We had a one-night stay at The Potting Shed. In the private grounds of the stunning Thatched Cottage we must say that The Potting Shed is a really surprising space, very cosy and well equipped. The en-suite room had a large, comfortable bed, a modern walk-in shower room with all the amenities to make you feel welcome and at home, but at the same giving you the feeling of being pampered. Surrounded by the lovely Kent countryside, a mere stone’s throw away from the stunning Hever Castle and a brilliant pub serving excellent food, it is well worth a stay here. Finally, thank you to the hosts, Ivor and Wendy, who made our stay especially welcoming. We will definitely return.

We spent two delightful days here. Wendy and Ivor were wonderful hosts. The property is full of charm and fascinating historical interest. Very close to Hever Castle which is well worth a visit. Rooms are spotless, comfortable and well appointed. The private patio was a real treat, a haven of tranquillity in a classic English garden. We enjoyed the continental breakfasts and the small touches that made our stay extremely special.

Wonderful hosts in a lovely setting, the house itself is a historical treasure. Continental breakfasts provided discretely every day in a basket in-room, and there is a friendly local pub up the road for food and drink.

Wendy and Ivor are fantastic hosts We had a lovely stay here as we had a wedding at Hever castle to attend which is a very short walk. The room was big and spacious along with the bathroom with walk in shower the view from the Potting shed was beautiful.

Spent 2 nights. Wendy & Ivor made us most welcome. Lovely, comfortable & quiet place to stay. Perfect for visiting Hever castle. King Henry pub a 3 minute walk for a good pint & excellent food

Wendy and Ivor are the most friendly and hospitable hosts. For our very special weekend at the Hever Twilight event they went above and beyond with our requests. The rooms are detached from the house and quite private. We had friends in tow so booked two rooms adjoining and enjoyed the feeling of detachment along with the lovely views. The rooms are well considered, spotlessly clean and have all the facilities expected..All brand new. Breakfast is left in a lovely basket for you to eat at leisure with fresh orange, home made cereals, pasties and fruit. Special requests can be made and fulfilled (our little one loves coco pops when on holiday!). There is a short walk across the grass which can be a tad muddy so take some wellies on muddy days. As a cheaper alternative to the Castle, you can’t go wrong here. A lovely location to explore from, great pub close by and Hever Castle is beautiful and great for families. Enjoy!

Excellent accommodation. Spotlessly clean and well appointed. Wendy and Ivor have thought of everything to make you welcome, including extra fluffy towels. Walking distance from Hever Castle and a short drive to Chartwell. I would highly recommend Thatched Cottage for a peaceful break.

Comfortable accommodation and friendly welcome in a beautiful location. The room is perfectly appointed, the bathroom and everything else spotless. The owners are the nicest people you can hope to meet, extremely helpful and kind. The location of the property is ideal for visiting the Hever Castle (only a few minutes on foot) with secure off-road parking, and the cabins have a truly picturesque outlook. It is quite wonderful to enjoy a relaxing cup of tea while gazing over green fields and the lovely garden. Simply cannot think of a bad thing to say.

We were delighted to spend three nights staying in The Potting Shed at The Thatched Cottage b and b. Wendy and Ivor could not have been more accommodating and helpful throughout our stay and the quality of the beautiful appointed Potting Shed in it’s stunning location within a very pretty garden, could not have been bettered in any way. Ideally situated within walking distance of Hever Castle and the local King Henry viii pub plus many Kent attractions within easy driving distance, we were spoiled for choice as to choosing places to visit. We look forward to returning.
