Beach/water themed Resort hotel with all the modern amenities coupled with water slides, man made waves, fountains etc etc- delightful for the entire family with plenty of activities for everyone. Conveniently located mall next to the hotel with lots of shopping available for electronics, apparel, sporting goods n also a huge variety of restaurants n food outlets to fit all tastes n budgets. The hotel itself has the much talked about Gordon Ramsey restaurant but reservations are a must if one wishes to dine there. Service is extremely attentive n the staff are a credit to the hotel, going the extra step to make one’s trip a memorable stay at the hotel. Rooms are modern, clean and spacious with all the necessary amenities to even accommodate a business working trip— printer n zoom friendly. All in, a stay at the Sunway Resort would be truly memorable and definitely worth your hard earned $$$.

Beautiful restaurant! It is their “Hawaii season”. They serve us Buffet. New Norm, they serve us and we don’t need to get our food. The ambience and decorations so nice and cosy. So comfortable and most of all the food so nice and tasty. They serve Eastern and Western and also local delicacies. I enjoying my meal with my friends. Must come back again.

I slipped and fell on a slide in their new private hotel water park when I was playing with my young sons. Could have broken my neck or sustained a brain injury. My doctor says I was very lucky. No signage to be careful. No padding on the back hard railing that I fell onto. No duty of safety care at all on the hotel’s part. Reported it to the hotel. They did not take it seriously, did not show any concern as to my wellbeing or show any effort to prevent it from happening to another guest. I made this into a big issue, threatening legal action and suing them for damages ... and only then did they start to take things seriously. I was a frequent guest to their hotels - the Sunway Group. After my recent experience, I will not step onto one of their properties ever again. They don’t value guest safety. Not at all. Very disappointing.

The location is good, after all it’s in Sunway city. Hotel is nice as well. However, quite upset during this trip that the pool/ gym is not available as my kid is looking forward to swimming. Probably should have mentioned it on the Expedia which is the App I use, I would have never booked if I had known. I would never book had I know there is no pool.

Not recommended, service was very bad, they held me for 4 hours on check in due to room readiness. Difficult to get parking and the area is massive traffic jammed. Seriously you are going to stress before arriving and get more stressed when they are holding you due to the room readiness. It is not recommended to stay, better go to other hotel such holiday villa or sheraton hotel

Breakfast at Resort Cafe - spoilt for choices from Asian to Western menu & delicious. My family & I loveeee the Nasi Lemak prepared by Chef Syed. Nasle aka Joe ushered us to the best spot near the buffet spread. Thanks so much ☺ Kids & adult pools - Wow!!! My children just love to spend their time playing with the slides, dry playground, etc the whole afternoon. The adults enjoy chilling in the jacuzzi. Sunset cafe beside the adult pool prepared superb quality food. All of us had a good family bonding time while enjoying our lunch. Gym - same level as the adult pool was huge. Sauna & Steam rooms are also available. The friendly and approachable Gym Coordinator, Mr Anisan, gave us a tour in the gym room. He even replenished our towels regularly and bottled water. He's always on his feet. Great job Mr Anisan. You are the best 👍👍👍 Kudos to Mr Rizwardi for his warmth customer service experience making us feel at home. We stayed in this hotel from 2nd to 5th Feb 2023 - 5 adults & 3 children aged 12, 12 & 10. This was our return visit eversince the hotel refurbished. The first visit was on 14th to 18th Dec 2022 - 5 adults & 5 children aged 14, 12, 12, 10 & 10. Sunway Resort Hotel really made our stay a remarkable one. Thank you very much. We got upgraded to the business suite, which is overall comfortable and has plenty of modern amenities including an electronic bidet. Room lighting is good. Bed is firm but I wish the hotel uses a softer duvet. The current one makes a rustling sound each time I move. Kind of annoying. And why are there so many decorative cushions on the bed? Bathroom is great, except for the hot water, which is just cool and not warm enough. Drainage flow in the shower cabin isn't fast enough, so you get puddles of water on the floor. Breakfast choice is very good.

Lobby is very elegant. Rooms are nice, but the toilet is small, toilet bowl so close to the wall. Airconditioning is cool and breakfast foods are delicious.

