t explain but it’s just better than the Fresno locations…maybe cause of my memories…

They have the best Mexican food ever. And the service is great and the prices are decent. Well worth every penny. The waiters are kind and never get out orders wrong. Love this place

Ordered to go food from this establishment on March 19 , 2023 and received unsolicited rude and inappropriate customer service when calling in about the order placed and picked up on a rainy Sunday. I addressed my concerns about some of my order and received no justification for inedible food. I am writing this review for my mother who’s great friends with the owner Carl and knows my whole family. Now due to the unbelievable attitude presented by an employee. We will no longer eat at sals Mexican restaurant or and establishments connected. I have evidence of the food not being to usual standard which upsets me because of how much we love the food. Thank you for your services , you catered my grandmothers funeral.

So much hype about this place and it was just ok. I had the carnitas my wife had The enchiladas and my son ordered all the flautas. The flautas were literally just giant taquitos…. The food was good but not great by any means. I’d eat here again but now I know what to expect. Since I’ve moved from LA to Fresno I haven’t had any great Mexican food. If anyone had any suggestions please feel free to drop a comment or message me.

We love Sal's and they have very good food and service. The only thing I wish they would do is season the chips and have a mild salsa to offer those who cannot eat the very hot salsa they serve other than that this place has really good food. If you have not eaten here before please give it a try.

The food was INCREDIBLE. We were all very pleased with our meals and even though it's a 30 minute drive for us, we will definitely be back. The shredded beef in my taco was the best I've ever tasted and the taco shell didn't fall apart and had a great consistency. Highly recommend!

Sal's is always a wonderful experience. The food and the atmosphere are great. I have been going here since I was a baby and a family gathering was always memorable when at Sal's. My favorite is always the Chili con Carne and you will never regret getting the Fancy Burrito. Thank you!

Really good food, and the best service I've had in a long time. Attentive and quick. The only thing I didn't love was how noisy it was, it was very hard to have a conversation with my friend. But it was a Friday during lunch hour, so it's to be expected at such a popular restaurant!

We were in Selma for work so we thought we'd try this restaurant out. Who doesn't like Mexican food? The place was a little crowded and the seating didn't help. I felt smooshed between tables. The service was ok. The chips are really good but they only give you little to go cups (rations) of salsa. Our food was hot. They don't serve hard drinks. Only wine based and beer. People love this restaurant. Try it for yourselves.

Food is good, it is perhaps my favorite Mexican food in Selma, the waiting time for lunch can be a bit much depending on the time you come in. The location is a bit hard to get to with many turns and it looks like the back of a residential area. Parking can be difficult sometimes but you can always park in the streets and walk to it, booths are comfortable, regular tables not so much, but outside of that, good food and good service, enough to make me want to come back. For lunch go in early as early as you can, 11am seems to be a good time, less crowded.

I hadn't been to Sal's in over a couple of decades but took my family there for the first time a few weeks ago. It was my wife our 9-year-old son and our 7 year old son and myself. We all ordered different menu items and every single one of us loved everything about our meals. The staff was very friendly and seated us very promptly even though they were packed. The atmosphere was really nice and down to earth and felt very homely because it was packed with other families dining there as well. The service that we received from the time we walked in the door up until the moment we were leaving was top-notch satisfactory above and beyond that even. We highly recommend this place if you are looking for some good authentic Mexican food, you absolutely cannot go wrong with Sal's, and as I told the waitress when we were leaving. They will definitely be seen a lot more of us. Thank you to the entire staff for making our first dining experience there together and amazing one

Recommended to come here from a college buddy. He hasn't hit me up in years and went out of his way to suggest. And for good reason. Food here was fuegoooo

Food was good but the waitresses are trying to add extra tip money into peoples bills. My order was $34.14 and the first waitress printed out my bill to sign as $50 , luckily I caught it while still there and they changed it, only problem is I added a $3 tip and the waitress added it as a $5 tip without my consent. So a bill which was supposed to total $34.14 totaled $39.14. CHECK YOUR BILLS and bank accounts.

A friend took me here for the first time and they were great! The food was good, I Highly recommend their chili verde burrito. I ordered a half and it came out as big as most other places whole burrito! Our server was awesome, she kept checking in on us and talking to use as if we were old friends, making us feel welcome and that we belonged here. I'll definitely be back!

My favorite Mexican restaurant in California. Family tradition. I get shredded beef tacos and my family usually gets the short rib!

First time eating here. Recommend by a friend. We were seated immediately and had our drinks and food order taken. Food was really good. I had the chile colorado with rice and beans. My wife had the chimiganga. Well done!

The staff is super friendly and greet you as you walk in. This place is always packed inside and in the parking lot. Wouldn't suggest having more than 10+ guest here since you'll wait 1hr to 1.5hrs. This is the original Sal's restaurant and the food is still the best... better than Bobby Salazar's (Which turns out to be Sal's brother). I've been eating here since I was younger and the food never fails. Awesome little diamond in the rough. 👍🏼🇲🇽🌮🔥
