This place was planned for me as a surprise. I had no idea where I am going to, etc. But my friend knows what I like and this very atmospheric and authentic restaurant was absolutely great choice. I liked the the thematic design - reminder of the old good (bad) times. A very large collection of very historic pieces, from the photos, newspapers up to old radio, TV or military stuff. We came for a lunch and also our choice of food was great, well done and tasty. Same as the beers and of course - rakija. 😋 Finally, I have to mention that the staff is very friendly, helpful and take the best care of you. 🥰 HVALA!! And see you soon again! 😊

We were recommended this place and saw amazing reviews online. However, even though Serbian food is incredible, the food in this restaurant is nothing special. It was too salty as well. Some dishes come with fries but since I don’t like them I asked not to put any, they still added them. Also, we don’t drink alcohol so we wanted some tea (it’s freezing) and they didn’t want to serve us tea due to: “the live music started so we don’t do hot drinks anymore, only alcohol”… that’s what the waiter said. So the service is so whatever. Earlier and the other days we went to an authentic Serbian local restaurant and it was so delicious, big portions and better prices with the best people serving. So this is just too commercial. The restaurant we went to is called: TO JE TO. I am a very picky customer, I’m happy I came here to try it but not coming back.

Very nice and interesting place. I'd rate it 4.5 will go with 4 for few reasons. Food was really good but there are few places with better food. Atmosphere is definitely super cool here. Service took a bit of time but waiters were pretty friendly too.

You rarely can find such a gem. A place where everything and everyone screams authenticity. I recommend this restaurant if you want to experience the essence of Serbian culture, so far one of the most welcoming countries I’ve ever visited. As soon as you sit on the table, a waiter will bring you a shot of their local alcohol, completely on the house, as a welcome treat to make you feel appreciated. The food is local, tasty and with big portions. The prices are very honest. They have live music almost every evening with guitars and voice, very nice and very passionate. It’s a place where you can still feel human, none is going to judge you, none is expecting anything from you. They are genuinely nice, to the point that they came to offer us another drink on the house before leaving. This is the treatment that leaves you with good mood and willingness to come back to this place! I 100% recommend if you’re a tourist to visit this restaurant. And yeah, the location is very politically driven, peculiar and of impact, Lenin included😂

Very nice place. I ate veal soup and pilaf. Big portions, small prices and tasty food. Reminded me of polish milk bars.

We only came here for its interior design and got what we were looking for. We got cevapi it was good but i had better ones in Belgrade - both taste and price wise. My brother got the sesame chicken when i asked he told me it was “edible” - too dry and cold. In the evening the place has live music from what I am told but inside is small , I cant imagine the crowd

if you arrive after 6pm, be sure to make a reservation in advance. a dress code is required. the taste of the food unforgettable... the prices are reasonable🥰

Great authentic food and for a very reasonable price. Live music and some free shots of the local spirit. The waiter spoke English and they accept card, so great for tourists. Cannot recommend enough if you want a lovely Belgrade evening. We did reserve a table (for Sunday night) but it didn’t get busy till 7:30pm.

This place was amazing! They welcomed us without a reservation at 7 pm on a Wednesday. Our server gave us 4 free shots unprompted and recommended some amazing dishes. The vibes were immaculate. Highly recommend for any looking for cheap, delicious food and good ambiance.

This is a good place to take kids or anyone who is interested in history. It opens so many topics for discussion everywhere you look around. The food is good and traditional with average prices for Belgrade these days. The best option is to ask what was cooked today as daily special. The staff was friendly and helpful. If you come at right time you can end up being surrounded by the actors from the kids theater which is just around the corner (our kid was so excited as we just watched a play before going to eat something). You might consider coming here also without kids - it is a good place to join your friends to discuss where the world is going these days :) The only downside is smoking inside, but in Belgrade you need to accept it until it becomes banned (hopefully soon).