This place was closed for 2 years and it just opened. It was amazing it’s like a brand new hotel and the additions along the linkway was so refreshing. Service is excellent too. The bed was a little hard and they sent an extra duvet, didn’t do the job fully but it was helpful. It used to be a drabby but now it’s such a joy to walk through.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing time during our stay at the Sunway Resort. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by friendly and helpful staff who made us feel welcome and at home. The resort itself is simply stunning. Our Executive suite was modern, clean, and very comfortable. The bed was very large and we both slept soundly each night. The resort offers a wide range of amenities, including a beautiful swimming pool with a waterfall, a top-notch fitness center, and much more. One of the highlights of our stay was the dining experience. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast each morning, which featured a huge selection of delicious dishes and we also had a great romantic dinner on Valentine's day! Overall, our stay was a truly wonderful experience. The staff was excellent, the facilities were first-rate, and the overall ambiance of the resort was simply amazing. We're already looking forward to our next stay! 🤩👍

This is our third staycation in this hotel. The first and second stay were very exciting. Kids were very happy and excited with the swimming pool. That explains our third visit here. However we are not happy with the service during breakfast. The staffs are a bit confusing and not friendly (especially one tomboyish staff) who asked us to change our table here and there. Hopefully hotel will consider in giving staff a proper training to serve better in future. Thanks

Wonderful place to stay at and have big conferences in their grand hall. Staff were friendly, food was great with lots of variety. Nothing much to really pick on even if one wanted to. Only slight complaint would be the huge hotel meant walking lots to get to various places but since it also meant getting from point to point was all air-conditioned, it was a reasonable trade off

This hotel is *the* epitome of luxury. Tourists all over the world come here, on business and vacation, and *they* love it. What more us Malaysians would say. Love the facilities and the decor.

Overpriced for a run down hotel like this. Apart from the extravagant lobby I can't really justify the price I am paying for the room I booked. It is smaller than average for the price range with stains on walls and pillows, even a dead mosquito on the ceiling. The sound proofing is bad - in the day time you can hear the blast music from the Lagoon outside and at night you can hear toyed neighbours singing karaoke into early morning. The service from check in to laundry is bad too but I would like to shout out to the bar tender at the lounge at 20th floor who take extra steps to accommodate us - hence the 3 stars for services.

Nice 5 stars resort in Sunway and a door step to the Sunway Lagoon theme park. It has a direct link to a very nice shopping mall with a lot of shops and restaurants. The hotel staff are amazing and helpful. The rooms are nice, clean and modern. The breakfast buffet is something else with a wide variety of choices to satisfy all tastes and a kids breakfast corner where choices presented in a way to get them to have their breakfast 😂 Overall, we had an amazing experience at this hotel and definitely recommend it.

Stay here during Xmas. The room was very nice. Place looks grand. However, the stay feels incomplete as direct access to Sunway Lagoon was not available. The design was pointing toward that direction, but physical access was not available.

First of all, I would like to thank Emily at the front desk, she is the sweetest. I loved the villas, the weather (we love a rainy weather), the view and everything. Service was satisfying as well. I don’t know whether the villas were renovated but WELL DONE! They are very spacious and well designed. Will recommend and will stay again in the future. Thank u 😇

My kids love the pool. Awesome place for the family. Toiletries on the higher end, very generous. Spacious room. Widespread of breakfast. Surprisingly, the Japanese food for breakfast. Indian cuisine and pastries are so so. Overall it was fantastic.

Resort is located next to theme park entrance and connected to the mall. Plenty of eating places nearby. BRS stationed is near to Hotel. Very grand lobby. Concierge team is long suits and tall hats. Nice

It was a very last minute decision for a short staycation on Malaysia Day. Check in and out was fast with Leela. She greeted us with her sweet smile and to my surprised I was lucky enough to be allowed for early check in before I could open my mouth to request for it. And my view was superb, she gave us the Sunway Lagoon view. All the staffs were so friendly. I lost my way while searching for the kids club and Izman was so kind to bring us there. The 2 staffs at the Kids club (sorry I can't recall their names) were also so friendly and warm. We were greeted with smile by the staffs at the kids pool too. A staff name Johny were so attentive offering chocolates and cookies to. my son. Felt so welcomed and will definitely come again.

Hotel is nicely decorated with a luxurious gold theme. Rooms are reasonably sized yet gorgeous. Check in is virtually smooth and painless. Hotel is connected to Sunway Pyramid shopping mall which has a plethora of F&B outlets. Now the downside: For a 5 star hotel, there isn't any complementary fruit basket or even laundry bags. Room for improvement. However, recommended for a family holiday or staycation.

Service was good and breakfast was nice. The breakfast had many options to choose from and the room was nice.Staff were nice but housekeeping could have done better as when we arrived at our room, the previous occupants trash had not been cleared and their trash was in the trash bin.The hotel had a swimming pool and a gym for you to use. It was easy to get to Sunway Lagoon and there were many shops near the hotel which you could shop at.The room also had a tv with many movies to choose from. Overall great hotel but housekeeping could have done better.

