Arulmigu Naganathaswamy Temple

Very famous temple for Naga Dosham Pariharam. People here come mainly who did not get married and not having child. Mainly people come here on Sundays at Raghu kaalam which is popular. Fridays also could see little crowd. Mainly Sundays much crowd will be there but it will move very fast. Young guys and girls used to come here with parents to do pariharam. Old ancient temple. Should visit for good vibes and a good future.

பேரையூர் நாகநாத ஸ்வாமி திருக்கோயிலில் ராகு, கேது தோஷங்கள் ஏற்பட்ட மனிதர்களுக்கு நிவர்த்தி கிடைக்கிறது, ராகுவால் ஏற்பட்ட தடைகளுக்கு திருநாகேஸ்வரமும், கேதுவால் ஏற்படும் தடைகளுக்கு கீழ்பெரும்பள்ளம் செல்வதற்கு பதில் , இந்த ஒரு தலம் இரண்டு நிவர்த்தி போக்க வல்லது. கோயில் முன் ஒரு குளமும், சிவனுக்கும் நந்திக்கும் இடையே சுனை ஒன்று அமைந்துள்ளது. இந்த நிலையில் பங்குனி திங்கள் மீன லக்கின நன்னாளில் மிருதங்க ஓசை கேட்கிறது. அதனால தான் இந்த இருக்கும் பேரையூர் என்று பெயர் வந்துள்ளது. பேரை( மிருதங்கம்) . சிவனுக்கும் அம்பிகைக்கும் இடையே முருகன் வள்ளி தெய்வானையுடன் மயிலுடன் காட்சி அளிக்கிறார். திருமணம், குழந்தைபேறு, தொழில், போன்று பிராத்தனைகள் வேண்டி கொள்ளப்படுகிறது. சோழர்களால் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட ஆலயம்.

Ancient temple with antique structurs. But opening time is 7.30 or later.

Mainly people come to end naga thosam....to marriage ...cool place bus available only 2 km away from temple.....but autos available from arch ...take water and go directly to temple for getting Pooja materials....don't stop in between

I wonder why this ancient temple is left so neglected. Sarpa Dosha parihara Temple , very unclean with rubbish thrown in every corner.

Peaceful and spiritually powerful place, especially known for the sanctums of Lord Naganatha Swamy. The temple attracts a good number of devotees, particularly on Sundays and during Rahu Kalam, so expect some crowd during those times. While the roads leading from the main road to the temple are in good condition, those depending on public transport may face some difficulty. However, autos are usually available nearby for pick-up and drop. On the flip side, the temple needs better maintenance. The pooja token charges feel quite high, and devotees are compelled or strongly encouraged to drop specific amounts at the Naganatha Swamy and Sivan sanctums, which may not sit well with everyone. With improved management and more focus on serving devotees than collecting money, this temple could be an even more divine and welcoming place.

One of the Best Raagu Poojai temple . Temple was old & needs to be renovated . It was so peace as we went on weekdays evening . The Poosari Was so kind . Explained everything . Abundant car parking available. Today even 3 Muslim Ladies Came & Worshipped . Must visit temple . Lot of Dogs & Monkeys will be there.

A very powerful temple known to relieve astrological issues related to Rahu, Ketu. Also known to remediate Sarpa Dosha, Naga Dosha, Kaalasarpa Dosha which usually causes delay in marriage, child bearing etc. Temple priests helped us to perform the pooja and explained us the significance of the temple patiently.

Peraiyur naganatha swamy temple one of the leading temple of hindus. All over tamilnadu people came here for thosam nivarthi. Opening time morning 6 to 12 pm then evening 4 pm to 8 pm. Easy to reach by bus from pudukkottai bus stand. Any time bus avalible to reach there.near to namanasamuthiram.only 5 km from there.

A temple located at about 13 kms from pudhukottai, which is famous for worshipping for Nagadosam. Worshipping the dieties during Raghu kaalam is recommended, as special poojas are done at the time.

Very nice temple. Very old but it needs some maintenance. Crowded on special days and Tue,fri, Sunday for ragu kalam. People used to come here for marriage parihara.

The temple opens at 6:00 a.m. but the main pooja (worship) only starts after 7:30a.m. All buses traveling en route to Ponnamaravathi will stop at Peraiyur, where you can find plenty of auto-rickshaws. If you plan to have an archanai (specialized offering), the cost for pooja items near the temple is a minimum of Rs.400. While the iyers (priests) are very friendly,but the staff at the Archana ticket counter can be a little rude. You should keep small change ready for gurudakshina (a voluntary offering to the priests)."
