We loved everything about our stay at the Four Seasons, from the huge breakfast buffet to the detail-oriented housekeeping. Even though it's been over a year since our stay, my family still constantly reminisces the hotel and refers to it as the gold standard when comparing it to more recent 5-star hotel stays. We stayed in a 2-twin-beds room, and it was beautifully designed with elegance, sophistication, and all the advanced modern tech. Of course, the hotel itself had a gorgeous interior. Housekeeping would leave treats for us each day and paid so mych attention to detail that they'd wrap our cords and place our messy jewelry/skincare in organizers they provided. The service from the front desk and bell boys were top-notch. One of them went out of the way to walk us to a restaurant relatively far away from the hotel when we asked for dinner recs. They were all fluent in English, and some also knew Mandarin. They would greet us with smiles, and we felt very at-home right when we entered the lobby of the hotel. The breakfast buffet is the most outstanding one I've eaten at out of the 5-star hotels I've stayed at. It was humongous with so many cuisines and delicious Korean options. I loved the array of banchan that paired perfectly with my porridge and kimchi jjigae. Again, it was beautifully decorated. We stayed at the hotel for nearly a week, and we didn't want to leave! We even joke that we'd return to Seoul just to stay at the Four Seasons again.

I had read the other reviews saying the service was bad. But I didn't know how bad until I stayed here. There of course are some great people that work here. But I would not recommend this hotel. Its so bad I am checking out a day early. Let me also note that the pool was at capacity, without even a seat to sit in or lounger or anyone to assist. The spa had no availability and as a side note the executive lounge is based on the room you book. So basically I had no access to the many amenities they claim on their site. So beware. I gave 1 extra star for the fact they were able to fo a early checking. (Which I called ahead requesting and no one ever called back or did anything proactive to help just basically said "we will see"). Lastly the room was very clean and well kept.

The bright, stylish rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows, including featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, the bright, stylish rooms include free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and espresso machines. Suites add separate living rooms and city views. Room service is available. There are multiple restaurants and bars, including a Tokyo-style sushi bar, Cantonese cuisine, and an Italian eatery. Other amenities include a gym, a spa, 3 indoor pools, and a business center and meeting facilities. Valet parking is complimentary.

One of my best stays at any hotel! It's my last day here after a week of work and a few days to relax and I'm going to miss it. Service at all levels has been some of the highest I've seen without being in the slightest way overbearing. Just had a long working coffee in the cafe and they brought us a complimentary dessert to try after our pastries (excellent!) were long gone. Fresh baked sweets in the room and a nice tea selection with a legit serving set made every night after a long day a peaceful one. The rooms are some of the most thoughtfully laid out I've ever experienced, super functional while also designed with a sense of calm. Never turned on the television once, just enjoyed the calm of the room. Room service was great for a late night snack and the cleaning folks are unreal. They even organized my spaghetti mess of charging cables with Four Seasons branded Velcro ties! When my wife came to join me halfway through the week the turndown service team started putting out two pairs of slippers instead of one! Such attention to detail I can't get over it. Can't wait to come back, thank you!

Remarkable, Stylish suites in a high-end 5 star hotel near gyeongbokgung Palace. I love the amazing city and mountain view. The best luxury hotel in Seoul. It has 3 pools, a gym, and a spa, plus restaurants with lots of seafood like lobster and bars but it’s close to the site of demonstrations. The swimming pool 🏊‍♂️ is one of the best in Seoul. Staffs are very friendly and ready to Welcome you with a smile. It was an amazing $1000 vacation with my dog in Seoul. 😎

Perfect for a uniquely Korean experience. Among the 5+ stars hotels in Korea, Four Seasons is easily in the top three due to its historical location, design and service. Every staff is extraordinarily attentive and professional. Some critiques are that the bath tissues could have been of higher quality, and the walls could have been more carefully maintained (scratches, dents).

