if you are on budget here are some tips. The VAT rate in South Korea in 2023 is 10%. - To get the VAT refund, just show your passport at the cash desk, but you have to spend 30,000 Won to get it. Around 5 p.m. the store applies 20% reductions on fresh products, such as take-away meals or cuted fruits boxes. - There are also discounts in the dairy products, those that are close expiration dates. - You can leave your suitcase at the entrance to the supermarket, it's free for the first 3 hours, there are also lockers for your handbags.

Lotte Mart's first floor features a vast supermarket, with all kind of souvenirs, while the second floor houses diverse shops like Daiso and Pokémon, offering a variety of souvenirs options for tourists. Its connection to Seoul Station adds convenience for last-minute shopping.

have a lot of things you can get from there. i bought face mask, thinking it is cheap, as it was on sale, but not really! some places are cheaper than them! due to convenience. it is the best place to get stuff as they stocks so many things and chilli! the fruits are expensive but look good. we spent ₩130000ish and the cashier able to let us have 'duty free'. she asked for my passport and the total reduced. cant remember how much as i was super confused and dont understand what she said. just know that we saved money. the place is easy to find but there are a lot of escalators from the train station.

They have pretty much everything I've been looking for in Korea. A variety of snacks and facial masks. Love the section of HBAF and the seaweed. They always have good promotion of products. The staff in Lotte mart is so friendly and very helpful.

Tourist fav. Literally they buy by cartons. There's diff brands section, Innisfree, Tony Molly, Saem and even a daiso inside. I skipped the daiso as there is a larger one outside near the Seoul station. Daiso takes up too much time. There is a place to sit and eat. Server speaks English, Mandarin and Japanese. Their set meal is not bad, noodles to get 3 gyoza free. Got a bundle meal, rice + noodles + juice for 9000W. Photo and video inside review. A point to note, the sales ajumma who sells banchan, when u tell her u want certain weight, she will likely exceed it and later tries to give u some free. If u only want to buy some to taste, tell her to repack it. I took it, coz heavier means I eat more too. Only sampled what I want and bought it. Try don't sample too many, when u don't buy ... u get colours from the sales lady. Big selection of local Korea daily items. I bought masks, spam, instant noodles, some sauces, tea of all kinds, drinks and etc etc. I had a small trolley full too. Came twice. Place closes at 12am. For tax refund, u can do it at the store. Pay first, the go to their counter at the side of entrance, if refund by card, will take a couple of hours later to reflect. Very easy. Like it when u need not go airport to refund. No point tax refunding at the airport if ur sum is not huge. About a 2percent refund only for the hassle. Supermarket or places who can refund on the spot is worth the experience if the Q is not long when ur items is not that costly♻️ Above 30k won can tax refund Above 75k won, must show item at custom🈶️. Level 2 and 3 is not that popular. Some toys, some fashion, some Perez

2023 Oct. update: Lotte Mart has updated its interior and layout, making it very bright and easy to navigate. Products are easy to find, and the dining area on the first floor is centralized. You can also leave your luggage at the front desk service area, and there are paid lockers available in the middle section of the first floor

One of the biggest mart I've been to. It has everything from packet snacks to fresh produce such as live mussels, crabs, fried chicken, side dishes anchovies, seaweed, biscuit snacks, chocolate , almond cereal etc We spent around 2 to 3 hours here, and if you get hungry, they have a few food stall inside selling cooked food. The usual tteobbeokki, sundae, pork dumpling, gyoza, noodles , cheese ramyeon, coffee, sikhye etc The prices for some snacks are comparable to outside shops too. Didn't check but saw some snacks that are priced similarly as compared to shops in other streets. The ahjumma staffs selling food are also very friendly.

Large hypermarket right near Seoul Station. Despite the large size, it is run very efficiently, with staff everywhere to help out and quick cashiers too. The place is very clean. Good variety of snacks, cosmetics, and alcohol available too.

Good options for prepared food and items to cook at home. The have other items, like alcohol that is super cheap compared to restaurants. Great location and prices are fair. Sales people in aisles can be pushy with products.

This is the place where you buy for your snacks to bring back. Happy place for me. Buy 100,000Won, you can get a T-money card as a gift.

I always stop by when I arrive back in Seoul statIon. This is a hypermart so has everything you need! The huge selection of food with countless tasters for you to try before you buy. I particularly love the freshly prepared food section as they are delicious and reasonably priced. If you come here late, you can grab them at a reduced price, what a bargain! There are sections within the store selling products from other shops such as Daiso, clothing, cosmetics, HBAF etc A lot of people come here to buy stuff home, if you are foreign, bring your passport as you can claim back on VAT at the special till for an immediate refund to save yourself having to claim at the airport. Just be sure to spend the minimum amount to be eligible. There were some issues using Apple Pay at the self checkouts but apparently Apple Pay is not widely used in Korea so stick with cash or credit cards.

Big supermarket I have ever been in Seoul, so I visit there every time when I go to Seoul. They are good for groceries and can do TAX REFUND right away, very convenient. If you go, don’t forget to bring your own groceries bag. They have fresh food and some gourmet as well.

Best supermarket. Even the cooked food were pack nicely with a good amount of choice for you to choose. You can find almost everything here. P.S You will see a lot of tourists here in this Lotte supermarket, with a trolley 🛒 full of snacks. I think I saw the most was a brand name ZERO. Do try it out if you are a snack or sweet tooth lovers.

Came here to buy k snacks as they have tax refund for tourists. However, their prices may not be as competitive, compared to the mini marts located around the city. Went when they were undergoing renovation, so could only eat at the small eateries in the store like gimbap and ramen (food court closed). My advice would be to bring a luggage there so you won’t have to carry your goodies back. There are small beauty cosmetics stores at the entrance like innisfree, holika, saem, etc.

Lotte Mart Seoul Station is really big and has so many stuff. I easily spent 2 hours there just wandering around. It is also a good place to buy sweets and souvenirs.

My wife wanted to buy some quality Korean seafood back to Hong Kong. On Jan 15, 2023, my wife, our elder daughter and her boyfriend and I came. We bought to our hearts content and had to deposit our stuff back to the hotel before visiting other places.

Best place for late night shopping - open till midnight. At around 11.30pm, they will start playing announcements for you to check out and everyone will rush to level 2 checkout counter. Usually level 3 counter is empty by this time, so going up will ensure a quick checkout :)

The cafe in the middle of the meat aisle is surprisingly good. Everything is made fresh in front of you and my meal was so good. I'd recommend visiting here even if only for something to eat.

Hypermarket and big! Wonderful place to shop for local food and supplies! I also got my facial masks here at very good price! We came here three times in nine days to shop, shop and shop! A very popular place for locals and Chinese tourists. We like the yummy bakery the most! Tax refund can be done at the cashier check out points but do remember to bring your passport. The supermarket also has cartons and tapes available for packing your trophies! Very thoughtful!

3rd July 2022 got some fresh fish and vegetables parking free on 30 minutes. A lot of ramen choices also electric goods. Update 23rd November 2019 Use to be a good costume care but not anymore. Since they face a lot of tourists they attitudes to service change, staff at the food samples booths or cashiers, it’s not pleasure for shopping anymore. The supermarket on the 2nd floor there is many Korean products you can buy as a gift. I love fresh organic strawberries from ORGA shop very tasty. Noodle King was good, We try a shrimp dumpling noodles and hot white noodle set. The other shop Buk-chon-son-mandu (북촌손만두).The dumplings soup they use beef broth the taste was so so and the cold noodles it quite spicy taste okay.