No doubt this 5-star hotel location was strategic, and the link to the shopping center and theme park was very convenient. There was no arrangement for guests durong breakfast and have to look for own table plus moat of the table still yet to be clean up and we need to chase for them to clean up the table few times. We stayed for 2 nights and paid our parking but were blocked during exit. Upon checking with the parking staff, the system updated our stay only 1 night and already checked out yesterday.... have to walk all the way up to reception and clarify the issue. It is an unpleasant experience for us staying in this 5-star hotel, and hopefully, the services and system can be improved. Thanks.

Just the best resort in kl! We’re always in awe of the entrance every time we are here! Also there is the kids resort pool with plenty of slides and the main pool with the bar snacks and restaurant at your convenience . You can literally soak in the sun for hours only made possible with access to the restaurant. Always a good time here. It was our third time!

Came here twice and both experienced in grand deluxe room. Rooms are spacious, bathroom equipped with Balmain products. Swimming pool for adult is super huge and nice. Waterventure a must go for those with kids. Easy access to Sunway Pyramid Mall. Service was good. Love everything about this place but the check in/check out experience. I am a Sunway Moments member and since it is new, I noticed that there are communication gaps between the reservation & counter. There is always a hiccup whenever I’m checking in/out. I do not want to go to the details but safe to say it put a not so pleasant experience over what could have been a perfect stay. I gave my feedback to the hotel previously, hope they can act on it soon before more guests experience similar thing.

We had an amazing experience with our friends and family in the Resort. The renovated rooms are clean, the splash pool and swimming pool is fantastic and the breakfast spread at Sunset Terrace is very decent. The kids club was small but clean and sufficient to keep the children happy for a good 2 hours. Special shout out and thanks to the front desk staff, Julian who was extremely patient, accommodating, polite and certainly went the extra mile for us. Anissa, the staff at the pool was also very helpful, friendly and made our experience with the kids at the Waterventure pool super pleasant.

Service needs a lot of work! Disappointment just doesn’t describe it. I called the reception numerous times due to an outage with the room’s air-conditioning and TV in the middle of the evening and no one answers. Had to physically go to the reception to find out that the outage just occurred and affected all the rooms but no further details was shared, not even when to expect it to be rectified. The duty staff took down my room number but made no follow-ups or updates. After a couple of follow-up calls to the reception (which I got to know is directed to a call centre instead of the hotel’s reception - no wonder nobody picks up!) was informed that there’s no knowing when the outage will be restored and this was already at midnight with no air-conditioning! That was all I got, anything further, to direct it to the reception. Just because you have refurbished the hotel, doesn’t mean you can claim it as premium, 5 stars and charge a premium price tag for such a poor service and quality! This is just unacceptable and absurd. Please fix this now!

Cosy and relaxing. Beautiful interior. The rooms were spacious. The kids swimming pool area was nice though, so clean and there were guards everywhere in the section. Overall a nice experience.

It was under renovation the parking did not access to the lobby. The oysters and smoked salmon of Ramadhan buffets of yesteryears was nowhere in sight. The serving staff were especially nice butthey could not make up for the missing food

Came here for a graduation ceremony. Didn't stay cause I'm poor and not sponsored :,( Anyway, service was great from what I experienced. From the valet/traffic staff to the internal FOH staff. Location is 4 stars only because its ALWAYS so jam leading into the road to this hotel.

It looks like a themed resort from the outside. Stepped into sunway resort hotel immediately felt like we’ve stepped into a grand place. A gleaming marble floor and with the use of black and gold color. Staff is accommodating, felt like home. Very good location as it has a linked bridge to Sunway Pyramid.

The Sunway Resort reopend on 1st of May 2022 after a complete renovation. It's a quiet place in middle of a very good Area with many options. Most important for me was the excellent and brand new room. Very comfortable and spotless clean. The service from the staff was outstanding and one of the best what I have seen. The internal Pool Area was not finish yet, but I was able to use the pool on another hotel from the sunway group next to the Resort. I can clearly recomend this place and hope I can spend many more nights in this nice hotel. A special thank you to the staff for the outstanding service!!!

The Best hotel in kuala Lumpur with the Best staff . Daowod ,at the reception was a very nice gentleman and with his Arabic language made it easy for my wife to communicate with him ,he is a great asset to any hotel chain in the world. Casey , the concierge, is the absolute best , helping all the time starting from the luggage to getting us a grab . BF was perfect with almost everything U might want to eat and very tasty. We booked a club room and since their lounge was under renovation, they served us at 5pm to our room a great service. We loved our stay and wished we could stay longer .