Excellent hotel, very well located in Seoul, various amenities, beautiful spacious and quiet rooms. I got a room located at higher floors with a great view of the city. The personal is very professional, friendly and always available to serve you. Best in class! The hotel hosts 4 different restaurants, Japanese, Italian, Lounge and Buffet market located at floor-1. A rich and varied international breakfast is server at level-1. Accesses to the huge fitness centre and swimming pool are included in the booking price. Sauna and wellness center with extra charge.

Quality Four Seasons hotel with high quality accomodation and a great location. Service was good but with minor lapses particularly in the Executive Lounge. The staff however were very professional and engaging. Excellent gym and sauna plus outstanding restaurants and bars. Great location and views of the city and palaces.

Absolutely loved this hotel. One of the best Four Seasons we have stayed at. The hotel and the rooms are stunning. It's located in a great area. The staff was lovely and the breakfast buffet was the best I've ever had at a hotel. Highly recommend.

Room was very spacious and clean with up to date technology! All the staff was so warm and welcoming. Exceeded expectations and shoutout to the housekeeping team that did my room. I didn't manage to get any names, but coming back to the room everyday was so pleasant. I had my spectacles on the table (dirty) and I came back to see a piece of cleaning cloth beside it for my use. As I had to do some work on my laptop, the housekeeping staff also noticed that I didn't have a mouse pad and kindly provided me with one. It's really the small touches that count and make my stay so memorable. Good location means I can get to any places conveniently via public transport too! Definitely will be back.

Our stay at the Four Seasons in Seoul was simply perfect in every way. It was great to return after a long day to a luxurious and comfortable hotel full of impressive amenities and exceptional dining options. From fresh daily pastries to the sprawling buffet, we loved the food. The Michelin star Chinese restaurant was phenomenal. The hotel went above and beyond to prepare for our stay with balloons and private transport from the airport. We especially loved the swimming pool and fitness areas. The location is prime.

If Shilla Hotel is expressed as a classic or an old building, Four Seasons thinks luxury is more appropriate. I stayed in an executive room, and it felt good to be guided privately and kindly from check-in, and the afternoon tea and happy hour I enjoyed in the lounge after that were quite satisfactory. The bedding was quite soft, so I slept well, and the hotel's facilities were well-equipped, so there was no inconvenience in using it.

A fantastic corner room with lovely city views. Excellent and friendly service, great bathroom and facilities in the room. The room was spotlessly clean and well thought out. This is truly an excellent hotel. Seoul is a big city (with lots of traffic!) so the location will not be convenient for everyone but for us it was ideal. Concierge was helpful in arranging restaurant reservations and the online chat feature was quickly responded to. Room service was very good, prompt and tasty food. Yu Yuan restaurant was very good with a wide selection and tasty food. Akira Back (Japanese restaurant) was however very disappointing, all the dishes had an alcohol based sauce (we don’t drink) and as a solution they simply removed the sauce which rendered the dishes completely tasteless, we would have thought that at this standard the chef could have adapted the dishes in a suitable way - it was really a let down on what was meant to be the special night of our trip, unfortunately the friendly service could not make up for this. I would definitely recommend the hotel and all the staff were fantastic, but the restaurants need to be more accommodating to individual tastes and requirements

More like 3 seasons. The staff was really friendly, but our main issues were the menus were definitely not five-star. The breakfast seemed to be served from leftover menu items they had from prior day. The speak-easy was a trap. Overpriced, underwhelming food. There are much better bar options in the city. The room service menu offered overnight was horrible. There was nothing coherent available, just very spicy food and salad. No pizza or late night snacks that make sense, only dessert is tiramisu. The garden terrace was closed. When we asked for help getting a taxi back to the hotel, they were reluctant to help us solve the problem because there were protests going on. The area is not conveniently located for tourism.. it is more business centric. Everything was overpriced for South Korea and nothing like a 5-star four seasons property. The room was nice, but nothing out of this world. I did enjoy the lounge- they had good coffee and some ok a-la-carte items.

We have stayed in many four season hotels and this is one of our favorite. All four season hotels have great smell but somehow the Seoul location has the best smell. We’ve stayed twice in the past few years and both times, we had great experience. The rooms have great view. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. Staff are super friendly and polite. We also really like the Italian restaurant.

