I just can't sleep in the bed. The smell is horrible. It is so bad that I don't even want to breath anymore. I tried to put some perfume, but it just mixed up and it's even worse now. The hotel is old and everything is dirty. The sheets, room, bathroom. You won't find anything clean here. The worst is the smell on the sheets... 🤢🤮 It smells the old sweat. I can't even breath while writing this review. You should definitely try another hotel

Stayed here for 4 days for both leisure and business. Close to the airport but a bit far from the city centre and not easy to get into the centre. The room was modern, well decorated with a big double bed. The bathroom is also modern and clean with an extra mirror. The waitresses were polite and kind. There is a wide range of food for breakfast but the egg and ham is a bit boring. Unfortunately the pool is outdoors and it was closed despite the nice weather.

Its really funny when we asked the room temperature to be down, they have said open the windows to cool the room Paying 100 quid a day and still there are no basic services provided. As a hotel it looks nice, but the facilities are not on par with even the basic level. Being an accor plus member i was given a drink voucher, when taken to the bar manager he offered a water bottle or a coke for it with a rude face. He should be sent to school of hospitality to learn basic manners. Absolute joke - the pool - an indoor good looking heated pool which is closed 6 7 months a year - whats the purpose of it ? Definitely not staying here again

Nice hotel, I didn't use the restaurant as not my kinda food. I have very simple tastes like burgers and kebabs etc not my sort of food at all, and expensive. There is a mcdonald's nearby and a couple of restaurants that are more my thing. There was some issue with the electrics while I was there and I ended up sitting in my room in near darkness for over 3 hours while it was resolved, a couple of free beers in the bar wouldn't have gone amiss rather than sitting in my room in the dark, would of thought staff would offered but didn't hence the 4 stars. The rooms themselves are good and big with enough storage for a good stay if your planning a week or so. Overall a good experience blighted by the power situation.

If you are coming and staying here on a tour, don’t have high expectations as the only thing that looks nice is the lobby. Once you go up into your room you will be disappointed quickly. The sheets are old, they have multiple stains and the staff isn’t polite. My wife asked for different sheets and the sheets they gave her were bad. So she had to back again. The toilet was difficult to flush. At the beginning the ac didn’t turn off, we had to tell the receptionist that we couldn’t turn it off. Breakfast was also not good. There was also a lot of flies around the food and some of appliances did not work. If you have a choice DO NOT COME HERE!! In this hotel, the costumer is not right . The hotel is run down and not well kept. Good luck if you come here, as other people on our tour had worse experiences in their rooms. I forgot 3 things, once you go into the room it has an odd smell. The sheets are washed with vinegar or something as the smell was not appealing. Finally the room had an unnecessary door to divid the bathroom from the sleeping area and blocks the are to put down your luggage. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

Large lobby entrance with swimming pool on ground floor. Attentive consierge staff. Bar serving alcohol, coffee and tea close to main lobby. Very neat tidy and clean throughout hotel. Silent air-conditioning in bedrooms a bonus. Shower worked well. Bed comfortable. A long working desk is a useful bonus in the room I was in. The hotel is excellently located for Florence airport.. being 5 minutes away by taxi. Not a luxury 5 star hotel but I would certainly rate it a good quality 4 star hotel.

Gracious and helpful staffClean and welcoming rooms We booked this hotel at the last minute due to an unfortunate “incident” with another hotel close by regarding our carbon fiber road bicycles not being allowed in the rooms. We were treated with respect and kindness at Novotel upon arriving, even working with us to check-in early after the abrupt check-out at the other location. The front desk staff was helpful throughout our stay, even helping us find good local restaurants close by, and a brief encounter with the owner’s (didn’t know it at the time) was pleasant and playful one afternoon after returning after a brisk bicycle ride. I highly recommend Novotel and plan to return soon. Thank you for making the rest of our stay in Tuscany a pleasant and memorable one.

Excellent staff, especially "Renato🫠😇❤️" and his team at breakfast and dinner, They were always smiling and very welcoming. The hotel is family friendly and ready to assist you with any needs as my son has autism and eats special food which they store in their refrigerator until we need it. Staff at the front desk the nice young gentlemen and the ladies were helpful about getting to town with the bus and trams. Rooms were spacious and comfortable Great service from a Great hotel.

Unfortunately my previous review was removed. No worries. I will give my honest opinion once more. Receptionists are not friendly and have no idea about hospitality. Rooms are not good. Beds are not comfortable and don't ask me about the WC it's a nightmare. I checked in the hotel with my brother. First thing receptionist said to me was the booking is for 1 person only and you have to pay extra. However, it was clearly mentioned in my booking "upto 2 persons can stay in the hotel" so what was that lady to achieve there ? I am used to friendly behavior in Australia I don't know how this hotel operates. Will never recommend to anyone and I will ensure no one from my company checks in this hotel. Ibis hotel next to this one might be worthwhile to try. Very bad experience.

Stayed here for 2 nights on 9&10 August. Very impressed with the attentiveness and helpfulness of the staffs especially Ms Irina. Despite short of man power at night, she managed to have resolved some issues of my group. Many thanks to her. I like the location of this hotel for its walking distance to many restaurants.

