Really nice dim sum. Amongst all the dim sum restaurants I’ve tried so far, I find this restaurant is the best so far. All dim sum dishes I ordered are nice. Teochew style glutinous rice siew mai, Loh mai Kai, Chives dumpling with XO sauce Pork & black truffle bun (🤤) Baked soft crusted char siew (🤤) Charcoal custard bun (🤤) Yum yum 🤤

Food was above average (had to send a dish back overly salty) but tableware is shocking dirty! Existing bowls and plates has dirty black spots or stains. Even the supposed new ones from the cupboard were worst! The employees simple do not care enough to clean them. Even raised feedback to the local Chinese supervisor but show little concern nor willingness to check and get it highlighted. For a proper Chinese restaurant at high prices, the cleanliness is unacceptable.

This restaurant is pretty decent in Cheras area. Oriental restaurant can’t go wrong for sure l. Came here for dim sum and they tasted pretty good. Been for a few dinners here too and the dishes were tasty! Overall will recommend people to come although the price range is on the higher end. So be prepared to pay a bit more over here.

Our goto dim sum restaurant in Cheras. The dim sum was good. And selection was wide. The noodle and rice were nice too. Weekends and PH, better make reservations. Sometimes they don't allow reservation (eg Merdeka day), only walk in. So you need to wait in the queue. The hall was HUGE, and it is perfect for events and weddings.

I had my wedding in this restaurant. My wife and I like the spacious venue and the relax ambiance. The big LED screen is the plus point of the hall as we can watch the full HD video. The food is excellent, we do received a lot good feedback from our guests. Special shout out to Liew who is the PIC of my wedding from the restaurant. Liew is professional and friendly. Everything has been arranged and executed so well by him on that night. We don't even need to remind him on anything. He even be our mc on that night as we didn't hire any mc. He spoke so well till my guest thought we hire a professional mc. Last but not least, we want to also thanks Ruby, Venice and the team that serve our guests on that night. We didn't receive any single complaint from our guest. Thanks Oriental Star team, without your support we wouldn't be able to complete our wedding and make it a successful one especially during this hardest time with covid.

Very poor service from the start. Visit the restaurant for my daughter birthday. Arrived around 6 pm. Want to tried the peking duck but its sold out. Very disapointing. If you only have limited stock you should mention on the menu so we can preorder first. Then there are only 3 waiters who can take order. Two of them cant speak english only one can. The older lady was very rude. I asked about the duck she just say no more and then she left. Not trying to suggest any other diahes. So we have to called the waiter again but with so many other table to attend we have to wave and wave for awhile until an older gentelman attend our table. He is the only one who can speak english. So he suggest the other kind of duck. So we ended up ordering that ( bad decision. The duck was dry the sauce is not good at all) , roasted pork ( it's just so so) , imperial tofu ( the spinach is bitter and smelled funny) , longetivity noodle ( the only tasty dish) The food delivered quite fast. But sorry to say about the waiter who attend for our table. He has long and dirty nails. And smelled too. Overall the experience is very bad. We wanted to have a nice celebration but instead an awfull one. With price they charge us we expect a better service and quality. Never back again.

Was here for its breakfast. Very nice breakfast and huge hall. Gets crowded during peak brunch hour (12pm). Easily accessible as theres a lift to reach right away. Dimsum was fresh but the presentation for some “must order” was a little disappointing when served. Can be improved better by plating. However taste was really up to standard. Strongly recommended their flying noodle with river prawn, very interesting dish and tastes good too. Woo Kok is very tasty! Crisp on the outside and soft in inside. Attached with photos of dimsum ordered and the receipt of the day. 14pax total spent RM756. Acceptable. Will return.

Had lunch with family for CNY. First time dining at this branch. Very spacious hall, good for weddings. Food was good, i liked the prawns the most, kids likely the roast chicken. Though there were may tables with people, staff was very attentive and provided excellent service. Heard the dim sum was good but was sold out by noon. Need to try another day.

Dim Sum is fine, hokkien mee quite good, fry lobak and chee cheong fan can be better. Dessert chill aloe Vera longan is tasteless.

Char siew pau is nice to eat! Cozy aircon and good environment of nice place to dine!

Quality food as always with the Oriental group. Service is excellent. Price is always the same as in all their other branches. Big banquet hall suitable for event. Siew yoke skin was not crispy enough.

Love the food here! Staff are very attentive, even if they might not be local but they know what they are doing. We love the roasted duck 🦆 and the fried vege 🥬 (fried Kailan) is very good. We order the set menu but ended up all too full and can’t finish. We even have to take away the rice 🍚 ( lap mei fan). They air cond is very cold so make sure you have a jacket 🧥 or scarf 🧣 with you in case where you seated 🪑 is very cold.

