What an amazing beach! We were here in November and it was even warm enough to swim! The water is translucent and you can see the soft sandy bottom. It is a beautiful color, aquamarine and so smooth and nice and very shallow going out. We had a wonderful time and hope to research returns soon. We were able to sit on the beach for free. There is public access on the southside. We were able to walk all the way up to the north end of the beach. There were plenty of restaurants there. We actually went to a restaurant on the north side of the peninsula which was very nice. You can also get some great pictures from the world heritage site ancient ruins nearby.

Best sandy beach in Lebanon. It's clean and you have the option of getting in for free or paying for a table. If you choose to pay for a table, you have access to a bathroom with shower. The mornings are usually more empty and the afternoons usually get filled with people. And even if there are a lot of people, the sea never gets over-crowded, so you still have plenty of space. I recommend checking the winds on Google before coming so that you enjoy a more calm sea (if winds are below 10km/h) or stronger waves (if above 12km/h).

For the locals it seems to be a dream, not so much for me, I can recommend NOT to go to number 24, non functional toiltet system and overall extremely dirty and unhygienic. It’s a shame it could be such a beautiful beach!

Amazing beach , beautiful pure water , i have enjoyed every visit to Sour beach and it takes me around 1:30 hours to get there from central beirut . The only annoying issue i would say that there are horses with their riders visiting the beach which is inconvenient for families/Kids. Apart from that , wicked beach .
