Took my twin boys (aged 9) that have autism there and there's a lovely lady in reception and the flight simulator instructor guy was very nice but everything was fine until a younger guy came along on a power trip for the last 20 mins and was constantly on our backs telling the boys be careful with the controls (which they were) then loudly telling us how many minutes we had left (thinking he was an invigilator during an exam ) we had paid for an hour and honestly the boys only got about 40 minutes or less and they both left a little disappointed. At one stage he said " be careful with the controls if they break we will have to pay money " which was unprofessional and not sure if we will go back.

My 12 year old son and I LOVED this place. The staff is so friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of!! Highly recommend the Discovery Tour. Seriously, the kindest souls here.

Very interesting collection of static exhibits. Their are a number of audio guides describing several aircraft and items. If you want to experience synthetic flight there's a group of high performance flight simulators for several people to gain experience of an aerobatic plane. For those who long to try something a little more up market you can fly a commercial airliner for 30 minutes under the direction of expert staff.

Brought TY and COOP student to the museum ....they thought it was fab! Plenty to see both inside and outside. Staff were friendly....both over the phone and in person....and very informative. Didn't get a chance to use the flight simulators ....but will definitely put it on my to do list. All in all a very good experience and would recommend.....rain or shine! €9 for student.

Lovely place! We arrived there 20 minutes before closing time, yet we were given a warm welcome by the owner, and could go about at our own pace! Looked like a small exhibition from the outside, but there's actually a lot to see and take in! Some of the aircraft displayed needs restoration, which I hope they will get the funding for, because even in current form is really worth seeing! If I will go to Shannon again I will make sure to pay another visit!

Great tour guide with excellent knowledge of everything to do with Aviation. Really enjoyed seeing the Fouga Magister, which brought back some great childhood memories of when they used to practice aerobatic display on a daily basis.

An excellent place that has seen a lot of investment since opening. Offers a nice mix of civil/commercial and military. Well worth a visit by all age groups with plenty of parking space available.

We took 14 scouts here to earn their aviation badge. The staff were just amazing. So informative and so enthusiastic in teaching the children about the different aircrafts on display. Highly recommend a trip to Shannon aviation museum to all age groups. You won't be disap🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