We decided to stay cause we have rental car. Otherwise, it will be difficult to visit firenze center. Room has good condition, clean, spacious. Breakfast was good enough for us.

No water, they dare to give you paper cups, the entire room only has 1 usable plug. No idea how this hotel has 4 stars

Rooms are clean & Tidy. Air conditioning is there but you can’t switch it off, may be centralised. Friendly staff and supportive. Parking is there for free & paid garage. Breakfast is ok but not great. Bathroom flushing is quite a big task.

Rooms are very good, clean with full amenities. Breakfast is simple no four star quality and four star item spread. Location is outskirts the city of Florence. But overall hotel is good.

There was no food available until 7pm as the chef was unavailable during the day. 6 euro coperto for room service, even for drinks. I was eligible for a free welcome drink through my gold membership with Accor, and I would still need to pay 6 euro to have it in my room. There was mold in the shower and some of the towels were worn out. Paper cups for the tea and coffee.

Terrible. Yes it’s worse than the bad reviews state. Paid 300 euro for no air conditioning. It was 30C inside our room which was hotter than outside. When we spoke to reception they told us to open a window however the noise from traffic was too loud. Terrible location nowhere near any public transportation. Absolute waste of money and will be taking the horrendous experience further with the management at Accor as I expect better.

I was assigned room 806. The ceiling was dripping in multiple places, and the right side of the bed was saturated. I did not realize this at first, as I had checked in for a 3am wake-up call for early flight out, and just ordered dinner and prepared to sleep. That is when I discovered the wet bed. I was given another room, with lesser ammenities. Quite inconvenient. Staff should have known of this leaking. The ceiling was clearly water stained.

Breakfast was below average disappointing. Had one of the top worst caffe latte in Italy here during bfast! We also paid for late check out but we were disturbed several times. Being asked what time we were checking out. We had a pet with us so this is a plus since the hotel is pet friendly. The aircon also didn’t work, it was blasted at near zero degree and even if we turned the ac off it didn’t work. Generally I feel the hotel is not well taken care of and the cabinets were old etc, it is considerably clean but will I stay here again? I’d have booked Ibis instead next door and it’s also cheaper. I won’t recommend unless you have to do biz w the industrial offices nearby

The shower is open with a glass panel on the side. While showering, the water flowed outward and onto the bathroom floor. I used every towel available to contain it, and prevent it from entering my room. I called reception for support and clean up, but all they did was leave two more towels in my room, and the mess in the bathroom. They clearly knew about the shower problem because the shower head was positioned as posted in the images below. The sink drains very slowly because the blind stopper doesn't work. I certainly won't be back.

We were on a Europe Holiday when we stayed for one Night on 21 June 22 at Room No 214 and on the 22 June 22 morning at checkout my wife Handbag got stolen from the Breakfast Table at there restaurant and the Hotel staff didn't showed us the CCTV footage inspite of camera there and first Front office lady told that there is No Camera at restaurant but after we showed it and Insisted they said we can only show to Police and not to us , after calling the Police for a verification of CCTV footage the Hotel Front Office Lady clearly told do whatever you want to as we won't call Police and not let them in if called by you. Seems the Hotel staff is only the culprit and that's why were not at all Helpful in finding it. Would suggest never to come to Novotel Florence near Airport , have lost my precious stuff and don't want any of Travellers to lose there stuff from Inside Hotel Restaurant at the Breakfast Table. Shocking for us as have never heard about such incident inside Hotel Premises.

I ordered a two beds room which is one big bed and one sofa bed. They gave me two single bed room. Reason is they’re out of staff to fix the sofa bed for us. The single bed is extremely small only fit for children. I stayed in this hotel once a week. Usually stays for 2-3 nights every week. I paid 180 EUR per night in a 4 star hotel end up sleeping in a poor small single bed. Terrible experience. Never recommend anyone choose this hotel. Do not choose here.

We normally have a great experience at this hotel. We stayed in the superior rooms the first night and they were nice. We spoke to the front desk and asked if we could possibly stay another night and was told yes, they had plenty of rooms. The next day we decided to book another night. We were told they only had standard rooms left and we would have to move rooms. We moved to the fifth floor and it was horrible! They were very outdated, mold in the bathroom, stains in the carpet, internet service was terrible, beds were uncomfortable, pillows and linens were not of good quality. Overall it was very disappointing. We normally like to stay at these hotel chains.

Rooms are nice size but the condition is very poor, carpet is extremely dirty, terrible cigarette smell in the room.... Overall the hotel is not being looked after. Service doesn't exist, under staffed, no luggage help, etc... And the amazing is that although it is called airport hotel there is no shuttle bus or connection to the airport other than taxi... Definitely not recommended.

