I
am
a
big
fan
of
Indonesian
food,
the
red
and
green
sambal,
pergedil,
among
others,
so
we
made
a
beeline
for
it.
My
wife
made
her
order,
and
my
turn
came.
The
ordering
process
is
messy
as
they
already
assume
you
want
the
Nasi
Kapau,
which
is
rice
with
an
assortment
of
greens,
sambal,
no
meat.
So
that
began
on
the
wrong
foot.
I
ordered
the
usual
Malaysian
way,
rice
with
MY
choice
of
meats,
and
others.
After
the
order,
I
made
a
quick
run
to
a
convenience
store
as
I
wasn't
keen
on
their
limited
drink
choices.
I
returned
and
waited.
And
waited.
And
waited.
My
wife
had
finished
her
food,
and
I
was
still
waiting.
What
happened
was
that
they
had
run
out
of
potato
chips,
and
since
they
could
not
replenish
it
yet,
they
moved
my
order
back
to
the
end
of
the
line.
They
did
not
have
the
sense
of
mind
to
inform
me,
or
at
least
serve
the
other
dishes
as
I
had
ordered
'hidang'.
They
thought
that
making
me
wait
for
my
food
was
the
better
alternative.
After
a
bit,
I
saw
a
waiter
with
a
plate
of
chips
walking
into
the
kitchen,
and
I
approached
the
serving
counter.
The
chips
was
supposed
to
be
mine!!!
Not
that
any
of
my
food
had
reached
my
table.
And
so
the
serving
guy
goes
into
a
rant.
I
think
you
get
the
picture!!!
And
I
still
had
not
rcvd
my
food.
So
it
finally
arrived!!
With
the
chips.
Which
were
burnt.
The
wife
warned
me
not
to
eat
it
as
blackened
chips
are
carcinogenic.
Anyways,
food
wise,
I
thought
that
the
chicken
serunding
was
way
too
hard.
It
was
impossible
to
strip
it
down
with
a
fork
and
spoon.
The
serunding
was
fried
to
a
crisp.
So
that
was
out.
I
did
like
the
red
and
green
sambals
although
I
am
a
sucker
for
those
things.
The
pergedil
was
average,
and
the
chips
were
burnt.
Excuse
the
rant.
It
was
the
frustration.
