Sports scenerio in the town is in deplorable state. There are simply not enough children or youngsters who are interested in availing the sporting facilities. The picture is not good on the other end either. Office bureaucracy has ruined sporting environment. The facility lacks maintenance. New sports equipment lay unpacked and unused. The stadium, which has so much potential to be positively exploited, is hardly used by anyone, some occasions like Independence Day, Dussehra being the exception whence the ground is used for various activities.

Very good and big ground......we call stadium ground. Near by nh3 bypass ....swimming pull work also done by nagarpalika shajapur....rooms and facilities for players.....jim also availible in khel pas haal .....khel prashaal also a polling booth. ...and anganwadi also running in building....the police thana is also near by just some steps ....

Great place to watch local cricket match and football with superb energetic atmosphere. After renovation, this place is lovely & seating arrangements are good.

Enjoyed pankhida nav ratei utsav. Very good crowd but too much crowd.