I booked this hotel because the convenience (close to the airport). I got my room 9:30pm and then I went downstairs for a dinner. When I got the room back after the dinner I realize that the bed creaked when I sat on it. Ok fine. Then I was trying to turn on the AC and it didn't work. I called to the front desk and the gentleman told me: sorry but you didn't try your bed before (really??) and the AC is not working because we are in the middle of April (what?? May 2nd is middle of April?? where is the relationship??). The front desk gentleman finally said: I can't do anything for you. Adorable customer service but didn't serve at all. I DON'T RECOMMED THIS HOTEL AT ALL, PLEASE LOOK FOR ANY OTHER HOTEL CLOSE THE FLORENCE AIRPORT. I JUST GAVE 1 STAR BECAUSE 0 STAR IS NOT AVAILABLE

Not sure how this is rated a 4 star hotel? Things look good upon entry to the lobby, but the rooms are old and outdated. Should be a 2 star hotel. The air conditioning barely worked & the fridge wasn’t even cold and you couldn’t adjust the coldness in it. The pillows are flat and uncomfortable, the buffet breakfast could be better, so if you have the option to pay for the breakfast.. I’d suggest you just grab breakfast elsewhere if possible. The wifi is also spotty from the rooms and only works well when you’re downstairs in the lobby or breakfast room.

Standard Novotel experience. Clean, comfortable, well sized rooms, nice European breakfast. Happy to have received an upgrade of the room.

Hotel was satisfactory. Room had no internal temperature control. Windows open was super noisy. Taxi price quoted from front desk who ordered taxi, price actually double. Good shower, nice bed.

My husband stayed there for work and I wanted to surprise him for Father’s Day with a bottle of wine and a letter. I just want to say that the staff was absolutely amazing and kind with me and my request and made everything super easy and beautiful! Thank you so much Alessandra and Carlos!!! You guys deserve a raise! :)

A standard hotel, belonging to a very well known chain, with good service levels. The rooms are quite modern, wide and cozy, the restaurant has a good menu and the personnel is mostly friendly and efficient. The location is convenient mostly for those who travel on the motorway with their own cars, as it is a quite far-fetched from downtown Firenze.

Excellent hotel, free breakfast and they have a cafe/restaurant open til late if you don't want to treck outside for food after a long day. Room was very clean and staff were all super nice. This hotel is very close to the airport, however be warned it requires crossing a few motorways if you try and use public transport to get there (Google maps says it's walkable). I'd advise to get a shuttle bus if possible. It is about an hour by public transport from the city centre which was a bit laborious, but a possibly cheaper alternative then a hotel closer to the city centre.

I was surprised! Based on some bad reviews that I read on google I was afraid to go. But to be honest the hotel is great for his poupose, it is a short stay hotel focused at this airport area and business sourounding. Check was great, bar service well and the room you can see that is under rennovation, new bathroom, new appliances and soon i think they will upgrade the furnitures. It is great for what you are paying.

This was the worst hotel stay we have ever had in our lives. The rooms were so bad, it was something out of a horror movie. Clearly they renovated the lobby but the rooms are something else. We checked in and our room smelled like homeless people had been living there. The pillow inserts smelled so bad would not even think about using them. The bed sheets were stained with blood! The carpets were stained and disgusting. We opened the balcony door just so we could stand being in the room it spelled so bad. After realizing there was no way we could sleep/stay in this room I asked the front desk to move us to a new room. They moved us down the hall to another room that was 10% better than the first. Instead of BO, this room smelled like an ashtray even though it was a No Smoking room. We still had to open the balcony door to stand the smell in this room too. We woke up the next morning covered in mosquito bites. This was the worst experience we have ever had in any hotel chain. I don't understand how they are still operating and not what I expect from Novotel at all.

3 star experience, definitely not a 4 -Old carpets, not clean, some old stains but not soiled (passable) -Bathroom quite clean (good) -Shower temperature is consistent (good) -Air conditioning functional -Weak wifi connection -Towels are very old and not very absorbent -Bed quilt, down blanket & pillow smells bad, stained and looks old (unacceptable) -Instead of a proper quilt cover, they use only a single sheet of fabric to separate the blanket layer. Hence the quilt will move around and easily touch your skin (face & body - disgusting). This is why everything smells bad as it obviously hasn’t been washed in ages. I have a feeling that the sheets aren’t even changed between check ins cos it didn’t feel or smell clean -Standard breakfast

Friendly and joyful personnel! Very very caring and happy to do their job! Particularly Eleonora (the waitress) and Carlo and Lorenzo (reception)! The room is satisfactory and suits our needs! Nice and clean! And last but not least, we weren’t expecting such nice meal at the restaurant!

We received the most excellent hotel service the other night when we arrived in Florence airport at almost midnight during a taxi strike. Two adults and four kids in the middle of nowhere and with absolutely no means of transportation to the hotel. We called the hotel to ask for guidance, and were told there were unfortunately no other option but to walk. So we started walking with all our luggage - pitch black night and all highways.. We did not get far before we received a call from the concierge telling us they would send two of their employees in private cars to pick us up. I have never been so relieved in my life! We owe the staff a fantastic start to our vacation rather than what can have ended miserably.. An enormous THANK YOU to the staff!!!

  • 1/5 Dave H. 1 year ago on Google
The hotel room had no air-conditioning even though they advertised it as having air conditioning. They also had no fans available on request. The bathroom and towels were not clean, and the pillow was uncomfortable. In short, our stay was well below our expectation especially considering that we paid 134.00 euros a night. Do not recommend.