This is the best hotel in Seoul. Rooms are wonderful and the service is great. Breakfast buffet is amazing. Staff is nice and accommodating. I had previously stayed at the Park Hyatt Seoul when visiting Seoul but this will be our new hotel for visiting. Wonderful!

4 for the 4. Rooms are lovely. Spa is nice. Concierge could be more helpful and responsive. It’s an okay location if you want to be north of the river. It’s more commercial center close to palace. We spent more time south

The Four Seasons Hotel in Seoul are graced with a world class team that genuinely will make your stay incredibly pleasant, enjoyable and fulfilling. At all instances of interactions whether meals, room experience or other facilities, you are always greeted with a genuine smile, true care and professionalism. I have been a guest at the hotel many times per year over the last decade since opening, and it’s been a joy to see how consistently the quality of the experience deliver has been. (We had one major hiccup in the early years of opening, and it was eventually carefully addressed by the Hotel Manager at the time, and with amicable closure. ) To the FSHS team, if you read these, thank you for always taking so good care of me and my family. We consider the hotel our extra home in Seoul and we are grateful for the always warm hospitality. It means more to us than you probably realize. John and family.

As any other Four Seasons, this hotel is just fantastic in every way. It is very nicely located at a walking distance from some of the hot spots in the city, yet not in the middle of the very busy and noisy areas. It’s just perfect. The staff and service are great for sure. The rooms are very elegant and really spacious. The interiors of this hotel is beautifully done and it is so relaxing to your eyes. I would definitely choose it again when I return to Seoul. This hotel made our trip to Seoul even more memorable.

Had the pleasure of staying here for two nights on a business trip. The hotel itself is great, partcularly the fitness center/pool setup. Rooms are extremely nice. Staff was remarkable start to finish. One of the nicest hotels I've stayed at period. If I find myself in Seoul again, this is the place I'm staying.

FS Seoul will make your stay as luxurious and comfortable as possible. They will learn your name and greet you from various locations within the hotel. All the staff can speak English, so they are able to help you with any questions/requests. Facilities are top notch...we loved staying here!

We stayed 3 nights with our 4-month-old baby. Firstly I would like to thank the FS Seoul team for providing such memorable experience for us as the first hotel that my daughter ever stayed in her life. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly escorted straight to the room for in-room checkin - an experience we hadn't encountered at urban Four Seasons hotels since our stay at Four Seasons Cairo FR. There were some shortfalls in the arrangement for our private transportation but the concierge team handled the situation professionally. The only suggestion I would give to the management team is to allow food delivery workers to enter the property. One night, my Korean friend booked a nice dinner place (close to the hotel) for us. Unfortunately, the baby became fussy during the meal so my wife had to return to the hotel early without having a chance to eat. In an effort to help, my friend ordered some food for her to be delivered to our room. However, he was informed that the delivery guy was not allowed into the building, and the hotel staff didn't help the pick up. My friend and I were in the middle of the dinner but had to rush to hotel to meet the delivery guy who was kept waiting outside in the porte-cochere area! We felt so bad for the delivery guy. I believe that luxury hotels should not only prioritize their affluent guests but also show respect for the working-class who contribute to our society.

If you're seeking an unrivaled luxury experience, look no further than Four Seasons Seoul. From the moment you step foot in the hotel until the time of your departure, the staff treats each and every guest with utmost respect and dignity. They truly go above and beyond to make you feel valued. The hotel's grand entrance sets a welcoming tone, and the reception provides clear and helpful information. The room exudes luxury, seamlessly blending old-world charm with cutting-edge technology. Additionally, the hotel's prime location allows for convenient exploration of nearby grand palaces, all within walking distance. The surrounding area offers numerous outstanding Korean establishments, and the hotel staff readily provide excellent recommendations. Whether you're looking to indulge after a tiresome journey around Seoul or simply want to pamper yourself, this is the ideal hotel for a lavish 1-2 night stay.

This hotel has a superb in room dining service. Especially in very cold nights, in room dining service becomes very convenient. The service is prompt and the food is really flavourful. My favorites are chimaek (Korean fried chicken) and the kimchi rice. The selection of side dishes is impressive.

