Excellent Food. Exceptional Service. Rinjani Lighthouse Cottages is the perfect place to prepare for, or recover from, trekking expeditions in the region. In fact, trekking or no trekking, RLC is the ideal location for breakfast, lunch, dinner or any meal in-between. They offer an excellent menu with large serve sizes. The food is freshly prepared and every bite is enjoyable. The staff are delightful. The facilities clean and the over aesethical appeal of the venue rather special.

We stayed here at the start and end of our Mt. Rinjani trek. It is a great place to stay if you are doing the trek, and our guide company was able to pick us up and drop us off there. They have excellent hospitality. The coffee and free breakfast were good. The grounds are beautiful with green grass, flowers and butterflies. The room was nice, it is kind of like a bamboo treehouse. The walls are a little open so sound and bugs could come in, but there weren't many bugs at all and there is a mosquito net on the bed. The sheets weren't totally clean and there were some minor plumbing issues. However, having a hot shower, a warm bed, good food, and friendly service, far outweighed these problems, especially after the hike when we were exhausted.

The perfect place to stay before and after trekking. Warm showers, cosy beds and the best part was the food/drinks. We tried basically everything on the menu - all the portions were huge and delicious local food. And a good range of dessert options too, as well as great coffee. It was really appreciated to be able to order food at any time of day, and especially to get an early breakfast at 6:30am. The staff were really helpful and always around to answer any questions. The location is also very close to the waterfalls and the trek start point. I highly recommend this place!

The service staff were friendly & helpful, they always had a warm smile on. We were pleasantly surprised with a welcome drink. Bed was super comfortable & each came with a mosquito net. Hot shower was good & consistent.

I was actually very excited to sleep at the Lighthouse cottages because I saw some really nice pictures, videos and reviews. Although I don't usually write bad reviews, I think we left the place with some mixed feelings.. Plus Points: - Very friendly staff in the café - The aesthetics of the café and room are very nice. - Food and coffee are good. - Very close to the waterfalls Min Points: - They have a very serious problem with woodworms, both in the room and the restaurant. When we arrived in our room, the floor was already completely covered with frass , (so it also seems that the room was not really cleaned properly before arrival), same at some tables in the restaurant, and it even got in some of our food. - The rooms look nice but they are completely open. So no place to safely secure your belongings + a lot of insects in the room + you can hear everything from outside and if other guests are speaking in the room next to you, you can hear everything. - We stayed multiple nights so our room got pretty dirty with all the frass and feces of gekkos (?). They should either provide a brush at the room or maybe clean the room if people are staying more than one night. - Lastly, although the staff in the café was very friendly. I think the people that are managing the place are not friendly at all. They are there most of the time, but don't engage with their guests at all, a simple 'good morning' or 'hello' is not that hard and is also much more professional in my opinion. So I would say, go to the café and try some of the delicious food, but stay somewhere else to sleep.

I can confidently say this is my favourite place I’ve stayed at after 2 months of traveling! The rooms and common space are so lovely, spacious, and peaceful. Lots of greenery! We loved getting to know the co-owner, Taylor, and learning about his local coffee farm and mission. The location is perfect- 5 minute walk to waterfalls and ~45 minute drive to Pergasingan Hill. We even got to attend a traditional ceremony in the Bayan Village. The staff is so kind and made our stay exceptional. Highly recommend staying here and checking out their local coffee, food, and even products (funds go towards supporting kids in school). Thank you Taylor (and his amazing friend Sergei) and staff for making our last few nights in Lombok so special. We will be back sometime :)

A lovely spot with the best service. Food and drink served were incredible. Local kids playing in the open space. Rooms were basic, but had everything you needed. No air-conditioning, but fine when you are this high up the mountain already.

Nice place with cute rooms and good restaurant. Very lovely staff. A special mention for the fact that they collaborate with the women coop for the tours and also sell stuff made by the community. I felt quiet there!
