I
signed
up
for
the
Pablo
Picasso
Coffee
Cupping
class
at
RM50
per
person
that
comes
with
a
free
voucher
of
RM50
for
the
purchase
of
items
from
the
Mister
Coffee
shop
after
the
class.
There
were
ten
participants
who
attended
the
class
at
3pm
until
around
4.45pm.
The
class
was
conducted
by
Wayne
Kua,
a
barista
and
coffee
ambassador
with
Mister
Coffee.
After
the
brief
self-introduction,
we
were
briefed
where
the
three
main
types
of
coffee
beans
were
planted,
as
shown
in
the
world
map.
We
were
taken
to
experience
ten
types
of
arabica
beans
from
around
the
world.
All
beans
were
medium
roasted.
We
first
smell
the
ten
types
of
beans,
followed
by
further
smelling
when
hot
water
around
ninety
plus
degrees
was
poured
into
the
cups
of
beans
for
about
four
minutes.
We
were
then
given
a
board
to
score
the
taste
of
the
brewed
coffee.
It
was
an
interesting
cupping
experience,
although
the
taste
can
be
significantly
different
when
brewed
with
an
espresso
machine.
After
the
class,
we
took
a
group
photograph
after
each
participant
was
given
a
lapel
pin
to
commemorate
the
event.
I
then
bought
the
world
most
renowned
Jamaican
Blue
Mountain
coffee
beans
(150gm)
at
RM180
with
the
RM50
voucher
that
comes
with
a
nice
wooden
box.
Wayne
obliged
to
make
a
cup
of
espresso
with
the
displayed
Jamaican
coffee
beans,
but
the
brew
failed
and
was
discarded
due
to
the
grinder
needing
recalibration
since
the
beans
were
not
grinded
sufficiently
fine.
Next
time,
pehaps.
