In love with this beach! The views are gorgeous, the water is crystal clear, and it’s easily accessible from Lisbon. During summer, they run a daily and frequent bus service from the Setúbal train station that stops right above the beach. In total it’s around 1hr 40mins from Lisbon, but it’s absolutely worth it once you get to experience this small slice of paradise. There’s a bar/restaurant with affordable drinks and tasty seafood, plus there’s showers and toilets. If you’re looking for maximum comfort, it’s also possible to rent beach chairs under an umbrella.

One of the best beaches in the Lisbon metropolitan area. The beach it self is really clean and the water is crystal clear, there is a place where you can rent beach chairs and umbrellas, there is also a restaurant. You also can rent a stand up paddle board and have alot of fun with it with good instructors. For sure a place recommended to visit if you are ever in Portugal.

Fantastic wide sandy beach in an idyllic bay with turquoise water. Unfortunately the road there is closed...1.6 km walk. Still worth it. Eating and drinking is also possible at 2 locations on site.

Blue clear calm ocean among natural parc. Water is very cold. Cannot take car all the way so you need to park and take a shuttle bus for 1€

The beach is in a fantastic location. The mountains behind you, the rocks extending into the sea and a calm sea. A bit of Caribbean feeling. We rented the obligatory umbrella and loungers for €20. Access and parking are certainly problematic. You should plan this well and not complain about it. Our strategy was to use a scooter to drive down the street that is otherwise closed to cars in summer. It worked great and we parked above the cliff directly at the stairs that give access to the beach. You can definitely get there and back easily with the buses. There is also food available right on the beach and if you want, you can rent stand-ups or canoes. There is a lifeguard area. At low tide you can reach another section of beach. The sun didn't come until around 2 p.m. due to cloud cover. A super relaxed day.

The beach is wonderful but the bar/restaurant at the beach makes the experience way worse.. the staff is extremely rude. I’ve never been treated this bad at a restaurant. Recommend bringing your own food.

Get a bike in Lisbon, carry it on the train to Setubal and ride to the beach. No hassle with parking and there is a ramp that leads directly to the beach. Park your bike by the rocks next to you and enjoy your day in this beautiful beach

Not easy to go there but worth the time to drive and walk! One of the nicest beach I’ve seen in Portugal. Little advice: if you go by car go around 9am so you can easily park. Otherwise take a taxi boat from Setubal.

Nice and quiet beautiful beach. A restaurant is front. Important: you need to walk at least 20min to get there

Probably the best beach 🏖 on earth 🌍 Beautiful beach with white sand, crystal clear water and the green mountains of Serra da Arrábida just behind you. 🤩

Everything is fine. There is no place to wash the sand from the feet or shower.

Be careful, risk of theft! Especially for vans and campers with foreign license plates. Do not leave any items in the car! We were only at the beach for an hour and the window of our car was smashed and all the items were ransacked. According to local police, it is a known place for thefts. Unfortunately, the incident spoils the impression of the beautiful sandy beach with a Mediterranean flair. There was also a bit too much going on for my taste. It's best to arrive by taxi/Uber.

Amazing place, clar water, warm water... Keep it in mind, you will need to walk a lot climb stairs, and the access to cars are restricted.

Favorite beach around Lisbon. The sand, public transport accessibility and water - just perfect. The only one minus is that sun gets down fast because of the mountains :)

Sandy beach with cristal blue water (but cold!). It is worth it since the weather around is usually hot and you an actually feel fresh and ready to the hot sunny weather. There are beach umbrellas to stay under but a bit overpriced in my opinion so maybe take your own. There is a beach bar with very reasonable prices to eat a sandwich or some quick food. Beautiful landscapes. Stairs to access beach

This is a beautiful beach and if a day spared whilst in Lisbon, its only an hour away. It's a satisfying visit, it's lovely to say at the end of the day 'I had a great day today.'

I had been cycling down the West Coast, mega hill down then a closed road! End of day what to do - get the tent out and wild camp. Most beautiful beach and sunset after a lovely meal in the restaurant.

Really nice beach, not too busy. Sand is lovely. You can walk/paddle/wade to the other beaches just along the coast. The water is cold though.

It's beautiful but the water is cold and there's not much public transportation. Better go by car.

Beware! Our car was broken into while we were at the beach for 10 min! They smashed our rental car window and stole everything including my passport!

Beautiful beach. Sand is the perfect texture, not too thick, not too thin. Wonderful!

Worth the walk but be careful of your car getting broken into... 😕

Packed place with no control of the amount of people inside, apparently you cannot go with the metropolitano card, but instead pay a euro for a bus.

Amazing beach, amazing sea. Access is not very easy. You have to park your car and walk or you have to go there by bus.
