Awful experience. If you are a solo woman/person especially, I would steer clear of this place at all costs. My partner and I booked a private room- the smell of sewer gas was so strong in the bedroom/bathroom, the sink drained all over the floor, and the walls were moldy and dirty. The lights in the hallway were left off, and the owner Mr. Kim’s weight lifting bench was in the kitchen. Very creepy and unsettling. We turned around and left within 15 minutes. The owner became very hostile and aggressive and almost immediately called the police on us when we told him that the room was dirty and we didn’t want to pay for the full 4-nights stay, and that we were finding other accommodation. We WERE however going to pay the deposit and the first night, even though we turned around right after entering, and the cancellation policy was only the first night’s fee for same day cancellations. I had seen some negative reviews about the owner’s bad character or reservation issues but dismissed them- I wish I hadn’t. Fortunately we found another hotel in the area that night after wandering around at 10:30pm. The area itself is good, so I’d suggest another property in the same area. The experience was traumatizing, quite frankly.

A cozy little hostel in a nice lane very close to insadong Market. The host is very welcoming and helpful. The room and bathroom were very clean and tidy. The rooms r small but it's good for short cozy stays. Rooftop lounge is also nice.

Good value, clean room and breakfast area. Breakfast is included. A good spread of choice for breakfast, including toast, jam, Nutella, salad, boiled egg, or cook yourself a bowl of noodles. The owner is very kind. The roof has a good view. The location is close to metro and bus stations. Lots of good shops and restaurants around.

The place is a absolute no. Cluttered and untidy. The beds are as if you were to sleep on concrete. Cat just crawling all over the place. Bathroom very dirty. Room tiny. I mean tiny. You can’t put two bunk beds in a closet and call it a bedroom. Host very rude and abrupt, not welcoming at all which is shame!!

Good: - Friendly people and a special thank you for the young lady who went quite far to help us purchase a SIM card. - Good breakfast, we were happy to see greens and my wife was particularly fond of the waffles. - The towels were changed on a daily basis and overall the hostel was clean. - Excellent location If ever in Seoul again we would try to stay again at that hostel, I think it sums it up rather well Not so good: - The room was cramped, put a couple of backpacks and you are done. But we knew about it, and yet don't regret our choice.

We had an AMAZING time at this hostel. Helen, Mr. Kim and Uni made us feel so at home the minute we walked in! Everything was super clean and well organized. Facilities were great for the price. Would definitely recommend to a friend! Very close to Anguk station in a nice area. The rooftop is really nice to relax as well. Thank you guys for a great four days!

love the location of this place. I was please that it was in the heart of everything. If u are planning on backpacking this place is great for its easily accessible with bus and subway station. Helen is great. Also as a tip remember to look at the number of the exit because the subways got multiple exits and it is important to plan ahead and look at the exit numbers to avoid further walking. I found that asking Helen for suggestions made my life easier while travelling in Korea but i had a blast. I will definitely comeback and stay in this place again.

I loved this hostel! I felt really at home. The location is perfect, there's much to see in the neighbourhood and the metro station is close by for if you would like to visit other parts of Seoul. I was happy that breakfast was included too. It was also nice to wind down on the roof terrace. But my favourite part of this hostel was the people, it's a great place to stay at if you want to meet other travellers and maybe even explore the city together!

Mr Kim and his cat are very sweet! I will miss this place even just for that. Breakfast is included and very good, and location is very convenient (subway, shops, and restaurants nearby). Rooms are very basic but do the job, we had no issues. Also the rooftop terrace is very nice. Cozy atmosphere where you can have dinner with friends and even hang your clothes up to dry. I was a bit sad to leave by the end. 😆

Nice, cozy hostel in the center of Seoul, easy to reach from metro and bus stations and plenty of stuff to do with Insadong as a starting point. Breakfast with the other guests is a nice way of connecting and the host Mr. Kim is super nice 😊

The hostel is very well located near top attractions such as palaces, bukchon hanok village and in the busy street of insadong. you can stroll and buy souvenirs because the street is strewn with tea rooms and restaurants. Mr. Kim is welcoming and immediately puts you at ease. I enjoyed my stay in this hotel

Awesome hostel within walking distance of the metro, the Gyeonbukgung Palace and museums (great for history and photoshoots), and Ikseondong Hanok Village (beautiful streets full of super cute cafes and shops). The room was very clean and had everything we need, and Mr Kim was helpful.

Rooms are older and a little cramp. But hence why the really reasonable price tag, i would still say its good value for money if upu set your expectations right. Host is super friendly and the location is central to alot of sights.

I had a great stay at this hostel. I am an older person that have stayed in hostels for the last 40 years in 50 countries. This hostel is special starting with the owner Mr Kim and the incredible receptionist Stella. The place is super clean, they make your bed daily (I have never seen this elsewhere), the shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, towel, are supplied. The breakfast is very good, eggs, juice, coffee, tea, yogourt juice, jam, peanut butter, prepared by the owner. It is possible to use the stove to cook an omelet or eggs if you want. There is no fridge for the guests. There are 2 fridges but it is for the staff only. That is a negative, something to improve. I used a 4 bed dorm, the room is very small, there are plugs for electronic devices attached on each bed. The location is worth 5 stars, close to many sites reachable by foot. The rooftop is reachable using a steep ladder. Fantastic view of the city and a mountain closeby in the evening. Voilà the review from the old man Pierre. I loved staying there.

Great place to stay near to Gyeongbokgung. Located in a quiet alley but surrounded with many restaurants and souvenir shops. The Anguk station just within a few steps from hostel. The breakfast was luxurious for hostel standard. everything was clean, they even made the beds and changed towels daily. Free of use the washing machine. And the staff was very friendly.

Great place in the best part of Seoul for tourists. Rooms are clean and well maintained, and at a reasonable price. Nice breakfast provided. The owner Mr. Kim and his staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for first time visitors or long-term residents.
