If you are staying at Heaver Castle, I’d definitely recommend coming here for dinner It’s only a short walk through the gardens. Beautifully laid out with lots to look at. Nice and spacious seating so you aren’t right next to the next table while you eat. Fast service, friendly staff, nice drinks and delicious food. The staff allowed me to bring a birthday cake in for my son They set it all up and all came out and sang for him It was so lovely. Definitely recommend coming here for dinner

This has to be the most beautiful pub I’ve ever visited. The atmosphere is amazing with all the centuries of history lit by candlelight. The staff were so sweet too and really understanding when it came to a change with my meal. I promise you will love it and it’ll be the most memorable pub dinner you’ll ever have.

Lovely restaurant/pub in a beautiful building. The food was good we went there for lunch but forgot to take a picture of the food because the place looks amazing. It's right around the corner of the entrance to Hever Castle. The burger and duck salad were solid. After our tour of the castle we went back for dessert which also tasted well. The dishes are simple but fresh which is what most dishes need.

Great Tudor style old pub. Best Sunday lunch I’ve had in years. The desserts were also fantastic. The staff were really attentive and polite too. Super busy at weekends so try and book ahead. 100% coming back here.

Fantastic food and drinks, a super friendly team, and an amazingly unique atmosphere that all history buffs will adore. After our day at Hever Castle, we walked (the very short distance) to King Henry VIII pub. We loved our meal and drinks. We arrived a little before the kitchen opened, but we were invited to wait at a table with drinks in the meantime. We were very lucky to meet one of the pub’s incredibly friendly team members who was more than happy to share the various differences between their various ales. She helped explain a bit of the history of the ales and the pub. We loved our visit. We will definitely return again one day!

It was very nice, this pub is full of history. BREAD TAX You are unable to book a table What I would say is supply more bread with the camembert instead of say if you would like more please ask. We asked for more bread and was charged at the end of the meal for it with out be told at the beginning. It's not about the money, you need to be upfront with what you are offering, would have rather it cost more to start with!

Good to be back at our old local. It hasn't lost any of its charm or warmth. Food was generous and delicious and service was brilliant. Shame we live so far away but if you take a trip to Hever Castle or just in the neighborhood for good food - it comes highly recommended!

Absolutely charming place, situated just outside the entrance to Hever Castle (worth a visit itself). We went there around 5 45 p.m for an early dinner. At that time it was nearly empty but within 15 mins it was packed with a few walk ins and a lot of pre bookings.. I suppose everyone else knew the kitchens didn't open until 6p.m. We sat in a sort of conservatory area which was perfect. The staff were incredibly helpful and efficient. FOOD We ordered the fish and chips. An incredibly generous size. The fish was the best battered fish I have EVER had. Super crunchy and tasty. Chips were lovely and chunky.

The service and hospitality at this establishment is great. The waitress really was lovely and accommodating. We brought a cake for a birthday which they lit and brought to us at the end of the evening. The food was delicious and well priced. I recommend booking well in advance as I understand it is extremely popular! We booked about six weeks in advance. Contacting the venue was slightly challenging.

Lovely pub with Tudor interior, wood panels, fire burning, wooden tables, candlesticks such a great ambience. Food was pub classics cooked to perfection at reasonable prices. Fish and chip and pork belly was to die for. Service was top notch and very attentive. Having just hiked in the mud, the staff found us a table even without a booking. Wine list was small and interesting, very well priced. A lovely country pub with a twist. Cannot recommend enough.

This is a very handy pub in walking distance from the castle. Nice food pleasant server's. BUT they serve chips in a basket which is really poor as they get cold by the time you get them. I ordered separate chips which came in a little metal bucket and were great, hot and stayed hot while I ate my dish. My suggestion to owners is "ditch the baskets keep the buckets"

Great pub. Nice old aesthetic that fits well with Hever Castle. Food is very tasty and staff are good as well. It's quite expensive - on average about £18 for a main which brings it down a star but the food and atmosphere does make it great. Worth visiting if you're staying at Hever, although access isn't great from castle (you have to walk on the road) and it closes quite early (8pm on the website).