What was supposed to be a 3 night stay turned into a week. We loved staying here and had a chance to try all of the restaurant and bars. There’s even a speakeasy in the hotel! Dawn at the concierge desk was amazing, Eden the bartender and Irene at the Japanese restaurant went above and beyond. I don’t remember everyone’s names but we didn’t have one bad interaction here. Any requests we had, we just texted using the iPad in the room and a few minutes later, had what we needed. Great service, thoughtful staff and pretty close to a metro station. If we go back to Seoul this is where we’ll stay!

The hidden basement bar "Charles H." was excellent. Be mindful though that there is a cover fee of ₩10,000 and most of the cocktails price ranges around ₩25,000~29,000. Bottles are, ofcourse, much more expensive. Interior was nice, it had its special ambiance and loud music, but still be able to hold a lively conversation. A glass of champagne was given as a welcome drink with one canapé per person. Chips and olives were given as a snack to munch on. There was only one washroom per man and woman so you have to wait every time you want to go to the bathroom (or you can choose to use their bathroom outside of the bar in the basement lobby). Overall, all the staff were very nice and friendly.

I have nothing, however minor, to critique about this hotel. From start to finish every detail is handled to perfection. The service is incredible. The food is fantastic. Oul and Charles H are great bars. Employees go above and beyond in ever aspect. The Bedding and bed itself are so comfortable. Love the blackout sheets and amazing toilet (weird thing to comment on I know but an appreciated luxury nonetheless). The iPad is so convenient for ordering a snack to the room, changing a dinner reservation, or even Ordering an extra pillow . The turndown sweets were delightful. I felt spoiled beyond belief. Thank you for an experience we will never forget.

Best hotel breakfast buffet I had in a long time. Very fresh and healthy. The Japanese restaurant is delicious. Decent size pool for lap swimming. The Spa and Sauna with Korean treatments are also excellent.

Amazing hotel. Contrary to a few of the negative reviews, we had great service the entire time. They even gave us complementary use of the spa and an early check-in, which was great. We went to nearly every restaurant in the hotel and enjoyed all of them. We also got room service once which was very good and even no-contact (which is great when you're shy). The room itself was beautiful; great views of Seoul with floor to ceiling windows, comfortable bed, lots of room for storage and sitting down, TV had a large number of channels, and the fridge even had a little room for us to store a couple small things. The toilet even raised the seat by itself (okay, this was pretty over the top, but jeez!). The hotel is very nicely located, so you have quick access to the palaces, transit, and a number of nearby bars and restaurants. The sauna was awesome. Warning to those who are unfamiliar: Korean spas are completely nude and this one is no exception. They had a number of soaking tubs and steam rooms, and you can pay extra for a body scrub. It includes a large number of spacious and clean showers, a grooming room, and seating areas. Really recommended. We also got a massage, which was probably not the best one I've ever had, but still really good. I also thought their gym was really impressive; definitely the best hotel gym I've seen. So overall: yes it's expensive, but IMO it was well worth the cost, and we really enjoyed our stay.

It's the Four Seasons.... Always a safe bet to be the best hotel in any city you travel. I personally don't like the location since it is far away from active parts of the city, especially if taking a taxi.

Great hotel, very nice and spacious rooms. Pool and gym area was very well done. All the facilities you can expect. Staff was friendly throughout our stay. Location is convenient as well, close to the metro and many sightseeing within walking distance.

Not the 5 star hotel experience to expect compared to other prestigious five star hotels in other Asian countries or Europe. The room was nice but the service is far from good, mainly at the front desk where the person who checked us in was showing a lot of attitude for no reason. Nobody from the front desk even say high or anything at any time of the day, nobody direct you towards the right elevator when you check in (as there are multiple ones and it’s a bit confusing)… We also asked for a warm drink when we arrived as it was early in the morning and didn’t really get to sleep during our red eye flight and we were basically told we had to go buy one at the bar of the hotel. In any prestigious hotel, you don’t even have to ask , the front desk team always ask you if you want to drink anything as you arrive. Shoutouts to the room service, cleaning and luggage personnel who were extremely nice and helpful and made our stay a bit more enjoyable! Luggage crew could easily replace the front desk team as they are way more kind and friendly. In summary a very cold hotel, which seems more adapted for business than for vacation. Even though the room was nice and clean, I don’t recommend it, it’s not worth the money at all. Please lower your expectation if you book there thinking Four seasons is going to be a magical experience, it’s far away from what you probably have experienced in any other country.

