This restaurant was recommended to me by a local. Nice food and a great service. I liked the pastas a lot. The fish was lacking a bit of taste. Although in a very touristic city, the prices are still decent.

The restaurant is lovely, right in the heart of Marina di Pietrasanta — well-presented, clean, and with warm, friendly staff. We had spaghetti with clams and seafood, both of which were very good. Portions weren’t huge, but fair for the price. The second courses were less impressive: our mixed grilled seafood was overcooked and disappointing, especially considering the cost. The wine, however, was excellent. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and would recommend it, with the note that the pasta was the highlight.

Real good antipasti. Burrata with anchovies. Big portion. Other antipasti dishes around us also looked really delicious. Primi penne con pesto was also very tasty. The secundi was a little less tasty. The mixed grill of seafood contained squid, prawns, shrimps and cuttle fish. Unfortunately one prawn and one shrimp still had the intestinal tract inside. The others were cleaned good. Loved the fact they also had small bottles of wine on the menu (375ml instead of 750ml). Service was really good. Despite of the busy night the waiter and waitress were very kind and attentive. We got offered a digestive after paying the bill. Prices are average.

My number one destination in Tonfano. I have been eating at this restaurant for over 30 years and the food is consistently good. Not fancy just good quality ingredients, cooked well. The staff have always been excellent and move at speed around the dining area but you never feel rushed. Can be difficult to get a table so book in advance at the weekends.

We went there two days in row during our stay 3 nights in Pietrasanta. Every night full , Definitely need to reserve table Very good seafood. Highly recommend. I am a small eater, and they can make you half portion which is very good. I wish all other restaurants could do this as well. One of the waiter that served us is very funny guy.

Food was not good. Prawns had barely any meat in them, veal (pictured) was very unappealing. Side dishes for main course arrived with starters, long gap between starter and main course (so long that we were offered coffee and dessert!!) Restaurant was busy and people were reserving tables for the following evenings so maybe we just ordered badly? Staff were friendly enough and gave us little knife and fork for the baby and washed up her baby plate and bib for us which was very nice. But we won’t return for the food.

We came here for dinner because it looked good and we trusted the rating. It’s really a shame to reserve and come for dinner and not be able to order 2 main courses because it’s done for the night or because it’s a speciality of the Sunday night (we were there on a Sunday night), you apparently have to pre-order to eat. Food was ok, service too but still a bit weird to bring one of the main together with the appetizer we were sharing. Overall, not the experience I expected for a place you can’t come to without a reservation!

We had dinner at Trattoria da Carlino two out of the three nights we stayed in Tonfano, and it quickly became a favorite for the whole family. The restaurant is small and always busy, so we highly recommend booking a table in advance. The food was delicious, with flavorful dishes and great desserts. Despite the crowd, the service was excellent – fast, friendly, and attentive. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it perfect for both families and romantic evenings. Everything was clean and well maintained, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality. A special thanks to Sandro who made the experience even more enjoyable for us. We will definitely be coming back

Better to always book it in advance, my personal favorites from Trattoria are pastas, all the sauces are delicious!

I enjoyed a wonderful seafood ravioli dinner tonight. The staff was friendly and efficient too. The prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend a dinner here.

This was one of the most disappointing meals I've had in a long time. First the staff were relatively inattentive to us and didn't bring us basic things like bread and water while tables around us were being served. Some of our dishes had visibly less food than the exact same dishes being served to other customers. We also found fish skin in our vegetable dish which wasn't supposed to have any seafood whatsoever. This is a tourist trap restaurant and I would never recommend it to anyone. I could tell that the clams were frozen and didn't have any flavor even though we were on the beach.

Amazing local cuisine and fantastic service. Huge thumbs up for the very nice staff! Highly recommended.

We have been going to Carlino regularly for over seven years when on holiday and have never been disappointed, Daniel and Sandro are so friendly, the food is always fresh and hot , I can not recommend the restaurant enough but make sure you book as it's always busy.
