A orillas del Gambia, y aislado de la ya de por sí remota región de Kedougou, se encuentra este campamento regentado por Alpha y su equipo. Es un lugar excepcional para pasar varios días, disfrutando de las visitas a los pueblos Bedik, Bassari y Peul, haciendo caminatas y bañándote en cascadas, todo ello conviviendo con los geniales guías y trabajadores de Tako Mayo. Cabe destacar la labor comunitaria que se realiza gracias a los ingresos del campamento, con el Atelier en el que chicas de los pueblos de la zona viven y trabajan con el objetivo de formarse y evitar matrimonios forzados a temprana edad. Tanto Alpha como buena parte del equipo hablan español perfectamente. La comida es buena y abundante y hay cerveza. ¡Un imprescindible de Senegal!

Favourite place I stayed at during my time exploring Kedougou. Wonderful view of the nearby river Gambia, where it’s possible to go swimming. 10 min by road to Dindefello for exploring the waterfall. Best experience was the hike to the waterfall at Seygou. There were lots of chimpanzees to see !

Such a nice place, run by such nice people. Wonderful views of the river and the moon. Top location to visit the area, but also to hang, swim, walk and do nothing.

Great location and food. Lovely staff. Owner Alpha Diallo is purpose driven and uses camp revenue to fund girls education and professional development. Camp is close to Dendifelo Falls and on the bank of Gambia river. Highly recommended if you want to discover Kedougou region and support local communities. Value for money is good.

The most beautiful place I ever visited in Senegal next Gambia River shores . People are nice and deserve more visibility and support for all the efforts they undertake to educate young girls from surrounding villages! A mix of cultures from Fulanis, Batiks, Bassaries in Eastern Senegal. You rock !

Nous n'avons pas du tout aimé ce lieu peu convivial. Mis à part internet qui curieusement marchait, le reste etait laissé à l'abandon . Ce campement devait être le plus confortable et au final c'est celui qui était le moins entretenu. L'accueil était peu chaleureux. A éviter.