Spent 2 nights in a deluxe king. Rooms are nice, but a pretty average affair for this level of hotel in comparison to industry peers. No point system, so hard to get an upgrade at FS. Hotel staff were excellent, Julio at reception and the lady who does the turndown service, didn't get name. The breakfast and dinner buffet at the market place is a bigger reason to stay versus the boring room. Staff at the restaurant were also excellent. Gym is decent as well.

Amazing. Very pricey but if you have the money to spend it is worth it. The service is impeccable in all areas (you get a cookie or pastry at the end of the day, yum!), and everyone speaks English. I enjoyed the nail salon as well as tours that were organized by the hotel. The rooms are incredible, they feel spacious, are extremely clean, and very comfy.

I absolutely love love love the four seasons in Seoul. When we arrived, we were welcomed with the nicest and most kind employees. When we checked in, they surprised us with an upgraded room, free breakfast every morning, and 100$ credit (Amex fine hotels and resorts perk). They were also able to easily schedule a covid test for us upon arrival into the country. Every single day the staff was so warming and welcoming. The hotel concierge was able to help us with finding things to do during the day and the best restaurants to eat at. One of the days during our stay just happened to be my birthday - the staff decorated our room and brought me the cutest little cupcake that said happy birthday!! Almost every employee in the hotel knew it was my birthday!! I just love personable experiences like that. Also, the breakfast buffet was probably the best food I have ever eaten in my entire life… it ranged from American breakfast food to Korean food like beef and dumplings! The gym and pool were also exquisite. I will definitely be staying here again when I come back to Seoul. Thank you Four Seasons for the best birthday ever and making our first trip to Korea unforgettable!!

When we were staying at this hotel in 2017, service was exceptionally good. This time, 2022 9/18-9/22, service quality was way worse compared to $$$$ hotel. Almost felt staffs were ignorant and annoyed by our asks. We stayed FS at Bali, Singapore, Paris, USA and never felt this kind of bad service. Definitely we will not come back to this FS at Seoul. Totally this hotel is going worse and worse.

Pros: The front desk staff speaks fluent English so it was very easy to communicate our needs and questions. The staff was also very friendly in general. The room has a variety of convenient designs, such as, storage space and functional surfaces, but does not feel crowded. I like the closet space. The location is very convenient and easily accessible. The gym is amazing with gyrokinesis and Pilates machines along with new technogym facilities! Cons: There are gaps around the shower door. The fridge opens like a drawer and the height can be limiting when you want to put taller bottles in.

I didn’t actually stay here but I wanted to leave a review for the hotel staff, especially William Hyun(?). We actually booked to stay at another hotel but due to our late arrival, the closest stop we got to was the Four Season, and after defeatedly trying to get an Uber or Taxi, I went into the lobby to ask for their help and Willian at the front desk and his team GRACIOUSLY helped us called a cab and with all our luggages. I can’t express how thankful I am towards the kind staff, their service really is amazing for someone not even staying at their hotel. Amazing service and hospitality!

Can never go wrong with the Four Seasons, was close to the main palace and gardens and easy to get everywhere by subway. $60 cab ride to/from airport, don’t miss going to the spa and book a Korean scrub! Also a very cool Siena easy style bar/club in the evenings is there if you ask, it’s hard to find! Breakfast was 8/10 and not included like other hotels normally offer.

Amazing breakfasts with plenty of choice of both Asian and European food. Great pastries. Very good rooms with plenty of space and well equipped. Excellent gym with lots of equipment. In fact it’s a full scale gym frequented by locals, not just a regular hotel gym. Sauna is also great. Service is a bit slow and often there was some misunderstanding, because even though the staff speaks English, their speech is not clear. Cocktails in the bar are not good.

