Probably
the
best
consumer
market
for
anything
under
the
roof,
yet
made
famous
by
numerous
food
bloggers
and
TV
programs
to
introduce
the
markets'
Korean
exotic
and
delicious
street
food.
To
the
uninitiated,
blood
sausages,
marinated
raw
crabs
and
pig
face,
pig
skins
and
trotters
are
must
haves
among
the
crispy
pancakes.
But
the
real
rite
of
passage
has
to
be
the
Yukhoe
Tangtangi
육회낙지탕탕이.
There's
even
a
Michelin
store
selling
this,
didn't
know
Michelin
invigilators
can
be
adventurous
too.
Fresh,
Raw
beef,
unlike
the
French's
Tartare,
is
only
lightly
marinated
in
soy
sauce,
and
top
over
with
freshly
(still
swimming)
baby
Octopus
tentacles,
some
bean
sprouts
and
an
egg
yoke.
I
was
also
given
golden
sesame
sauce,
bean
sauce,
raw
garlic
and
green
chillies,
a
bowl
of
peppery
beef
soup
and
nori
wrappers.
The
beef
was
presented
in
thinly
cut
tiny
strips,
fresh
with
a
light
fragrance
and
not
gamey
at
all,
smooth
down
the
throat
with
the
raw
yolk
mixed
in.
The
octopus
tentacles
were
obviously
very
fresh,
chewy
and
tasty.
Sort
of
like
eating
Ika
sashimi
but
a
lighter
taste
since
this
is
Octopus.
A
few
ways
to
consume
this,
eat
it
as
it
is,
dip
in
bean
sauce
then
chase
with
the
condiments,
or
have
it
wrapped
in
the
crispy
nori.
Seem
the
wrapped
up
method
works
best
as
otherwise,
the
clingy
tentacles
tend
to
stick
to
your
teeth
and
tongue,
or
worse,
back
of
your
throat
with
its
suckers.
Quite
a
delicacy
here,
and
I
must
say
it's
an
acquired
taste.
Try
it!