I can only say, don’t think just book if you going to Sunway Lagoon. No other hotels are so grand feel other than Sunway Resort Hotel. It’s accessible to the park from Level 1 Surf Entrance. You can also access to the mall directly. Bellboys, concierge and receptionist counters all employees are friendly and professional. I book for twin bed, it’s big and can accommodate 4 people instead. The room is very high tech, it’s detected by movement. So if no one is in room it will just off the electric by itself.

Resort cafe buffet … for Saturday night birthday dinner… set up was nice. Service crew attentive. Food flow good except for dessert refill at peak. Wrong place for tau tu fa… next to dim sum and fried rice 🤦🏻‍♀️.. enjoyed the sushi. Duck was a bit tough. The prawn lemak 🍤 curry was delish!!!

Just 35 mins ride from KLIA Airport, Sunway Resort Hotel is an impressive luxurious 6-star resort hotel location for a family vacation and for business conferences. Another must visit iconic venue in KL. Service is excellent with very helpful and friendly staff. Really glad a children-friendly water theme park as part of the Pyramid Hotel is being constructed now and ready in Dec 2022. Looking forward to coming again!

Hotel looks nice, room is luxurious, it reminds me of four seasons kl. however the service was really bad, not at all like 5 star hotel. Staff at reception counter lack warmth n were not efficient. I was there at 1pm n was told my room wasnt ready (check in time is 3pm) but they said they can give me a room right away if i upgrade to club room by paying an extra rm300+ per night. They said This upgrade would include breakfast for all pax n the normal club benefits. But the next morning at breakfast i was told my room does not come with breakfast. This is really annoying becoz even after paying all the extra charges (in d end my room cost rm1200 per night omg) they still FAILED to capture these things in their system. I felt conned coz when i thought about it again, i felt like they were just trying to charge me more. I dont think they were being honest when they said my room wasnt ready when i tried to check in 1pm. Coz even after i paid for the club room price, they still gave me a room on the normal floor (not club floor). Only later that it hit me, why did i pay so much extra when in the end i was still placed on normal floor (n same room features) and had to go upstairs to use all the club facilities? It’s not convenient and definitely not worth the extra charges. If i knew this, i would have just waited until 3pm and maintained my original booking. Being so calculative about letting guests check in SLIGHTLY earlier is just so off-putting. I have checked in earlier than the normal check-in times at so many other 5-star hotels and never had any problems!! Ive done it so many times at four seasons, and theyve always accommodated me! Sorry for always comparing with four seasons, but that is my benchmark for good hotel service. During check in they also gave me wrong info about parking n in the end my husband had to pay rm29 at the car park for the first day, when it should have been a flat rate of rm15 (for the 2nd car). Anyway We still feel it should be complimentary for both cars. It’s the least u could do la since we r paying rm2400 for the 2-night stay at a standard grand deluxe, with really sub-par service some more. All in all, i really wouldnt return if they continue with this kind of incompetence.

The hotel stays usually start with a good airport transfer and in this case it was horrendous. I’ve gotten better hotel transfers in India than this. We were stranded in the airport for more than 45 minutes when the hotel staff kept telling us that the “transfer would be coming in 5 mins” every 5 minutes. We were patient enough still to wait. In the end, the hotel managed to muster up a substandard dirty mini bus to fetch us, a group of more than 5. It’s evident that the mini bus driver was not familiar with the destination as he was searching constantly for directions to the location. I’m writing this now on the bus and I’m seriously thinking of switching hotels already even before reaching it. Trying to avoid the weird insects in the car at the same time. Nightmare. Avoid.

I had a great stay in this hotel. Stayed in a club room. The room was spacious, modern and high tech. Sensor operated toilet. Room furnishing was modern and nicely done. Manager Ms. Sahara was friendly, professional, very hospitable, ensured that I had a comfortable stay throughout. The hotel is conveniently located, attached to Sunway Pyramid mall with lots of nice restaurants and other shops. Hotel staff were polite, friendly and always smiling. I can highly recommend this hotel. Will definitely come back to this hotel in the future. Once again, Thank you Ms Sahara and her team for making my stay comfortable and pleasurable.

Great hotel and it still gives me an exciting experience just to be there! Still the same great ambience after 25 years after my first visit in 1998.

I requested for early check in when I book, and when I reached the hotel at 1pm, service counter told me room still under preparation; so asked me come back at 3pm. Went back at 3pm and they told me room still not ready have to wait till 3:30pm. They claimed they wanted to prepare the room in its best condition. When I went to the room at 3:30pm, floor was dirty. Nvm. Second day make up room, didn’t top up toilet paper. Third day make up room, no hand towel. Fourth day make up room, no coffee and tea. Didn’t expect such lapse at a five star hotel.

Just refurbished hotel. Gym was totally awesome and modern. Room was fantastic. Great service too. Buffet used to have more food last year. This year sort of less.