Popped into here whilst staying at Hever castle, was idyllic, cosy and had great food. I had the soup which was so very tasty and we had no complaints from any of the other diners. We came for a young family members birthday and the staff treated us so well and allowed us to stay a little while later whilst finishing our drinks. Will definitely be revisiting and recommending to others!

Had lunch here before visiting Hever castle. Super cute/charming pub. Staff were all really nice, brought water bowls for our dogs. Food was GREAT! All done absolutely correctly — Sunday roasts were so nice, fish & chips best I’ve had in a while. Reasonable prices. Only regret: the weather wasn’t nice enough so eat in the garden so I guess we’ll have to come again ☺️ HIGHLY recommended.

This is a really lovely pub opposite the Hever Castle. Lovely meal we had before the show at the Castle on Friday evening. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Great service and delicious food. Definitely worth a visit ❤️

Great Pub which serves really good food (Cheesey Chips are delicious and portions are very generous). The pub itself is gorgeous with a wonderful atmosphere. You can sit out on the terrace or garden next to a pretty pond.

Managed to get a last minute booking after visiting the Hever Christmas Fair. The pub was packed! Very easy online booking system that took only a few moments. The service and and all the front of house were very attentive. Food was equally as good. Portions were generous but not messy. A couple of drinks, a shared starter and very filling mains came to only £40 (including service charge). Would revisit in a heartbeat.

It's one of the coolest pubs I've ever been to, if not the coolest. Good cask ales, great food and atmosphere. The fireplace was so wonderful to sit near to warm up after being out all day

Really old and interesting building. Very quirky and steeped in history. Wooden floors and walls and beams made this a charming, rustic and relaxing boozer. Good ales and spirits available with a good lunch menu. Additional undercover seating area outside with extra seating in a large garden.

So hard to find pubs locally for a decent roast. We thought we would try this place and we were not disappointed!! Delicious roast - one of the best I’ve eaten in a pub. Service was perfect - very friendly staff, and the atmosphere was cosy and welcoming. Will be back as soon as we can.

Lovely cosy pub located right opposite the entrance to Hever Castle. The dining room is oak panelled with an open fire which all makes it feel really welcoming. Also had a car park opposite and a large outside area. The staff were really friendly and the food great. Would recommend booking.

Fabulous pub with great food and service. Portions were generous and great quality and at a reasonable price. We’ll definitely be coming back. Never seen a steak and ale pie with such fantastic quality beef! Haloumi fries as a starter enough for three people!

I think we caught the back-end of their Sunday roast service, as some of the veg matched the mediocre portions. However, given it's literally opposite the entrance of Hever castle, and the fact they have a brilliant team, one must give them the benefit of doubt. It's also fairly priced. We sat out on the veranda, squinting in and out of the louvres as the sun was coming down. Lovely setting.

I didn't have the food here but it looked and smelled really good. Lovely place for a pint if you're in the area. Beer garden is nice but there's loads of space indoors as well. It's an old pub so the vibe instead is quite cozy and friendly. Can't fault it here

Gorgeous pub, tasty food and friendly service. Stopped here for lunch while on a hike and sat in the beer garden. Really well decorated with a great ambience. There were lots of people tucking into the food, which is always a good sign!

Great pub with fantastic food and drink menus. Loads of variety and the best place to eat when in the Hever Castle area. Definitely make a reservation if you plan on dining in and there is a bar area for bar snacks and drinks. The menu for food is superb and I had breaded whitebait as a starter and I was really impressed, lightly coated and very chunky fresh fish. The menu has lots of choices for meat and vegetarian dishes and you will be well looked after by the helpful staff. For main I had pork belly and it was great with a side of vegetables. Cesar salad was good and overall I would highly recommend the location. Great drinks too. Lovely venue with big garden in summer

Nice gastro pub with good food. Pork belly was great. Not sure why no veggies? Sticky toffee pudding yummie. Beautiful presentation of simple dishes. One star less for wobbly table.
