The grocery store can get REALLLLY crowded, and the "traffic control" process in the checkout lines gets comically convoluted. The first time I came here at peak time, a constipated customer barked at me after I briefly cut in line by accident. I had stood in what looked like the end of the line, not realizing that the line actually continued after a large, traffic-heavy gap behind which the "crossing guards" held back the next herd of people in line. Most things here are overpriced. The only reason I visit sometimes is that they do have a wide selection of imported goods, and a few random staples are much cheaper here than at other stores. Also, the cashiers are surprisingly nice and attentive. They actually use an appropriate number of small plastic bags (for wet/cold items) rather than trying to cram 20 billion items into one like most stores do.

2023 August 4★ Located in the basement area, this is a nice department store with groceries, cooked foods, clothing, camping products, shoes, kitchen appliances, as well as an assortment of off the shelf medications. Overall, a nice shopping experience with cashier's located in different areas.

One of the major Japanese department stores in HK. They run special discount fair every now & then, & and do offer fairly decent discounts on specific promotional items. During such time, invariably, it is always very crowded. Yata has a free digital membership program where customers get points per amount expensed. However, we never had saved enough points to be anything meaningful, & once did, but forgot about it. They should send reminders to members to alert redemption. Goods offered are very diversified. Supermarkets have diversified food produces. Recommended.

Compared to my previous visits 6yrs ago, the food shopping experience has declined. There use to be a much larger food shopping/food court area but now its been reduced to make way for more small sublet shops on the lower floor. Not impressed, the freshly cooked food/sushi section is much smaller with less choice than previous. The store layout is random and confusing and when you eventually find the checkouts you'll be met with long queues for the manned ones, the self checkouts not so bad. The freshly cooked food is good but sometimes the rice is hard and inedible (around 7pm) It's still worth visiting as a large department store and it's always busy especially at the weekends when I've visited during my hols.

For some.produces, prices are more competitive. The on sales period has become big days in the community. It's very crowded that cursing from elbowing crowd is not rare.Few China people in there, more closely and a very important supermarket for Shatin residentsGood products with promotion..

Will have everything you need to be honest. The prices are at a slightly premium compared to local stores but you will have a good selection of options and they are usually good quality. The food options as well to take away or eat in with are also pretty great to have