A grand hall and quality dimsum. Good service and very friendly staff. I think this is a good restaurant for wedding or event, family party. I like the dimsum with prawn. It’s very fresh and juicy. The chasew bun tastes good together with red garlic. The noodles is very nice but it’s quite big for 2 persons.

Kinda a bit atas for dim sum. All these can reached up to RM220++ leh. Each 'lung' is abv RM13 but only got 3 biji. Tot would have more when it charges this high. Taste wise not that spectacular, dimsums r not served hot but lukewarm like tat. Congee n mango pudding r as smooth as silk. Service wise tip top. Always keep feeling the chinese tea after less than 3/4 cup.

One of our favorite Chinese restaurant chains, serving consistently good food with pretty generous portions. Must eat dishes include: 🦆 BBQ duck with glutinous rice, duck skin was crispy and rice soaking up the flavor 🦀 Tofu with crab roe sauce, one of their signature dishes, crab roe is thickkk and never fails to impress 🧄 Crispy pork belly with garlic - super delicious and addictive, with the deep fried garlic being a show stealer 🐔 Salted roast chicken with crispy fish skin, seafood noodles and abalone fried rice are also superb. The only letdown here is their signature charcoal grilled iberico pork ribs for us. The taste is good and meat tender, but their ribs are somehow way too “skinny”? 🦴 The portion was 80% bone and 20% meat which was quite ridiculous. When asked they just said that’s how it is 🤷‍♀️ Well other than that we love coming back here for its other dishes and dim sum as well. They have a lot of branches and mostly maintain the same quality. Most dishes can be found across all outlets though some are special in certain outlets (bbq duck with glutinous rice can only be found in Oriental Star so far)

Very huge restaurant. Can organize your event here with large amount of people. But the business here during CMCO really affected. We ordered the special Gourmet set. The Pecking duck delicious with the crispy skin. Double boils coral shark fin soup very nice. Braised whole abalone is yummy! Charcoal grilled Iberico Pork Ribs tasty but cannot eat much due to heat. That’s why they provide the small glasses of lime juice to clean our throat. Their egg noodles with duck meat also delicious. Of course the snow swallow with ginseng also good for beauty. Taste good. Satisfied.

Located in EkoCheras mall. Can parking inside the mall. Went few times, one time is Chinese New Year gathering and the recent was my friend’s wedding lunch. The taste was so so only. But the environment is good, kids friendly.

Our church member had our Ladies dim sum brunch..Good service and nice ambience..Food was good but the noodles are not to my expectations.Have not tried other dishes since it was my 1st visit.

If you're looking for a fancy dim sum breakfast in a pleasant environment, this is another go-to place. However, be prepared for higher prices and somewhat lacking food presentation. The noodles are decent, but overall, there's nothing particularly noteworthy to rave about.

1st time to this outlet. They have varieties of set meals to recommend which suits your criteria. Their Captain (did get his name man in glasses) he is good & attentive, he recommended us a good set. Food wise is presentation is good, taste delicious & generous portions. Except a slight issue is we had this fried Chinese Kale and we found a strands of hair fried together. The lady Captain didn't apologize just take away & asked us what kind of Vege we want to replace. To her it's like very common and small issue. We ordered "kukpo" but they gave us "Heong pin" the lady also just brush it off telling us it's the same. I was like?! I know the difference of the tea when I don't taste chrysanthemum. Should have 5 star for service just because that lady so I can't say it's 5.

Went to have casual dimsum breakfast with my colleagues here today. The steamed dumplings were delicate and filled with mouthwatering flavors. The variety of dim sum options was extensive, and the service was attentive. Rate it 4/5.

Great Chinese restaurant that has plenty of outlets around Malaysia, mainly in Klang Valley. They do offer plenty of delicious food and dim sum which they served in the morning time. We ordered the full set course for 10pax and the food was delicious overall. Some of the dishes was a little oily for us. The suckling pig dishes was delicious. The place is quite grand with gorgeous lightings around the restaurant. Quite clean and well maintained. The reception area was great as well. They do have small private rooms for customers who has functions. They have Karaoke set equipped in each private rooms. This place is quite suitable for small functions and huge functions such as Wedding dinner, as well. Staffs were friendly, kind and polite. Efficient customer service.

The dim sum at this restaurant was decent and the noodles is okay. The variety of dishes was satisfactory, but the taste was average. The service was attentive, but the ambiance could be improved. Overall, an average dining experience.