Amazing stay here at Four Seasons Hotel Seoul. The front desk receptionists were really warm and helpful. As we arrived in Seoul early in the morning and had to stay in the hotel while waiting for our PCR test result, they expedited our check in so that we could wait comfortably in our room. Elmo who brought our luggage up also gave us a tour of our room. Excellent service by the team at Four Seasons. Hope to be back soon!

Incredible staff who take the time to learn your name, preferences, and needs before you ask. All of the restaurants knew our drink orders food preferences, etc before we even needed to ask. Each time we entered the hotel, we were greeted by name by almost every member of the staff, from the valet, to the hotel manager. Housekeeping took incredible care of our clothing which needed to be laundered, and kept our room tidy (we are admittedly a bit chaotic away from home) This has been hands down our favorite hotel stay ever, and we would come back for the service alone.

Front desk and cleaning staff are extremely polite and helpful. 5 stars for them. The facilities themselves are 4.5 stars. The restaurants are very average. I’d normally rate 4 stars. But I used their laundry service. 4 kg of laundry, basic things like tshirts, sweatpants, socks, underwear. 228,000 krw. $200+ USD. For a single tiny load of laundry that was returned the next day. I fully expect a high price for laundry service, especially at a “5 star” hotel or resort. Industry standard is less than half of this price. Something like 100,000 krw? Sure. Even that is expensive, but more understandable. Absolutely ridiculous. I’m writing this on day 2 of a week long stay and have already decided I’m going back to Hyatt/Ritz/etc at this price point.

Such an awesome experience at this hotel. By far our favorite property we have stayed at. The staff was absolutely top notch efficient and welcoming our entire 2 night stay. We booked the premier corner room and were very impressed by the accommodation. Although expensive we were welcome with amenities immediately. The breakfast for 60,000 won per person was high level for a buffet and the staff was exceptional at supporting any request we had during our stay. Will definitely be back but next time we will book a suite overlooking the palace. Such an amazing place to stay while in Seoul if your budget can manage.

The stay is only worth it (in my opinion) if you opt for the palace view. During my stay, my room was located on the top floor, and the view was absolutely stunning. I found the bed to be quite comfortable and had a great night's sleep. Although I didn't have the chance to explore all the amenities, I did spend some time at the pool, and it was satisfactory. However, I was a bit surprised to learn that there was an additional fee for the Korean sauna. Considering the high cost of the room, I would have expected this to be included or reserved for premium rooms. In terms of breakfast, it was satisfactory but nothing extraordinary. While there were many options to choose from, I found some of the flavors to be a bit bland.

By far the best hotel in Seoul. I would stay at no other place. The rooms are of impecable quality and staff are very warm. Highly recommend an advanced booking at Charles H (their speakeasy bar) well before arrival, and try their Dolsot Bibimbap and LA Kalbi either in room service or at Maru on the G/F. For breakfast be sure to try FourB bagels a short walk away. Airport bus 6002 is the most convenient way to get to/from the hotel. Wish they saved more seats at their bars for hotel guests but I can understand they are popular places to visit for both locals & tourists alike.

Excellent luxury hotel. Service was amazing from all staff I've encountered. Amazing location. Walkable to major tourist locations. Great amenities. 1) Restaurants - some restaurants on site need reservations way in advanced. I was not able to go to one because all the weekend dinner reservations were full. They are pretty high quality and popular and non hotel guests all dine there frequently. 2) Pool - I have mixed feelings about the pool. The facility is amazing. It has the sauna and spa options as well as the swim lanes. If you have kids - they're amazing. If you're looking for an actual lap swim experience, it may not be ideal depending on when you visit. There are 3 lap lanes but only one was a designated lap swim lane. Other 2 were 'free for all'. There were many kids with families having fun, which is fine but not ideal for swimmers looking for a calm workout experience. Note, there are kid-free times after 8:30 pm so it might be better then.
